The easiest and most painless apartment fix ever. We had some very dirty dryer vents (turns out) and when we had a repairmen come to fix something else on our washer/dryer he told us to get the vents cleaned as well - didn't tell us what company though. Thank God I found Dapper Ducts. They were able to get me on the schedule within a few days at the time that was convenient for my roommate and I. I have to say that this is how you do customer service. Yani was very responsive and friendly. His two colleagues arrived 15minutes early on Saturday and narrated the process of cleaning my ducts as they worked (my request). Unfortunately my dryer wasn't able to be serviced but I was promptly shown & explained why (I live in a condo and the configuration of the dryer made it impossible). I have been suffering from a horrible cough and wanted to rule out dust/mold from my HVAC unit. Turns out it wasn't bad but the gentleman did a great job of cleaning the visible debris. They also left my tiny condo clean and I appreciate that thoughtfulness. The pricing was fair and upfront and I would definitely recommend Dapper Ducts. Yani came out to my condo to do a dryer vent cleaning. While in my living room he noticed that my air filter cover was upside down, so he turned it around for me. I wasn't sure where my vents let out and it turns out they may be incorrectly installed. Yani spent half an hour looking for my vents--out the window, on the balcony, and up on the roof twice. Since we couldn't find the correct ones, he didn't charge me at all for the trip. I will definitely be calling him back once my condo assoc figures out the vent location. Yani and his crew came to my house, that I am renting as my landlord scheduled them to clean the ducts in preparation for my newborn daughter to come home in two weeks. They arrived at my home at around 10 am and began to work. I asked if there was a lot of dust that would result from the cleaning and he assured me there wasn't but I covered the bassinet and crib anyway. When my landlord got here he asked if they had additional drop cloths to cover the remaining furniture in the nursery as I used all the ones that I had, and Yani said it wasn't necessary. My landlord disagreed with him saying they should cover it regardless because a newborn baby would be in the house within two weeks! At that point Yani said he was done with the job and he and his crew left the house barely having begun cleaning the ducts. They left all of the vents uninstalled from the ducts, and left a hole that had been cut into the furnace vents uncovered so my furnace couldn't be turned on....in December. Yani's focus is clearly getting things done quickly, rather than safely and with cleanliness in mind. I would not recommend anyone using Dapper Ducts in the future. read more

They were efficient from the get go, I got a call back within the time-frame they mentioned on their voicemail. They arrived on time and were very courteous and professional. Yani called to confirm the appointment, and then again when he thought he'd have to push it back to a different time-- each time he was very pleasant. They showed up on time, were efficient, and weren't phased by the mess at the house or our dog's barking. I think they did a good job. There's no way to really know if they removed all the dust in the ducts. I do know that the after-care was not up to par. They left my place dusty. You would think that if they cleaned the dust from my ducts and dryer vent that they would leave my place in the same clean way that they left it, but they definitely didn't. Yanni and Mike were amazing. Initially I called because I heard birds in the attic which I thought were traveling through the air ducts. I told Yanni my concerns and he promptly when up to the attic to confirm that YES, there are birds in the attic but NO they had nothing to do with the ducts. He referred me to a handyman buddy of his to remove the birds and proceeded with cleaning the air ducts and removing the mold from the heat pump unit. Apparently the ducts had never been cleaned since construction in 1986 and there was tons of dust and debris inside the unit, ducts and vents. Yani was very pleasant and patient with my questions, and though I have no prior experience with this type of service to compare it to, I feel like he and his colleague did a fine job.
