Went on a Saturday around noon. The line was short and moved quickly. Around 15 minutes. I ordered a regular iced matcha latte. The matcha is whisked and prepared on the spot. It was perfect amount of sweetness and I recommend ordering it with light ice so that the drink doesn't get watered down from ice. (5/5) Got a financier as well. It was mugwort and fig flavored one. I've had DAMO bookmarked for a coo minute now! I happened to be in the parking lot for Out of Ordi so I figured it's about time I try them out too. I went by today (Thursday around 1145ish so I didn't have a wait). I got the Chocolate Forest Matcha Einspaner w/ oatmilk + the Chestnut Einspaner to go. The chocolate cream top on the Chocolate Forest was excellent paired with the strong earthy matcha ~ the cream tasted like chocolate pudding. The drink was perfectly sweetened and definitely had a decent amount of matcha (very energizing that's for sure). The Chestnut Einspaner was unique (first time seeing this flavor einspanner anywhere). It was a sweet latte with a fun lil surprise at the bottom [a softened chestnut]. This drink was also very tasty if you enjoy sweeter lattes! The presentation was cute and the service was efficient. I'd come back in the future when I'm around the area again. We decided to try DAMO because many people online were praising their great matcha flavor and thick einspanner foam. We don't usually go to many matcha places anymore because many have either fishy matcha, too bitter, or gritty texture. For those reasons, we are on the hunt for good matcha. We ordered the matcha einspanner and the strawberry matcha einspanner to test validity of the online claims. I believe the only adjustment that can be made to the drinks is the milk type. No adjustment to sweetness or ice level was made. I'm happy to report that everything said online is true. The matcha itself was had nice grassy notes, a smooth texture, and perfectly sweet. They use Monin syrups as their sweetener of choice. The einspanner layer was thick and similarly perfectly sweet. For the strawberry syrup, it had nice texture of mashed macerated strawberries. The drink itself was also decorated beautifully with a small dusting of matcha towards the opening of the lid. I would come back for just the matcha but the ambiance just added to the charm. Very interesting Korean tea experience. Modern simple minimalist Korean tea house atmosphere. We tried jeju forest black and rouge bourbon tea. Our tea order came with the whole tea tray set including a side treat of dried jujubee and yakgwa. They gave us 3 minute sand timer to wait for our tea and instruction to first pour over the large glass and let it sit for tea leaves to sink down and pour to our tea cup to drink. It was a very interesting experience to slow down and enjoy our tea but our tea leaves (especially for rouge bourbon tea leaves weren't filtered at all and it was impossible to drink without having the tea leaves pour into our tea cups. From looking at the vid on Google review, it would of been more helpful olif we were given the leaf shaped metal strainer for additional layer to filter out the tea leaves. I fear DAMO is my standard for all matcha einspanners now... My friends and I came here roughly before 11 AM on a Sunday and surprisingly no line! However, at around 11:30 AM, a line started forming, so definitely come as soon as you can. Parking was not a problem for us, but I can see the parking lot being busy with the surrounding shops and restaurants. The cafe was on the smaller side with roughly 5-7 tables iirc. I ordered the matcha einspanner and it came out quick! The cream was super creamy and it wasn't too sweet! The matcha was strong and it paired well with the slightly sweet cream. The thing is, not everyone is a coffee snob and knows what's in a drink. And even then, it's normal for a customer to make a mistake when ordering.
