I called and explained what was needed, I had new parts for a broken laptop and was quoted $140 for…read morethe repair, and it was estimated the repair would take a few days, a week at most. I brought in the computer and parts, the intake was quick and professionally done. So far, so good. I received a call that my laptop was ready for pickup less than a week later. When I arrived, I was told that I didn't have all the parts needed to repair it correctly. The laptop functioned, but the hinges didn't attach correctly and were rubbing against the motherboard. If I kept the laptop open it would be fine, but if I repeatedly opened and closed it, it could break. But isn't that the purpose of a laptop, it's supposed to be portable, it's not a desktop. The technician was under the impression I was in a rush, so there was a little miscommunication, that said, a call only takes a few minutes to let a customer know there is an issue. So I do appreciate that the technician was polite, that the repair labor estimate was correct, and that it was ready within the window provided. However, it doesn't work correctly and since I didn't get a call during the repair process, letting me know additional parts were needed to do the job correctly, I couldn't make an informed decision. It was neither the best of times or the worst of times. Will I return? I'd probably check out another place first.

I take no pleasure in criticizing a small business but here is what happened. In the past I brought two laptops to be serviced by Steve. He brought them up to speed and seemed like a stand up guy with his service. Stood behind his work. In June of this year 2023 one of my laptops would not power up. I left it with him over a long weekend to fix. When I picked it up he told me it seemed like a problem with the power button. He released the laptop to me and said to leave it in sleep mode rather than shutting it down. He told me for him to get a new power button would take some time. He would let me know when he would get one. I called him 4-5 weeks later to inquire how things looked. I was in no way irate rude, snide harsh at all . I trusted him and just called to follow up. He told me there no progress yet. I followed up with another call this week. Note: this is going on months later. He answered and told me he would call me right back. I ran a few errands and gave him a call. The call disconnected. I called back and the call would not go through. I thought my phone was the problem so I then used my wifes phone. Steve answered and before I could finish what I was saying I got a a busy signal. He HUNG UP on me both times and blocked my number is what happened. Ghosted. I wasn't rude demanding harsh accusatory or anything. If you can make it to the person working the cash register near the exit scale they are very courteous and good communicators. But be forewarned, you get what you pay for. Entire parking lot - if you can call it that - is all filled with massive sink holes that fill with water in the rain and turn the entire area into a muddy no-man's land. Workers directing traffic are extremely disorganized, often yelling at me in Spanish and giving awkward hand gestures. I'm pretty sure one of them was expecting me to drive my rented Uhaul over a pile of loose garbage, which was littered everywhere by the way. Not to mention they always try to stop me when I'm leaving to tell me to go back to the weigh scale and I have to show them my receipt.
