Traveling from out of town, I was unfamiliar with dining establishments. The idea of California Greek sounded great. Ryan waited on me. He patiently listened and responded to questions I had about the menu. He was absolutely professional. I brought the food back to my hotel room and absolutely enjoyed this Mediterranean salad and chicken pits. Also contributing to the friendly atmosphere were the cook and a co-worker who rung up my order. If you live in Inglewood or find yourself traveling to the area, it's worth the stop. I used to enjoy going to Daphne's for delicious fresh food that wasn't too expensive (also definitely not cheap) but the standards have gotten lower and lower. I had Daphne's at this location recently and it was a pretty bad experience. The restaurant was dead inside , barely any help, although the lady who helped me was nice the food was not fresh and the baklava was horrible and soggy like it had been sitting in its own syrup for way too long. Overall I felt ripped off. I work hard for my money and this was not a fair trade. I will not be returning to this Daphne's again. read more

I walk in and everyone says hello and is extremely friendly. A cashier named Ryan is the best! He seems to remember everyone and their orders. I walk in and he always knows what I want before I do. Feels like home. The food is always good at a reasonable price, and healthier than fast food. This is where I buy my hummus to have at home. Ahh Daphne's....what a wonderful place to pay in excess of $10 for what could pass as beef jerky joyously served in toddler sized portions. I suppose if you're really craving Greek food and you can't find Gyros Flavored Friskies at Petsmart, this could be a decent alternative, otherwise save your money and go to a place that actually serves edible food in excess of 2 ounces! The quoted time is always 15-20 minutes (today it was 12 min). We enjoy Daphnes, it has been one of our favorite restaurants for about 15 years. The people at this location are always friendly and cheerful and they recognize us when we come in. The food is great and a good value. Kids eat free on Sunday is also a huge plus. Our son likes the chicken pita kids meal, and we like the gyro pita sandwich and the chicken pita sandwich. It was healthy at least. But the first time I ordered the baked lemon chicken meal I liked it a lot. But the second time I didn't taste enough lemon and it tasted kind of dry to me. I haven't had the gyros yet. But when I taste it I will write about it. But this isn't authentic Greek food. I liked the salad it was very tasty to me as well as the dressing they gave me. But I think they charge too much for their meals. Maybe because there isn't lots of Greek restaurants in the area perhaps. read more

I went to this location for a quick lunch and ordered a gyro plate with fries. I had almost finished eating my fries when I saw a fried roach on the plate. The staff tried to convince me that it was a shrimp tail, but a shrimp tail is not brown, oblong with antennae. The reason for the 3 stars is the recent inconsistency. The menu keeps changing, The pricing keeps changing. The restaurant itself is clean & the staff hustles and are very professional. All the menu changes make it nearly impossible to grab family dinner on the way home from work because what the kids liked last time is gone the next! Management has jacked up the prices, cut the quantity of food served in half, changed the type of rice and chicken that they'd serve and will not provide extra sauces or even a bag to carry take out. The employees say the change was made two weeks ago by corporate. I have been coming to Daphnes for ten years and we have always loved their food. I will never be back. Beware, because management has directed their employees to scrimp on the quantity of food served and clearly has no interest in customer service or satisfaction. At any other restaurant if I had raised the issue that the family feast used to serve four to six people and now barely serves two, the staff would have made it right and corrected it. Clearly Daphne's no longer cares about their customers and only their profits. This restaurant should be avoided at all costs. They do not deserve any of our money. Shame on you Daphne's for horrible customer service and misrepresenting the food on your menu. read more

Visited this location last week. Had the Cali-Greek Bowl combo with pesto hummus and fresh pita bread and tea tea, my own mix of their China Mist Watermelon infused tea and raspberry tea with lots of ice. My food was served at the perfect temperature, it was seasoned just right with a little spice to kick it up a notch. For me, it was the right amount of food and the prices are reasonable. The food here is very reasonably priced, delicious, and I love that each plate comes pita bread! I love getting the Cali-Greek Bowl. The staff is very helpful and kind- another favorite part of why I go there.
