We love Dave and Busters, this has become our regular place during our family nights out. We had an awesome waiter named Eddie. I would have given this review 5 stars due to the great service but there is an issue with a coupon I had. Being a member I had a coupon for a free burger less than $16.50 but thing is nothing on the burger menu is less than 17.99. Luckily the waiter was able to accommodate and adjust the difference just thought it was a small inconvenience for me and the waiter, why offer a coupon but have nothing that can be redeemed for that price? read more

We had a horrible experience at this location. We had reservations for 3:45, for 15 people. We were celebrating a 14 year old birthday. We were told that they could not seat us due to a game, and the restaurant was crowded. In order to get a table we had to settle for a smaller table for 6, and we were seated 2 hours late. We were told that as soon as the neighboring table left, we'd get that table for the rest of our party of 15. Our waitress told us that the real reason we did not all get seated was because another group of people self seated themselves at our other table (the table we were still waiting for). We asked to speak to the manager. Ryan came over, we told him that we about the group that had self seated themselves. Ryan did not ask the group to leave. He let them stay there, and even allowed them to be served. There were numerous parties that had been waiting to be seated, however, Ryan allowed those people to bypass the hours long wait. He did eventually get us a table, but he never stood up to the group, or ask them to leave. As a manager it is his job to back his employees, and make sure things run smoothly. Sometimes that means that you have to stand up to people that break the rules. What is the point of a reservation system if anyone can just self seat themselves, and STILL be served?! I should also mention that we had three autistic children that were forced to wait, and watch the whole debacle, causing one to meltdown. That is a horrible way to run a business. I understand that places get busy, but you should always honor your system. We were all very disappointed with our experience. Ryan needs to do better! read more

I Just got to visit this location, met up with coworkers this past Sunday. I was surprised how full and busy it was. I ordered two drinks and nachos at the bar, Brandon was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were good and so were the nachos, good amount to share. I got to play some games in the arcade area, brought back memories and I had a good time. It's a bit pricey though, they even have a fee just for the card( it should be free). read more

Bartender with the curly/fro hair is the worst, doesn't acknowledge customers and is drag feet slow. On a slower night step it up, you will likely get a good/descent tip (I tipped anyway just who I am) Games are good but lots were out of order (they are new so work out the bugs) I may be back but for now I'll stick with orange where I've been going since my early 20's where food/waiting service is night and day difference and bartenders are much higher skilled and fast/friendly even on a Friday/Saturday night. read more

This place is absolutely abysmal. Tried to grab a bite before the movie, asked to sit in the bar area (first come, first serve) and was completely ignored. Staff was too busy with their side conversations/ gossip to take our order. Waitress finally came over and said since she didn't see us with menus, she didn't come up to us. Hostess in front didn't give us menus and told us bar was open seating. Guess this is the reason I gave up Chuck E. Cheese when I was a kid. Yesterday I took my son and his friend to this Dave and Busters and while they were playing a game me of the boys stood up from the seat and had his 2 cards on the seat immediately some young kids grabbed the cards and ran the boys saw them and went to their mother and told the mom about what happened she defended her kids and did nothing about it so they went to the employees and were told nothing they could do I called a manager and he said same thing nothing they can do about it so apparently u can go there and steal a kids card and get away with it I posed that question to them and they said yes you can do that and nobody will do anything the should of offered a refund or a replacement card. Will never return to this location.. came in on Sunday for lunch. There were 9 of us celebrating a birthday. We put our name in for a table was told an hour and a 15 minutes. So we started playing games hour rolls by, no paging us. Hit the hour and a half mark and went to go ask how much longer for our table and was told" I dont know". She literally could not even give us any number of how much longer it was going to be. We are very aware that it was crowded because of the games. There were plenty of tables that could accommodate our larger party, but they were being occupied by 2 to 3 people that were literally just sitting there. Not ordering not drinking. I think you guys need to come up with a better way of seating your guests. Two hrs passed by and never heard from the front.. now to my second complaint.. most of the people that come here are trash.. I was waiting in line with my kids to cash out their winnings at the little store, and there was a group of boys younger than 10 that pushed through the glass container and stole something out of there, and I caught him doing this and I made him walk up to the front and talk to the lady. While I was doing that my husband, noticed there was a mother behind us and she was passing her son boxes of the toys and he was running out of the store and handing them to his dad!!! My kids have been waiting for this place to open since it was announced and our first trip was also our last. Went Saturday (10/15) afternoon for lunch and was immediately sat (party of 4). The restaurant and bar were about half full. Long story short, waited 10 minutes and not a single person checked on us. There were plenty of employees, but they all avoided eye contact as they went back and forth. One waitress who's attention we attempted to get as she went by, looked away as she passed our table and went around a different way on her return to the kitchen. Looking towards the kitchen area, I saw a small congregation of staff just having it. The menu said "order thru the app via the QR code on your table." No one could find said QR code and the the hostes (1 of 3) that sat us never mentioned or pointed out a QR code on the table. We see the same hostess walking back to the front and we manage to get her attention and inform her we've been there 1o minutes and no one has been by. I don't think she should apologize because it isn't her job after she's sat us, but an apology would have been nice as she works there. Instead, "oh no, let me get someone" I watched as she walked over to the front and informed a male staff. He looked over in our direction and quickly looked away as he saw I was watching. He walked around to a different aisle and walked back towards the kitchen area and disappeared. Another 2 minutes debating if we'd go to In and Out or Lucille's and I gathered my extremely disappointed kids and wife and left. I informed the same hostess as I walked by that no one went by our table after I had informed her that we'd waited 10 minutes. Again no apology but a, "they didn't?" and she glanced back towards the kitchen. As we exited, the greetter thanked us for coming and I said, "I know you guys just opened, but we waited 10 minutes without anyone checking on us and another 2 after informing the hostess.i hope things get better here." For comparison, the waiter at Lucille's stoppd at our table within a minute of us sitting to let us how he'd be helping us and would be right back to take our drink order. Long Beach Towne Center needs a revamp, this really helps, but could use more stores around. Anyway, we had a good experience from this place, 99% of the games are working minus some maintenance. This Dave and busters was cool for the most part. I found their self dispensing beer section had major problems. The spout came out all foam yet we were charged as if we had a full beer when it was all foam. This happened with multiple different beers multiple times. The place looks clean and big. Lots of games to play. The restaurant has a super long weight at 4:00pm on Saturday so we ended up eating Roadhouse Grill right there in the same parking lot. I seen a couple iffy people if you ask me so not too positive I'll be back, but we just might. I can say that some of the staff were drinks all, but the guy taking names at the entrance of the restaurant. He needs done retraining on customer service. I love dave and busters. Great music, fun games but my god the food is foul. Buster would he flipping in his grave if he knew this food was being served. Every time I've eaten here I've had to send my food back multiple times. I quite literally thought Ashton Kutcher was gonna pop out and tell me i was being pranked. Id rather eat at my five year old sister's play kitchen and she usually gives me plastic fruit and dirt water. I just dont understand why everything is so stale and cold. Went on a Friday at 4:30 long before the evening crowd. Had at least six people at the hostess table but had a cue of no less than two parties. They had a bunch of tables open which was nice, but our service and refills took forever, which is why I'm writing this review. To the management, please be on top of your employees. Great place for a date night. Restaurant has been done well, sports bar theme nicer than what you'd expect. Games are actually reasonably priced. Downloaded the app and put $60 on it which lasted two of us well over an hour. If you get the app, you'll get a promo after playing a couple games for $15 in bonus points when you buy $15. For $75 we played games for two solid hours. Nice redemption prizes, was surprised what we got for the points. read more

Wednesday night, 6:15 reservation for 4. Dining area half full. Abysmal service- Waited 15 minutes for server to introduce self/take order. Wasn't served until 50 min after we'd been seated and even then my second child had to wait five minutes longer for his sad kid's cheeseburger with a stale, squashed bun. We couldn't eat our food upon its arrival because they never gave us silverware or napkins. Food- Food was cold, below mediocre, salty, salad overdressed. Steak salad had decent steak on greens overdressed to point of wilt. My chicken parmigiana was soggy, on a bed of congealed cream fettuccine. Kids burgers were squashed with fries on appetizer plates without any garnish or even room for ketchup. Bad business practices - No prices on drinks menu - so we didn't order drinks, thankfully lowering what we might've otherwise paid. No itemized bill, just handed a device with total bill suggesting we tip 18-25%. No calorie totals on menu, which I wonder is against CA law. Our high table was marked as appropriate for people with disabilities, but it wouldn't be accessible to someone in a wheelchair at all. Management- I informed manager of the poor service and he said "awww" and shrugged his shoulders, offered nothing. Maybe they don't care because they are making a ton of money from their overpriced food and crowds. Ambience - super loud. We couldn't converse as a family while waiting an hour for our food. I feel like I can't hear well today. Games area is mostly fun but people leave their drinks lying around. The food experience was terrible, the games were okay. I never want to go back. It's disappointing to see a restaurant be so lazy at the same time as they prompt you for an automatic tip. Ew. Please don't let this be the future of dining. read more

The customer service from the games side of things is terrible. You can really tell the people in this department despise their job and don't want to be there. They won't let you use gift cards on 1/2 price Wednesdays. Not a corporate rule but just a rule at this location apparently. We came on a weeknight so it wasn't too crowded. It's a little smaller than other D&Bs I've been to, but we still had fun playing the games. I've knocked off two stars: one because they don't have skee ball (what kind of arcade doesn't have skee ball?!?) and another one because the cocktails were terrible. We ordered 3 cocktails between the two of us and each of them was very watered down and tasteless. Such a rip off. I know it's a family friendly place and they don't want to make the drinks super strong, but it is possible to make light cocktails taste good. Waiters/waitresses are constantly waking around waiting to help whoever needs it. they're not strict to their table which is nice you can just call the closest person.
