Dan's Kitchen has moved to Green Bay. They are excellent. They were replaced by PTY's Kitchen. The food is excellent and the menu is the same. Unfortunately for me, they are more authentic with their spice levels. Even when you specify mild or no spice, it is very! spicy. I had to quit eating when I could no longer taste the food. I love this place. The food is soooo good, and the portions are great. My current favorite is the Pad See Ew with chicken, but I love the basil stir fry, the drunken noodle, the potato curry - I've had most of the menu now, and have yet to try something I wouldn't rate a 10/10. If you haven't been here and don't know what to order, you might think you're playing it safe by getting fried rice, but you're really missing out. Try something you might be hesitant about. If you can't decide, order the Pad See Ew (pronounce it just like it's spelled and you're fine) with chicken. This newly opened Asian kitcken is the real deal. For $8.50 you can get a nice lunch or dinner. They feature several popular dishes and appetizers. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday about noon. There were a quite a few people, but still a couple of empty tables. The place is nicely decorated not necessarily in Asian decor. I ordered a dish called drunken noodles. These are homemade rice noodles with stir fried peppers, baby corn, basil, and beef. This was all prepared with a white wine sauce. Everything was very good. They have 5 tap microbrew beers and several well known brands of bottled beer. There is a sign instructing you to order before you sit down. They being out your order along with your drink. Unfortunately we didnt get our drinks until the meal came. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Dan's is a nice addition to Sturgeon Bay. read more

I've done takeout twice. It's ok. Pad Thai i ordered tonight had no lime, cilantro, or peanuts. Just noodles, sauce, and chicken.

I've only been here 2 times in the last two years and each time my family and I have not had good service. They always forget to make one person's food and the person who didn't get their order didn't get to eat with everyone. You have to wait forever to order, then wait forever to get even water at your table. Then they don't check on your table at all to see if you need more drinks. Very bad service. I understand the workers are probably family, but please train them to provide better customer service, or hire help! Please do better Dan's Kitchen! read more

We decided to get takeout from here after a long day of romping around Sister Bay and Bailey's Harbor. We called around 7:30pm since we knew they were closing at 8:00pm. We weren't super hungry so my SO and I ordered the Curry Noodles with chicken. Our friends ordered the Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles, both with tofu. Theirs looked better than ours did. I'm not sure if it was because it was so close to closing, but the Curry Noodles we had lacked vegetables. There were shreds of bamboo in it and some pieces of green peppers, but not much else. I remember eating a lot of noodle and a lot of chicken. I think it was seasoned well, but I was a bit disappointed we couldn't specify spiciness level because that's what I think was missing. read more

This new Asian kitchen is great! We tried it for the first time and were impressed. The restaurant is small and cozy. There are ample choices on the menu. I decided on the drunken noodles with beef. Yes!! Authentic and fantastic! If you have been driving to Mai's in Appleton for stuffed chicken wings and epic egg rolls, they are joined with super great Pad Thai and Squash Curry right here in Sturgeon Bay. Average meal price is about $9.00 a person, a little more if you go with a $1.50 fountain drink or $4.00 bubble tea. We are lucky to have such a fine Thai restaurant in Sturgeon Bay. Since well before opening a brick and mortar spot a year and a half ago, Dan's created an impressive following through the local Saturday farmers market. They opened already much-loved by locals. Be sure to try the egg rolls and stuffed chicken wings, the most popular market fare by far. Chicken egg rolls have a filling perfectly balanced in flavor with a nice nip of black pepper. The house made dipping sauce is a fine accompaniment. The chicken wings have the same egg roll filling, which also has a nice tangle of chewy rice noodles. Other appetizers (spring rolls, crab rangoon) are also worthy of your plate. For the time being, all orders are pickup only, paid for with your card upon ordering. No delivery, but pickup from the coffee table out front is small town living at its best. As you can tell, I'm a big Dan Fan. My knowledge of the entrees is kind of limited, however, because I'm struggling to order other than basil stir-fry with chicken!. In the interest of science, I have tried the fried rice (easily enough for 2), potato curry, squash curry, pad Thai, sweet chicken and, fighting to become my new favorite, cashew beef. Every item is made to order with great quality ingredients and great skill. The kitchen is impressively consistent, realistic (when they say 25 minutes, count on it), generous (12 egg rolls for $10?!) and clean. Entrees come loaded with a great balance of ingredients in tasty pan-finished sauces. Veggies are colorful, expertly cooked and always tasty. This was a pretty good lunch. We ordered a cashew dish and pad thai. With sides of crab rangoons and egg rolls. The cashew dish was pretty greasy but tasted very good. The pad thai was also very good, not as greasy. i think my favorite were the creamy crab rangoons. They need to hire more people! During peak times the person taking orders really shouldn't have to be running around grabbing stuff while 3-4 parties are waiting in line we watched many people walk out. The crab Rangoon was super amazing, the fried rice was pretty decent, the basil stir fry was very good, the curry noodles were ok, the egg rolls were pretty flavorless. We also got the Pho, which shouldn't have the fake crab in it, it get super mushy and just not good. If that wasn't in it it would be way better. Also the spring rolls have ham which we have never seen before and should not be in them. I really want to like this place since it's the only place like it outside of Green Bay around here, and for a new restaurant definitely worth going to but definitely needs improvement read more

Went there for the fist time today, not knowing what to expect, but we were so pleasantly surprised. The crab rangoons were crisp and their squash curry was delicious! I've had something like it before at another restaurant, but this version had the added bonus of mushrooms and bamboo shoots thrown in. I loved it. My husband liked the Basil Stir Fry as well. Many other things on the menu looked equally delicious, but we could only choose two things, so we definitely will be returning. Before we'd have to drive to Green Bay to get Thai food, but now that Dan's is here, we can get our fix right at home. We are very happy they're here! UPDATE: We went a few days later to get take out, and we waited 40 minutes for our food. People walked in, ordered food, received their food, and were eating while we were still sitting waiting for our takeout. The food was still delicious when we got it, but it was an extremely long wait. From now on we'll be more likely to sit down and eat because it took the same amount of time. read more
