Ordered the #4 (two of them) One with no cheese (American and white cheddar) and no Mayo one with no Mayo and I asked instead of the white cheddar if I could replace with American cheese Guess what? Got two burgers the exact same only one was made with two Pattie's and one slice of onion. I'm so pissed. I even confirmed with the young lady at the window both burgers having no Mayo and one with no cheese and the other with American cheese sub with another slice of American cheese instead of the white cheddar - she CONFIRMED. My receipt doesn't even have the sub with American cheese as I had asked Like WTF? Pissed annoyed is how I'm feeling just because I don't live that close to this location. I love this DQ! The teenage workers bring so much fun and positive energy. The mulatte is my favorite ice cream dessert hands down and the cheese curds are also delish. The customer service here are not very friendly at all. It seems like they are doing you a favor. "Me no like it." The restaurant is always dirty and the booths have a lot of grease on it. They should, at least, wipe out the seats with a dump cloth. But if the floor and tables are most of the time dirty, I would not expect the booths to be cleaned up at all. Food: I got the $5 deal which was the 3 pieces of breaded chicken breast and it was old. So disappointed!!! My husband got the mushroom burger and it was very fresh though In most warm days, you might wait up to 15 in the drive through to get your food. So, my advice is: just pro your car and go inside. They tried to charge me for the whip cream saying people try to do that and just eat it themselves. With my dog clearly in the car. This is the most petty thing a big company can do. Mini-size me. Blizzard & icecream sammies time! The small has always been just a little bit too much for me and day's worth of calories in a single outing but now enter mini-me blizzards. Mini blizzards are only 7-ounce mini for two bucks & change and two mini icecream sammies for $1.29. Two inexpensive icy cold treats with less calories on a very hot 70+ degree day on the east side to cool me down. Winning. Also, burgers are better than McDonalds but not as great as Fat Burger. And for a fast food chain, this DQ is slow service which is bad and the parking lot is a mess so do drive thru. Reason for the 3 stars. I dig the chicken whole tenderloin strips, fries and two texas toast basket with country gravy. Available in four or six piece baskets. Icecream blizzard cakes is another great option than the normal birthday cakes for dessert. On summer or hot days, the blizzards with health or blizzard of the month keeps me coming back during my work days. Don't forget about the mini me blizzards! ;-) read more

My kids and I have gone to this DQ often for Blizzards. Who doesn't like Blizzards??? They're delicious! But the staff here is spotty at best, and tonight a server here was SO downright rude to me, I had to complain to the manager (something I've never had to do before, ever, anywhere). While driving through the drive-through, I ordered 2 small Blizzards through the speaker. The guy taking the order repeated "2 medium Blizzards" and I said, no, 2 small Blizzards, to which he abruptly said to me, "hey, just relax!!" and I heard his colleagues laughing loudly in the background. This was all through the speaker. I was so taken aback. No server/restaurant employee has ever talked to me like that. And it was so unprovoked. This, in front of my daughter. I said through the speaker, after I composed myself, that that was SO incredibly rude and unprofessional. When I got to the window, I asked to speak to the manager. I saw a guy tell the woman who approached that he told me "to relax". She apologized to me but said how "stressful" it was for employees to work there. I work in client services, so I know what a stressful job is. Heck, I used to be a 911 dispatcher and, years earlier, a paramedic on the east coast. I know what a stressful job is. I commiserate, yes, but there's no justification for an employee to talk to a customer the way I was talked to today. In the future, my kids and I will go to the nearby McDonalds for soft serve ice creams or fruit smoothies. Never again will we go to DQ. read more

I've been going to this shop since 1980-something...it's a Redmond Institution. And I've never had a bad experience...until tonight. Ordered a small Oreo blizzard, which had about 3 pieces of cookies...it was actually just a cup of plain ice cream. It was obvious because the ice cream was pure white from top to bottom, with zero cookie crumbs. I asked the manager to add Oreos to it, but he became extremely defensive and claimed he would have made it exactly the same way. I'd never seen this manager or crew here before. The manager kept grumbling and grabbed the cup from me and said he would just add cookies and respin it. Which made it into a shake. The crew was disorganized and chaotic...this wasn't a busy night, but they were all over the place, bumping into each other, fooling around, trying to figure out what was happening. A few of them were idle, just pacing behind the counter, looking bored. They filled orders out of sequence, and filled the order for party behind us first. We had to ask about the missing dipped cone. The manager sighed and made the cone. Zero apology or thanks for waiting. I'm stunned by the whole experience. Blizzard was a soupy mess and not served upside down (if they would have tried it would have all fallen out). The girl serving was literally wiping all of the melted icecream from the sides of the cup when she handed it to me because it was so melted it was pooring over the sides. I had to ask for a lid and for napkins so the icecream wouldn't drip all over my car. Blizzard was also overly sweet, and had way too many candy bits in it. Growing up the blizzards were full of toppings and were mixed properly. The blizzards from this store have barely any toppings, only the top is mixed and the remaining 2/3 is only vanilla ice cream. We went back through the drive-thru to ask them to add more toppings and to mix it. A female employee complained the whole time that she knew what she put in it and it was fine. As far as fast food chains are concerned, Dairy Queen has always seemed top-tier to me. So far, there hasn't been any particular store that has proven me wrong. The food at this one is good, but service is pretty inconsistent. That's it in a nutshell. I do have to love the fact that the burgers aren't a greasy mess, the fries are actually really good, and there is a strong emphasis on ice cream! Seriously, ice cream is always fun and cheap and easy to make, so I don't know why Dairy Queen is the only one to capitalize on them. They had a deal where you could get a second blizzard sundae for 99 cents after getting the first one at full price while I was here, and I just couldn't resist. It's a lot of ice cream for a relatively low price! When I was here, the staff seemed to focus on making the order of the customer right before me, so I had to wait at the front of the line for a few minutes while a line was forming behind me. I wasn't too happy with that. They couldn't just get another person to take my order. The cool thing though is that they bring the food right to your table while you're waiting. That's pretty good service for a fast food restaurant. In my particular case, they somehow forgot my two blizzards, but I told them about it and they quickly got those to me and apologized. The service is nice but inconsistent. I bet they get tired of their job late in the evening. I really like the food here. They don't seem to have much of an emphasis on the size, so you can expect whatever burger you get to be of a modest size. Even the flamethrower, which is half a pound of meat, is still kind of small but slightly spicy and really good. I don't even think I would mind it that much if all other fast food restaurants copied Dairy Queen's example of how to make a burger. The fries are all a bright yellow; none of them are oversalted or overcooked. There are no small burned pieces, and they remind me a lot of the fries at Fatburger, which is very close by. The blizzards seem to be basically just soft serve ice cream with bits of your choice like cookies or fruit in them. The amount they serve you is plenty, even if you get a mini size! Sadly, this restaurant does have numerous flaws. Unlike the McDonald's which is just right across the street from here, this Dairy Queen does not appear to have a dollar menu, so all the burgers are really expensive! Keep that in mind while choosing between the two. Also, service seems to be slow late in the day, and I get the feeling that the workers don't want to stay around for very long. Worst Dairy Queen and awful customer service. Went through the drive thru and there is no screen that shows what I ordered so I expected the woman taking my order to repeat it back to me and she didn't. When I said "did you get that last thing?" She said "yeah $19.82 at the next window" and did not repeat back to me. I pull up to the window thinking maybe she will say what I ordered now. No. She says "$19.82" and I asked if she could read me my order cause there is no screen and she scoffed and rolled her eyes and then very rudely read the order to me. Then a boy who couldn't have been more than 13( is this legal?!!) comes up with my boyfriend's blizzard to the window and I asked for a pup cup for my dog and he gives me an empty cup? I said uhm, no the little soft serve for dogs you guys do. And he continues to tell me that they stopped giving the cones (I never asked for a cone) because a dog got sick. To which I said okay but said I don't need the cup. Then-- I had ordered specifically (and is why I wanted to hear my order) a chocolate shake made with chocolate ice cream with peanut butter and banana added. Yes this is specific. I have ordered it for years with my dad at various different Dairy Queen's as it is both of ours favorite combination. And we have discovered that if it's not said to make with chocolate ice cream that they will make it with vanilla ice cream and add chocolate syrup then the syrup settles to the bottom and it takes over the other tastes of Pb and banana and tastes bad. So I get handed my shake and it has a solid half inch of chocolate syrup sitting at the bottom. Did not taste as if it had any pb at all or banana. On top of it my boyfriend's royal New York cheesecake blizzard only had the blizzard toppings and strawberry filling for the top half of the blizzard which means we paid $6 for a large blizzard that was really half blizzard and half just a plain soft serve. Then we also had ordered a 2pc chicken strip and a large onion ring. Onion rings were hard and had no onion really in them just over fried batter. Chicken strips were dry and like eating a piece of tough steak. Very very disappointed. Rude staff. Awful food. And can't even make what I asked them to. Never going back. read more

Updated! New interior and menu. Seems classier somehow. I would compare the burgers to Burger King (see photo). You actually get lettuce and tomato in the cheapest burger on the menu, and the edges of the patty have that charred texture. At McDonalds, the burgers look like Play-Dough mold forms, same texture too. Not to bash McD's. Their stuff is comfort food to me. Nothing gets me through a bad day like an order of fries. But back to Dairy Queen - yes, you can still get a dilly bar even though it's no longer on the menu. And you can still get a burger for $1. But you don't have to eat it on a sticky bench. read more
