Oh man. I'm so happy Dave's is here in Houston. About damn time hehe. So I had Dave's when I went to LA, and honestly it was the best thing ever. I raved about it to everyone I knew. Fast forward- houston started opening up so many hot chicken spots. It is so over done at this point- some good and some just mediocre. Now Dave's- let me tell you about my man Dave. He is amazing. Went here this past weekend, and wow. I'm soooo happy!!!! Really fast service, honestly reminded me of Chick-fil-A with the way they are so fast and efficient. They have a drive thru as well FYI!!!! We ordered the combo 1 and combo 2. Number 1 is two sliders with fries, and 2 is one slider and one chicken tender. I went with the medium spice level which kind of threw me off. It really wasn't spicy at all. I was looking for more of a kick. But, it was still delicious so I can't complain. I will definitely be returning!!! read more

Came here for a late night snack. I'm glad they open late because food options are limited. First time here and I didn't have high expectations just cause I'm bias towards another hot chicken place..well, I was blown away! The service was great and friendly and the food was better than I expected! Got #3. The medium spice is exactly what I asked for with a good amount of seasoning. The outside batter was very crunchy and the chicken was oh so moist. They were cooked perfectly. This place has an edge up on the other chicken place because they don't charge me for extra pickles ha. My friend has been ranting and raving about this place. He is a guy, so you know they pretty much be eating whatever and thinking that it is good(joke). I piggybacked and got the same meal. I wasn't sure about the spice so I got mild. I usually do medium, but I wanted to be on the safe side. I had to add cheese because I had totally forgotten. We got back to the house to eat. I fixed up my slider with the slaw, pickles, and added some more of their sauce. I bit into it and was pretty amazed. The tender was juicy and the ingredients made a big difference. I really enjoyed eating the slider. I will get medium next time for sure though. Went through drive thru at 8pm Saturday. I ordered a #3 meal (chicken tenders & sliders with fries) medium spicy and a side of extra fries. We had to park & wait for our order. After 10 minutes The guy eventually brought out the fries. He forgot my #3 so he went back to get it. I waited a few more minutes and got that. My first time trying Dave's at this location was excellent. Employees were welcoming and friendly. I loved it so much that I had to come back a second time a year later. I was disappointed with this time around with the service that was provided. The staff was definitely not friendly and considerate. Waited on my food for @25 min and it still didn't come out. Luckily, I went to the counter and asked why it was taking so long because a few other people that ordered after I did had already received their food. I was told that they had to wait another 10 min until it would be ready. I enjoyed myself & meal. The menu has three entrees to choose from. In my opinion, when you only offer three options you should do them well. I would like to say I believe they did a FANTASTIC job at all three options. Our chicken was seasoned very well. Try the heat index at your own risk . I might think that "HOT" may not really be hot and you may disagree so I won't comment on the heat index itself. The atmosphere is light and playful. There's graffiti on the walls with funny sayings. It's somewhere you go to just relax, chill, and eat. The reason I rated them four stars is because they are UBER expensive for chicken, in my opinion. I also strongly dislike their seating arrangement. The chairs that they offer are very small. I think it's very awkward to have my thighs above my waistline when I have to sit down. I have been to a couple DHC and this one is by far the worst. I placed an online order and arrived 3 minutes before the ready time. I opened my cauliflower sandwich and it was sitting in a pool of oil. The cauliflower itself was double the size of the bun. It dripped so much oil that the bottom bread was complete mush. I tried to take a bite but the bread soaked up so much oil it was disgusting. The best part of the meal was the cheese fries. For 1.50 extra for cheese I would appreciate more cheese as the cheese was so minimal most of my fries didn't have any cheese just the few at the top. I asked my husband how his chicken sandwich was expecting they just haven't mastered the cauliflower but he had the same complaint. His box had a pool of oil. The kids were able to eat their fries and flavorless Mac n cheese and be ok. For one cauliflower sandwhich, 3 chicken, 3 cheese fries, 3 sodas it was almost $70! I would skip this place. read more

If you are going to pay $12 for two chicken strips, the order should be correct. Some orders were missing sauce and cutlery that was requested. Today, Spartacus, the manager, took ownership, after I expressed my displeasure with what happened last night with my order.
