Dave's is growing quick, wasn't it last summer they opened their first location in Dallas and people were queuing hours for the chicken!! Now they have multiple locations across DFW and now Arlington got one! We checked it out for dinner today, just as good as other Dave's we've been to in the area. The sliders are where it's at, use the honey they give you too! Great sized tenders, love the buns, lots of pickles. I opt for the cheese fries which remind me of Shake Shack though I think it's a $1.50 to upgrade to cheese fries - which tbh is waay too much. That's the biggest thing I don't like about Dave's - is the prices - it is too expensive. Especially when we have home grown Ricky's down the street for cheaper - Dave's you've got some competition!! Set us back $33.xx for 2 orders of sliders, no drinks - drinks should be included in the price! Also the restaurant was hot, AC wasn't blasting as it should be in the TX summer! read more

Dave's Hot Chicken just opened around the corner from me about a month ago and I couldn't wait to see what all of the excitement was about. The first few weeks was really busy. Cars lined Cooper St trying to place their order in drive thru. On top of that the restaurant appeared packed on the inside. I decided to wait until the fanfare died down and today was the perfect day. On my way home from work I placed a order for the 2 chicken strip meal. It came with fries, pickles, 2 slices of bread, and some dipping sauce. The price was $11.99 and it didn't come with a drink. I ordered two chicken strip dinners which totaled over $25 after tax. I ordered the mild and everything was packed perfectly. There are several reasons for my 3 star rating. Number 1 is due to the salt level of the Mild flavor. There is too much salt that becomes overbearing midway through the first tender. Number 2, the price. $25 is entirely too much money for 4 mid sized tenders, white bread, and pickles. I actually discarded the bread because there was no need for it. Maybe a roll would be better served. And last Number 3, no drink included with the price. This is entirely too expensive for a 2 tender dinner with fries. Over all I am glad I had tried DHC and I might come back and try the sandwich but the tenders are a no go for me. read more

This was our first trip to Dave's and we're excited this is a close location. The dry spices are yummy, the chicken is thick, and who don't love pickles. Went here today. The service was fast and easy. The workers were nice and recommended what I should order because this was my first time here. The tables were clean and right off interstate 20. This place is ideal for anyone commuting in the area. The food was very good! The dave's sauce made the chicken had more flavor and the french fries were full of seasoning and were amazing. #4 Hot No Pickles (I hate pickles, not sorry) w/ cheese Drive Thru; Took less than 5 minutes during the lunch hour. The tender slider was a decent spiciness but my nose wasn't running. And I like really spicy food so maybe I'll go up a level next time. I believe the bun, the slaw, and the cheese helped dim the spicy down. I think I will nix the cheese next time. The toasted bun held up well and didn't disintegrate or get soggy. It was a nice soft bun, but I think a tougher bun would work better. I liked the sauce w/ the fries. I ate nearly most of the slider before I realized I hadn't tried the sauce w/ the slider. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, I wasn't still hungry after eating it, and it was a great alternative to other spicy chicken sandwiches. Believe me, I have tried them ALL. The slider came with Cole slaw and pickles with their signature Dave's sauce. The coleslaw was good a little more on the sweet side. If you get the #5 that isn't on the menu it comes with a chicken strip that's fairly decent size with fries if you aren't that hungry. The food came with their Dave's sauce, honey , and ketchup. We ordered our chicken mild and they specified it on the receipt and labels on the chicken packaging but mild wasn't normal at all.
