Please beware of this establishment. Driving through from Key West to Miami we stopped for a bite. I had to ask specifically for a receipt which I was given for $18. I later found my credit card was charged over $50. I was eventually credited the over charge after multiple calls and no cooperation from the business. This place was okay. The gal working the counter wasn't that familiar with their products. A guy behind her had to help. They were empty when we stopped by. I just wanted something small. A little bit of something sweet. I wound up with a kiddie cone of soft serve ice cream which was minuscule. Sad to say, I think the cones I've gotten at McDonald's were better tasting -- and certainly larger for the same money. read more

Everything was clean and all the employees were so nice and were even helping us decide what blizzard to get! Very slow service even though we were the only ones there. The workers were just sitting around and when we finally got someone to take our order she seemed really confused. I was there a few nights ago and there was a particular young lady that caught my eye, she was short with freckles all over her body. Her hair was a complete mess and there is no doubt the hair I found in my blizzard was hers. She was waving her vape device around and started using it around the food. She even went as far as to hand me my blizzard with the device in the same hand. She was yelling at all her co-workers non stop and just being a nuisance to everyone around. Her attitude towards other customers and co-workers was disgusting. She has no self awareness and I would personally like to see her be terminated from her job. People like that should simply not be in the fast food industry. Not a good crew team member and repulsive behavior towards customers. read more

Unfortunately, I saw several employees preparing and handling food who were wearing masks, but the mask was down below there noses as they handled everything. Not just for a moment, but continuously. Past couple times have been disappointing. The most recent visit was quite a chore. We went through drive thru. We wanted a shake but was told the machine was broken (not the first time either). Was surprised that they did not have a backup plan. So my wife ordered a mint chocolate chip blizzard and I ordered a medium vanilla cone. At the window we paid (I didn't give much thought to the price) we got the blizzard and waited for the cone. A while goes by and the young man comes to the window and asks if we needed something. We Said we are waiting on the cone. He tells us we didn't order a cone. So not to argue, I tell him I'd like to have a medium vanilla cone. He comes to the window with a small cone and I had asked if that was a medium. He closed the window walks away and a Young girl comes to the window trying to hand me the small cone. I told her that I had ordered a medium. She disappears, a while later an adult comes to the window and asks if I needed something. I told her I was waiting on a medium cone. She the said well you were charged for a small. I couldn't hold my laugh anymore. I said charge me the difference and I want a medium cone. You would have thought I had given her an impossible scientific problem to solve. After figuring out the difference I paid what she asked. Finally I got a medium cone from Her. The other two employees went into hiding I guess. And, if that want bad enough my wife barely had mint or chocolate chip in her blizzard. Anyway I have had great service before But I also have had bad service at that DQ. I keep going back bc I want to support them as I was a a franchisee for over 30 years. Disappointed everytime I've gone. We spent $20 and threw $17 of it in the trash. Grease was old, so fries and chicken tenders were nasty. Burger buns and condiments fine, but beef was a tire patch. If you are in the mood for ice cream or a soda from the Freestyle Machine and not in a hurry to get out of the Keys, go for it. We sat outside to eat which was nice. They forgot our ice cream and blizzard so I sent the kids back in with the receipt. They were gone 10 mins. This is a nice stop after a good day at the beach. This location is located in-between the north and south bound Overseas Hwy. It is easy to get to and they have a drive thru and a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. The inside was clean despite being about to close they took care of us. From the reviews the service may be hit or miss. The day we went the service was good and they were super busy with a school bus there with like 30 kids on there. We will visit again for sure. We placed our order and the friendly gentleman fast and accurately prepared our order. We ordered a chicken basket with gravy and the chicken sandwich. The items came out hot and fresh.
