I got recommended to this smog shop by my mechanic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The gentleman doing the service is always busy with clients, which is a really good sign of trust amongst his clients.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The shop is small, but well organized. It's a "Pass or Free Retest" shop. Pricing is fair. It's a lot a cheaper than others near the area. He's fast, and efficient with his time. I've been coming here for three years now.

My husband went here for smog check on his 1996 Honda Accord...The mexican man did the check but tampered with the numbers too fail his car then proceeds too tell him for 150.00 dollars he can pass the car for my husband...my husband like the car passed a smog last yr from previous paper work that dont sound right...so he left with the fail paperwork ...so few weeks later my husband takes the car for another smog check different location..SMOG FATHER on El Segundo in Hawthorne...Same vehicle no work on the car nothing why did the car PASS the smog check...no problems...wow...bottom line DON SMOG CHECK scammers making money off of ppl with all this going on (covid19)they ripping ppl off or atleast trying too..DONT GO THERE ESPECIALLY if u have a older model vehicle...They will tell u theres a 90 day to re test but of u dont have ur paperwork they gonna say its 30 days...My car was broken into and my paperwork was stolen and HE went too back for retest they said he had to pay all over again..so this is the reason he went too SMOG FATHERS IN HAWTHORNE ON EL SEGUNDO.. read more

I was looking for a smog check station that was cheap and open on the weekend and after calling five other places I came to Dan's. When I arrived I had to wait only about ten minutes until it was my turn. The young guy that helped me was extremely polite, friendly and treated my car with care. This smog test was the easiest of my life. I went in an hour before close and was in and out in less than 20 min. Probably less than 10. He offered me chocolate when I first came in which already made me love the place. I waited a bit in the seats he provides for the people in front of me to finish up. Then I was hooked up and out in no time. My Civic passed easy and I was on my way. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Great customer service, good price, near home. Easy. Wish I could give above 5 stars. Chose this place cause of reviews and proximity to DMV. Owner was extremely friendly and professional. Told me how long I'd have to wait till he got to mine and was spot on. Then got mine done in 10 mins. And like the other reviewers mentioned, can't beat the water and bubble gum. Dan was very friendly and provided me with a courtesy water bottle as soon as I arrived. If you have a 1999 or newer vehicle the smog check will only take a few minutes. Dan also offered me multiple pieces of chewing gum which I found to be unique compared to other smog check places. I would recommend Dan's smog check if you are looking for speedy service and exceptional customer service! read more

Wow, the best smog check station I have come. Service supper fast and friendly, they will try their best to make sure you and your car come out with the most satisfaction. I made an appointment through their website, very user friendly, and received a confirmation text shortly after. I decided I needed to modify my appointment, there didn't seem to be an option to do it on the website, so I texted the number back and asked to change my appointment, this was done quickly without issues. I arrived to my appointment 10 mins early. Dru was very helpful, friendly and professional. He entered my car's info into the system, and once my car passed the smog check, everything was updated and entered into the system already so that when I pay my registration, the DMV (or in my case, AAA) will see that my car passed the smog test. In case the system isn't updated, I was provided with a hard copy certificate to prove that it passed. My entire appointment took 10mins altogether, can't beat that! Pricing was fair and affordable, depends on the year of your car. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick smog check station.
