The amount of ingredients they put in is close to nonexistent even when paying for extra! Additionally, scraped top off blizzard was new for us! So throw it in trash instead of giving to customers! I wish I could give zero stars. Every time we go here the experience is worse' but this was the worst! I ordered a banana split for my husband and got two boxes of dilly bars. On the banana split I ordered chocolate, strawberry and caramel. I stated "NO PINEAPPLE"After waiting while the manager and one employee took care of the drive through. The manager asked banana split? I said yes with strawberries, chocolate and caramel. "NO PINEAPPLE" When I got home it was pineapple and strawberry. No Carmel and no chocolate. The manager shirt was filthy and the young man running the drive thru was completely incompetent. After 11 years of shoddy service we won't be going back, we are done with thst location! Dairy Queen has existed in Chicagoland since 1938. They sell soft serve "ice cream" and are most famous for their Blizzards, thick shakes with candy mixed in. They cost $4-$5 nowadays. I got a tiny hot fudge sundae with Cool Whip for $3.50 The Warrenville DQ was really clean and organized. It's tiny, only seats 10 customers. The staff was friendly and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I like to see that. I subtracted 1-star for the annoying music and because there is no outdoor seating! This DQ has indoor seating, ice cream cakes and hot dogs. The funnel cake ice cream dessert was alright. The funnel cake was a little stale and certainly not near as good as a carnival funnel cake. I have never had such a blatantly rude customer service experience. Hours listed online say close at 9:30. I wait behind two other cars at 8:55pm. Those two cars are served. As I pull up to the drive through window (because the doors to order inside were locked), a worker turns off the open sign and locks the window with a closed sign. I was making eye contact with them... and there were two cars behind me? I'm confused at even if the hours were not correct online, why would you not serve your remaining customers in line..? This was my first Dairy Queen experience EVER! I was way too excited as Eric S and I walked into the store after attending a Yelp Elite event nearby. There were a few families having some ice cream cones when we walked in. Not too crowded. Once we got to the front of the line, the options were a bit overwhelming. Berry cheesecake, orange creamsicle dipped cones, cookie dough, oh my goodness! I ended up ordering a small cotton candy blizzard, which probably had a bajillion grams of sugar but it was AWESOME! How I ended up in here is a rare mystery but apparently a warm Spring day can alter your thought process, I did a rare thing trading a cool refreshing ice laden frosty beer mug for a..."Malted Milk Shake"!?! The malt cup size was less than a McDonalds small coffee This is a shocker! The set up at the Warrenville DQ is a bit unusual, you order & you pay. The preparation of your order is concealed by a wall. No visuals whatsoever. You see nothing: you only hear clicks, bangs, buttons, knobs, spoons, mixers and finally the familiar sound of dispensed whipped cream. All of these big and loud sounds build your suspense followed only by a disappointing "small" presentation. Lesson learned. I need to see things. I like Diners because you can watch the food prep from start to finish. I like bars that have quality food and allow you to sit and have your dinner ...at the bar! I like Emeril's in NOLA because you can sit at the kitchen bar and view the Chefs prepare and plate your order in total chaos! So what does this have to do with anything? If I could give it 0 stars I would. About three weeks ago we stopped here. Have stopped here on occasion because it's not far from where we live. A young girl. --Very polite --made a blizzard with many pieces of paper in it. She did not offer to make a new one until we requested it. We called the owner who talked with my wife and said it would make a great teaching event for the staff, and he would send a gift card. Never received it. Went in today and the owner was there. Told him We didn't get the gift card. He said he doesn't do that. Lie number 1 ---------Then he said something about the girls eyes. We had no idea about that. He accused us of being discriminatory. How can you be discriminatory when you don't know. In fact when he said it today my wife responded ---"maybe someone else working there could help her." Lie number 2. ----Terrible treatment. Giving us a free blizzard would have made this so simple. Taking responsibility and not pushing it on us. We didn't make the product. His employee did. Great customer service! The place is squeaky clean and the blizzards are amazing. They are usually able to substitute any toppings in your blizzard and maybe help you creat your own. Ask for a mud pie with brownies the owner knows how to make it...it's not on the menu but my all time favorite. Stop in! You won't be disappointed! read more

I went through the drive through to purchase gift cards, a drink, and a treat for my dog. I didn't go into the store because I had my dog with me. I was the only person in the drive through at the time. I spent almost $70 on the gift cards (they were Valentine's Day gifts for my grandkids) and my dink. The girl at the window didn't know how to ring the cards up so she called the manager over, which proceeded to tell me I need to come inside next time. I looked behind me and nope, no other PAYING customers were in sight. I explained that I had my dog and didn't want to leave him in the car in the cold, and there were no other cars so I didn't see the issue. This is the worst Dairy Queen ever. Horrible cleaning conditions, they only use rags that they don't actually clean, they just bleach it and then they wipe stuff, not actually disinfect anything, there's a wall that hides everything that people make, and the workers are always stressed because there's not enough of them working and the pay is really bad. The manager is rude and unprofessional, controlling the workers with fear. I would not recommend ever working there, the working conditions are horrible and you work a lot for little pay and you leave a shift feeling stressed. I would not recommend eating here because the food/ice cream products are usually left out where flies get in them (Especially the pumpkin) in the summer, thousands of mosquitos and night time bugs (including moths) are in dairy queen every night and are NEVER taken care of. The hot dogs are literally cold "meat" that's just thrown into the microwave for only 15 seconds after sitting for weeks. Please don't ever go here, it's not worth your money. read more
