We had an extremely disappointing experience at Dave & Buster's last night (Feb. 28- 630pm) My 4 year old daughter has been sick for a while, and this was our first little family outing in some time. We arrived around 6pm and were told the wait for a table would be 45 minutes, which was completely fine. We got a text 15 minutes later saying our table was ready. Now I understand why. We were seated in the middle section next to a large party and were completely ignored. No utensils. No drinks. No server. Two other families seated near us also waited and eventually left without ever being acknowledged. After about 25 minutes, I noticed a family seated in a nearby booth get greeted and served within 5 minutes. I had to go up to the hostess to ask what was going on. It was clear the staff was confused about who was assigned to our table. When we finally ordered, drinks came out slowly and one didn't arrive until almost when the food did. The food itself was cold and missing a side. We still didn't have utensils at that point. We had to flag someone down again about the missing item, and by then we just wanted to leave. We were told the fries couldn't be removed from the bill even though we never received them. The most frustrating part was seeing multiple servers standing around because it "wasn't their section," while three tables were neglected. This was supposed to be a special night out for our daughter after being sick, and it turned into the worst dining experience we've had in a long time. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

The good: This is a large facility with separate areas. Entrances from the parking lot and from inside the Ontario mills mall. Pool tables and shuffle boards. Private party areas and bar area. Dining area has the larger screens with booth and table seating. Arcade playground is where all the mayhem is happening. Dove in head first with the games and had a great time. The food was satisfactory. Service was also satisfactory took a while. The bad: Cleanliness of facilities is questionable. Bathrooms need a major overhaul! The manager needs to implement hourly checks that are actually enforced. For guys maybe not as bad but if you're a woman no bueno. Several stalls were unsuitable for use. I would avoid having to go into these facilities. Trashes in several areas were overflowing. This needs some thorough attention. Pool table pockets need some repairs. Kept falling out. Overall this place needs some restructure and improved maintenance. But if you're just looking for some games to play and don't have to go to the bathroom you'll have a great time. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but the experience we had with the hostess Ebony at Dave & Buster's was disappointing enough that I felt the need to say something. Customer service starts the moment guests walk through the door, and unfortunately her attitude immediately made us feel unwelcome. From our brief interaction, she came across as irritated, unhappy, and almost bothered that customers were there trying to enjoy themselves. It gave off a "how dare you come in here and have fun while I'm working" type of vibe. I understand everyone has bad days, but when you're the first person customers interact with, attitude matters. A hostess sets the tone for the entire experience, and having someone with that kind of energy at the front does not represent the Dave & Buster's brand well at all. Thankfully, our waitress Lissette completely turned the night around. She was friendly, attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure we still had a great time. Because of her, we'll actually be returning to this location. She deserves recognition for the way she handled our table and completely saved the experience. Dave & Buster's really needs to do a better job with employee placement and customer facing positions. First impressions matter. read more

We have only been to this location once. Not our choice and not our event. My review is for a group party, 2 birthdays at once (father/son). Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly hostess and she led us back to the party room (it was a surprise party). After that, the rest was down hill. Super slow bar service, although friendly The one hosting the party chose a nacho/taco bar. This was HORRIFIC!! Dry meats, funky flavored guacamole and chips, weird set-up (I mean, put the chips before the "nacho" toppings, not in between) Not one person that I talked to at this party liked their food and were outright complaining to each other. Very sad. Maybe they are better known for other items? Either way, this was the worst food I've ever had at a party. The room we had reserved for us was pretty cool. Nice room for a party and discreet enough to be hidden for surprising our guests of honor. The tables we all sat around for dinner were actually pool tables with tablecloths over them. It worked! One other huge complaint..... only one bathroom though? Maybe one other would be good, having one on each side of the place. But at least there are plenty of stalls in the one bathroom. Absolutely terrible service. Mixed drinks are so sweet they taste like a slurpy. Our waiter Jonah (I think) was doing his best but given the circumstances, it was out of his control. We ordered 4 different drinks and each time it took the bartenders 15 minutes to tell us they didn't have the basics to fill the order. We even ordered a seltzer and were told 15 minutes later that the flavor we wanted was out. It was my wife's birthday so I did not want to make a scene. I went to the front and asked for a manager. Christina came out and to my surprise, knew everything that was going on. Do you think that once she was made aware she ever came to our table? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Instead, she made it a me problem. She said "I wish you would have told me the first 20 minutes you were here so I could have resolved it, that's what we're here for" I was shocked at her response. She also let me know that she knew we were having a bad experience and that I should have asked for a manager a long time ago. Something is wrong here, a manager has complete knowledge of your situation, yet never utilized the managerial skills she's been trained with to address an issue. I explained that we just aren't the type of family to call the manager and complain. She responded "well you should be" Turning the service issues your company has into the customer's problem/fault is totally unacceptable. Not even coming to the table and attempting to rectify the situation is even worse. This is a conversation that will definitely make its way up the corporate ladder. We won coupons to get $20 off a $20 card. The girl at the front refused to even look at it saying she won't accept a coupon on Wednesday due to an ongoing promotion. I insisted she read it and she tells me she cant accept it because it cannot be combined with another offer. I'm not trying to combine it, I just want to redeem what I won. She still refused to allow us to redeem our coupon because they were running a promotion. She was totally unwilling to work with me, smirking while I spoke with her. So the coupons I won and have been holding on to are essentially trash? Since we had our kids with us, my husband decided we'd still play games and have dinner. A lot of games seemed to be out of order, including high-profile games like the Human Crane. Kinda like when the McDonald's ice cream machine is broken bc the employees don't want to be bothered? I guess 1/2 price games don't apply to everything. Just slap a sign on it and call it a day. We couldn't even eat here because there were no kid friendly- allergen free meals for my son. Something worth noting, when people approach you for help, they aren't asking you to direct them to a kiosk. They want face to face service. Maybe spend time assisting the customers in a pleasant way when they come to you for guidance or the automated system you insist on customers using will replace your job one day. Big Al's has a gluten free pizza and we've never had an issue with them following allergy protocols. I've never had an issue redeeming deals at Big Al's which is up the street and where I'll continue to go. I think everyone knows what D&B is so this review is based on the very kind bartender who gave top notch service! This D&B is located inside the mall. You can access it from in the mall or outside if you prefer not to go into the actual mall. It is just as large as others I have been to. We popped in for a quick drink and sat at the bar in the middle of the gaming area. It had just opened and the bartender was still setting up but made sure to say hi, let us know to just yell at him anytime and served our drinks super quick! Their flavored margaritas are a huge hit. I would recommend having them add one more shot of tequila in it to break down the sweetness. Not too many people there at the time we were there. Extremely disappointed with our experience at Dave & Buster's Ontario. We are locals and gave this place a shot! During our visit, our phone went missing inside the venue for about two minutes. We tracked it using location services, and it was actively pinging inside the kitchen area. When we notified staff and management, they were dismissive and unhelpful, offering no real assistance or accountability. The situation was stressful and completely unacceptable. A business should take potential theft seriously. Especially when evidence points to an employee-only area. Instead, we were treated like it wasn't their problem. After numerous attempts a staff member finally grabbed a phone from his possession and it was ours. He knew we were not backing down. We left feeling frustrated, disrespected, and unsafe. Jordan took our order, made a recommendation on how to get more bang for your buck (with the game card purchase) and checked in on us during the course of our meal. Why have a DJ with a horrible sound system cranked to the max anyways? The drinks were a huge letdown too-- poorly mixed, and inconsistent from bartender to bartender. To make things even stranger, there were women walking around in revealing clothing offering Jell-O shots like it's a nightclub. The only thing missing was bottle service and go-go dancers! It felt totally out of place for what should be a fun, family-friendly environment. If you're looking for a better experience, I highly recommend heading to the newly renovated Dave & Buster's in Orange (The Block). I just want to give a big shout out to Sergio the technician for Dave & Buster's in Ontario!!! I was playing a claw game in the game malfunctioned and dropped all the prizes that I won. I reported the problem management and they sent the technician Sergio to check out the game. They don't have cameras pointing into the game I was at so they could easily said I was lying and not give me my tickets back. Sergio went out of his way to make sure the game was working fine and to make sure that I got my tickets back.!!! If anything come for the games but never the food unless you want cold, gross, and piss poor presentation. On top of that our server took FOREVER to check on us. I had my baby shower at the event space here and it was amazing. The crew was super attentive, my family had a great time, and the food was decent considering we had only appetizers. There was significantly more food than necessary for the amount of people we had which was great because I was concerned there wouldn't be enough. The event space is lovely and private, and I would definitely book another event here. We returned a few days later to use the left over game cards and I had a mountain of nachos which was also pretty good, a lot of nachos for the money, but I preferred the nachos that were previously on a tray as they didn't get cold as fast. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had a restaurant ever. We had a 6pm reservation. Got sat at 5:55. NO one came to our table and I had to grab the attention of someone who I thought was a manager after 25 minutes of waiting. I explained we hadn't been greeted yet. We order our food (kids pizza (9.99) kids Mac and cheese (8.49) and an adult game play card meal for 22.99)... because we waited so long just for our waters, my kids got antsy and we needed to leave. I wanted my fish and chips meal boxed up because I couldn't finish it or enjoy it. We waited 30 minutes for someone and no one came again. We had to fetch down the same manager looking guy we spoke to earlier. I took my baby to the car while my husband waited for the box and check. I was in the car about 10 minutes while he was still waiting and he came back saying the buster took my plate of food and threw it away! Absolutely ridiculous. They said they ended up taking the fish and chips off our tab which I think still paying $38 for us to not enjoy our food at all and getting it thrown away on top of not one single person in the place addressing our existence was insane. We have been to the Orange location many times and this weekend was the first time coming to this location in Ontario since moving to Corona. We came in for my birthday today and asked for seating for 6 in the "restaurant" area. The hostess told us it would be about 25 minutes and we said ok. It took over 45 minutes with plenty of open tables, we got called up to be seated. As we waited behind the next people asking for a table, she told them 25 minutes as well. She took us to the bar/game area and said that that's where we'll be seated. I told her I did not ask to be seated at the bar play area. I got a rude response that that's the only place they have to sit us unless we wanted to wait much much longer. I told her this is not where we wanted to sit because it was very loud in there and it was at the very edge outside the bar area as kids are running around. We ended up taking the table and when the waitress took our order, I had to pay up front because we're at the bar. I told her why did have to give her my card now and she said I had too because we were seated by the bar. She asked me if I wanted to talk to the manager which I did, and she told me that I had to leave a card no matter what, that was policy. When I asked her that we didnt wantt o be seated there and that the hostess was rude to us, she said that there's a different manager for the front and there was nothing she can do about it. We had to yell at each other just to talk and was very loud in here. As we were waiting to make our drink orders, there was another family that got brought out there to be seated and was arguing with the same hostess about not wanting to be seated there. They ended up leaving the place. The food was kind of ok and my wife's chicken came burnt. We didn't get offered any condiments for our frys or steak and had to grab a bottle of ketchup from another table. I didn't not even get offered anything for the inconvenience or even a free dessert (even thought I ordered one and paid for it).
