Very interactive, friendly, jovial, very interactive and going above and beyond to make us feel at home and answer any questions that we might have about their menu. As outstanding as the service was when we placed our order at the counter. The food itself blew everything out of the water. My cheeseburger on a sesame seed bun with green chilies, grilled onions, pepper, jack cheese, and all the accompaniments was probably one of the best burgers I've had in a very, very long time. Outstanding. My dining companion had her burger with green chilies and grilled onions and pepper jack cheese, and all the compliments served on a sopapilla bun. She said it was not good, it was marvelous, stupendous outstanding. The sweet potato fries were outstanding... Crispy, tasty and the serving was huge We were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time, but it had a friendly vibe to it and dislike a down home friendly Mom and Pop restaurant. I have tried to make as many notes as I can to make sure next time my man, Santa Fe that I grab a real burger. This place was off the chart good. I wish I could give it more than five stars, but that's my limit.

As we pulled up, it looked pretty crowded, a few families waiting outside. I checked on the wait time for 3 & was told 20-25 minutes. We don't consider that an excessive wait time any time we go out. And being from out of town, it would've taken us at least that long to find another spot & probably would've had a wait at any other restaurant. There was plenty of space to wait in front of the restaurant, it was shaded and the weather was nice. I don't know how long we waited for a table, but it seemed to be less than quoted. Once seated, we were served drinks right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered blue corn cinnamon pancakes with a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked crisp, just how I like it. The pancakes were really good! Different from anything I've had before. My husband had chilaquiles, those were really good. And my son got a traditional breakfast. The menu said it came with fries, which were more what we called breakfast potatoes. That was a good thing! Those potatoes were so good! The restaurant looked to be well staffed, everyone working and taking care of customers. This is for sure a place I'd recommend and would return to on future visits to Santa Fe.

Great combination of New Mexican food and normal breakfast fare. So many delicious things to choose from. Our waitress recommended the green chile Eggs Benedict or chilaquiles. I decided on chilaquiles and my sister had French toast with fried eggs and bacon. This was definitely the best chilaquiles I've ever had! The chips were tossed in a combination of the red and green chile, the eggs were cooked perfectly and the beans and potatoes were delicious!!! The French toast was good, pretty standard French toast. Service was fantastic, coffee and water refilled, very friendly waitress. There is also a full bar and counter seating. I sure wish they had one of these in San Diego!

The place is nice and clean with a lot of seating outside as well. We decided to enjoy the nice weather out on the patio for our visit. I love a shredded beef taco, my favorite style taco...other than an Al Pastor, but there are other places for that kind of taco! Back to the taco at hand! The El Parasol shredded beef taco. I ordered two of them along with a carne adovada burrito (for later). They bring the food to your table which is very nice. I liked the tacos, but they weren't as crunchy as I prefer. Also, there was something mixed in with the meat that I wasn't really a fan of. It was kind of like a paste, like it might have been mixed with refried beans and chile? It wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea. I'll have to try a ground beef or the chicken next time. We were heading to show and I knew nothing would be open afterwards, so that's why I grabbed the carne adovada burrito. They asked me if I wanted beans in the burrito with it, I said no. Just the adovada works for me! Let me tell you, this burrito did not disappoint. I know it would have been ten times better had I had it fresh and warm. That, I can say I would happily order again. For me, their burrito outranked the taco! What's your vote?

Unfortunately, the charm started wearing off when I realized the entire building was coughing. Kitchen? Coughing. Staff? Coughing. Customers? Coughing. At one point it sounded less like a restaurant and more like the waiting room at urgent care during flu season. I generally prefer my breakfast without the ambient soundtrack of respiratory illness, particularly when some of the coughing is coming from the people preparing the food. Meanwhile, the AC was apparently set to "meat locker," so I froze my ass off while drinking coffee that immediately informed my colon we had somewhere else to be. Combine that with the nuclear salsa and I was suddenly operating under a very real deadline. Naturally, I walked outside to discover I had been completely parked in. And somehow my friend, who parked in a totally different spot, was ALSO parked in. So now two adults with increasingly urgent gastrointestinal situations are performing eight-point turns in the parking lot like we're taking the final exam at defensive driving school. The food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, good eggs can only carry an experience so far. If you go, bring a jacket, perhaps a KN95, know the location of the nearest bathroom, and for the love of God, park somewhere you cannot get boxed the fuck in.

What I got was a gluten free sub with chopped up chicken breast, turkey, bacon, and HAM. I took off the ham and gave it to the dog. It was an okay sandwich, but the amount of work that went into getting what I was asking for was painful and unnecessary. Just curious...is incredible stupidity a prereq for living in NM? Had two other encounters traveling through the northwestern corner of NM today where everyone was complete idiots. It was incredible to encounter that much ignorance in such a short amount of time.
