Not a bad sandwich but the chicken could definitely use some more flavor. Maybe marinate it I don't know. I got the spiciest level they had and it wasn't spicy at all. First Time at this location and I was impressed. I have been to the original location in Dallas, and I actually liked this one even more. My wife got the tenders, and Me and the kids got the sliders. My daughter got the Reaper, but Extra Hot was all I could handle. The Chocolate shake came in Clutch. Loved the Fries as well. I also got the Mac and Cheese, which I really enjoyed. Fast. Hot. Fresh. I ordered the 2 piece tenders and fries with the Hot spice level. It's like a hot that you can enjoy because I definitely wasn't purchasing a drink to go with my $12.00 meal. My mouth has a small tingle after my little mouse moment of eating in the parking lot. It is pricey for 2 tenders but I get it. This place is way too expensive for what you get. A regular combo and a drink will set you back $17. The chicken is good and spicy, but it is nowhere near SEVENTEEN DOLLARS good. On top of that, they do not offer large drinks, just small and regular. How are you going to offer spicy chicken and no large drinks. I just went here tonight and ate my food in the car like a dirty little gremlin...... It was good!!! I got the mild level of spice for the combo, with the tender and the sandwich. Food was super hot (in temperature not spicy level) and fresh. I tried Luckys hot chicken the other day and then Dave's today so I could compare them. Dave's breading for the chicken was a lot thicker than Luckys which I preferred. Got a nice crunch with each bite. I probably could have gone up a spice level but the mild was plenty flavorful and wasn't overly salty- like a lot of other places hot chicken can be. It didn't really taste "Nashville" style, I'm not sure if it's meant to be I guess, but the seasoning wasn't the paprika heavy Nashville style. The slaw had a really good flavor and was fresh and the cabbage had some bite to it, wasn't soggy. Fries were standard crinkle cut but cooked well and crispy. I'm very curious what the Dave's sauce is. It's obviously mayo based but to be honest it just tasted like mayo, I couldn't tell if it had ketchup added to give it the pink color or what. I liked it alright but if you're not a fan of mayo you will not like it. My combo plus a drink came out to $16 something dollars. All of these fast casual kind of places have raised their prices so this didn't give me sticker shock and I thought it was a decent amount of food for the price and found it to be in line with similar food establishments.
