We're talking a 70/30 ratio of ice cream to cake...YES you heard that right, 70% ice cream to 30% cake/cream ratio. The issue with Baskin Robbins is there's so much cream and cake that you might as well buy a regular cake and put a scoop of ice cream on it. Frozen cake is no bueno even if you're advised to place it at room temperature prior to serving. Then you get mooshy ice cream and semi-frozen cake. Coldstone's charges a premium $$$ for a product I believe is inferior to DQ. The chocolate was an overload of deliciousness...some might say a bit much. So much so I couldn't even finish a slice. The only complaint is there aren't a lot of locations that have the cakes as most are in malls that serve your standard blizzards, sundaes, dip cones etc. Make sure they flip that blizzard upside down and if you're craving a chocolate dipped cone they are one of the few places (Mcdonald's got rid of the dipped cone because the workers were wasting more napkins wrapping the cone than the price of the cone) left serving them. read more

It was fairly busy since I never come here. They only have 2 people working so you will have to be patient. I got a small cone and it was tasty. I thought the flavor was light. I like blizzards from this franchise, but I don't recommend this location. The blizzard was not made with love and just handed to me. Jessica, the rude cashier, argued with me that the blizzard rule did not apply to this location and even though I was just handed to me and set it on the counter, she flipped the blizzard in front of herself for her own satisfaction. It's been years since we've had a blizzard so we visited this Dairy Queen branch at The Marketplace in Tustin. The varieties of blizzards seem to have broadened over the years with new creations like Ghirardelli chocolate covered strawberry and Oreo hot cocoa. Coming here reminded me why we usually opt to try other ice cream and soft serve joints. Ordering cold treats from a place that also specializes in fast food just doesn't feel right. This is a very small location but they have all the usual ice cream treats: soft serve, shakes and Blizzards, along with sundaes. They also have some other unique items: their Frappe, Arctic Rush, and MooLatte. They also have a nice selection of ice cream cakes as well as ice cream sandwiches and ice cream bars. They do have a limited menu of food items, but not as much a stand-alone DQ would have. The service is very pleasant and they do a good job of making the orders promptly. read more

This Dairy Queen opens til 11pm on fridays and Saturday's which is awesome! I highly reccomend their Blizzards. Their soft serve is always so creamy and delicious and their add ins add the texture needed to make it a delicious treat. My absolute favorite is the S'mores blizzard! You can really taste the graham crackers throughout and huge chunks of Hershey pieces with marshmallow. My boyfriend got the Twix blizzard which is good too except I'm sometimes not a fan of the candy bar pieces because the caramel gets too hard when put inside the cold soft serve. They have new flavors, berry cheese cake and the Jurassic chomp (peanut butter bites) which I'm going to come back and try! It's a little pricey a mini blizzard was almost 4$ but I think it's quite filling. Overall Dairy Queen's blizzards are quite addicting but they melt fast! Eat it right when you get it! read more

The young female employee who was working the cash register, (not sure what her name was, seemed of Latino ethnicity) had very poor customer service. Very little eye contact, barely responded when I asked for napkins and a to-go box. I stood there waiting in confusion then I asked her so are you able to get those items? & she responded, "yeah [the male employee making the ice creams in the back] will get it in a minute]. I had to do more work by having to ask her what the result is of my question, instead of her telling me what is going on (the customer should never have to do more work than the employee). I left feeling very frustrated and in the "twilight zone" from the poor communication between the female employee and I. Otherwise, the ice creams that I bought were super delicious. read more
