Not everything is priced cheaply, but they run some mean sales during the week. Many times I'll come here for a bunch of items and then supplement somewhere else. Other times, everything I need is reasonably priced. What i love about this place, though, is the fact that it carries a lot of local products. Awesome products and nice staff. Great produce and prepared foods selection. The pizza is good. In the deli they have a roasted turkey breast that they slice. It's a must try. Their chicken salad is way better than willow tree (it not sweet and it's always fresh). My husband is addicted to their breaded eggplant. We buy it every week. (Saves us lots of time). I do not typically buy dog food from the supermarket but Dave's has a pet specialty selection they carry the brands we feed so when I am in need of food and the pet stores aren't open I know we can get it from Dave's. They have different items than stop and shop and Shaw's. Without being too exclusive like whole foods. The worst thing about this location is the plaza. There is only one way in and one way out. But the good news for us is they have a smaller location across from stop and shop that has almost everything that go to Dave's exclusively for. read more

This is a great place to come and shop, almost every week they have a deal on steak! Gotta love those steak dinners only costing 8 bucks =). I honestly would not mind living out the rest of my life here, the deli is clean the steak is tender and the staff is helpful. Like any Dave's markeplace's the aisles are a bit cramped so grab at tiny cart. They have free coffee!!!! Don't forget to grab yourself a cup! Compared to your local Shaw's or s&s this is worth driving to. They butcher is in house, the deli tends to have (my favorite!) ham for 3 bucks a pound and you always get a smile from the workers! I will continue to shop here because I get much better service, a much better experience and a much better price then my "other" local market down then street. Where else can you ask the guy in the produce section where are the jalepino's and he yells "Hey, where are the peppa's?" and points you in the right direction? Seriously worth the drive! Oh! I would highly recommend, during non peak hours. I remember when they were going to build this plaza people were very worried about the traffic, and they turned out to be very very right. Other then that Dave's is a great place to shop. They have a lot more pre-made options the other grocery stores. The pizza, and sandwiches I've tried have been really good. read more

Normally don't leave reviews even bad ones . Women at hot foods counter around 6:30-7 ignored me n didn't take my order I stood in front of her and called her name 5x . Not happy at all after going to the smaller Dave's Store in Smithfield. Went there to pick up a few sale items and the store was out of 2 of the three items I wanted to purchase. That is not what what upset me ,I completely understand their stores run out of sale products but I asked if they would be willing to substitute the sliced mushrooms for the whole . The mushrooms were from the same vendor and same weight but they were a dollar more WHATS THE BIG DEAL!!! I leave that Dave's and go to their bigger store and the same sliced mushrooms are the same price as the whole ones on sale @2 for $4.00. At the smaller store. Not to mention the produce guy who customer service sent to me was not very friendly. read more

I used to be a regular in this store but I noticed the prepared sandwiches did not taste that good happen on several occasions. Manager on duty did not care what I had to say- For the prices you charge customer service should be better it failed here. When the new market basket opens up I will be taking all of my business there. read more

Really nice grocery store with great produce selection. Lots of hard to find items. I wish the seafood area had more variety, typically just salmon, tuna, cod, same old same old. Pizzas are pretty good too. Better atmosphere then my local chain market. read more

I been going to this market for over 20 years. Last time I was there was this past Sunday. When I arrived there I noticed there were a lot of people going in and out. I stayed in my car for a few minutes because I saw a lot of people with no mask. Anyways I needed some meat so I went in. I was wearing my mask and few other people were too. But what was shocking to me was, when I got to the register the young girl at the register was not wearing any protection, no mask , no gloves. What's going on with management in this store, with the Corona virus you would thing that these poor workers putting their lives at risk would be protected to protect themselves and the customer, WOW I was shock. Until they do something I will not go back there and give them my business. Horrible! read more

I'm a very timid shopper, but i adore going food shopping now. Dave's really is just an enjoyable experience. Their amount of prepared food really lends itself to helping the lazy of the world. I'm in love with their cheese nook, and generally spend 10-15 mins in there before picking out something to take home. I appreciate that they stock local Narragansett Creamery products as well! Some of their prices are higher, but there are deals to be had, just have to know where to look. Its the same at any grocer, i feel. Their checkout employees are also some of the most affable people coming our of supermarkets. Parking can be kind of hectic, and i always seem to leave with more stuff than i could possibly need. read more

It is Dave's what is not to love. Good prices, great prepared foods, fantastic bakery, and meat department.

This place blows Stop and Shop out of the water in terms of customer service, atmosphere, and variety. I actually don't mind coming here for groceries, and I usually dread a trip to stop and shop! The prepared foods section and the bakery are real standouts. My favorites include the turkey panini, any of the pizzas, and the red velvet muffin. You can order the pizza by the slice or call ahead for a full one (menu on their website). The only downside to shopping here is that sometimes they don't stock exactly the brand/flavor if whatever you're looking for, because the store is smaller than a chain, but a good substitute can usually be found. If they would start up a pickup service I would shop here all the time! read more

I'm actually surprised about the comments made about the prices for Dave's... 4 Lemons for $5? You are kidding me right? Every time I go there, they are 3 for $2 unless they are on sale, and I'm there once a week.... Anyways, there are a few produce items I can think of that are a little expensive, but for the most part, they are very reasonable. Even if they are a tad more expensive than S&S or Shaws, they are a boatload fresher so it is worth it. Seafood... Well, lets just say they have Chilean Sea Bass for $14.99/lb. Whole Food's think they are cute and charge $23.99. Yep. I spent most of my time there with the meats (lol) and for the most part, definitely good steaks but a tad expensive. NY Strip is $16.99/lb, a dollar more for the Ribeye, and a dollar more for Filet. Not a bad price for the Filet, however Whole Foods NY strip is $13.99/lb, or $19.99 for dry aged. I will however be picking up a caveman cut bone-in ribeye for tonight... 3lb for $13.99/lb, not bad at all. India Kitchen bacon that they have there... blows away any other bacon at any other market (except for Black Forest and Wellshire) The guys in the fish department... they are my BOYS... seriously they are awesome. Most of the people that work there are pretty helpful, cashiers for the most part are nice, a couple i know from being in there so often, so i have nothing bad to say about the staff. read more

There's a pizza bar, cold food bar with salad stuff, a hot food bar with lots of chicken choices, and an olive bar. There were so many pre-made food items to buy for quick dinners. SO MANY CHOICES in the prepared food section of Dave's. I'm making my rounds, but so far I can confirm that the sushi is good, pizza is good, salad bar is good. This place has great prepared food, I even like their sushi selection. This particular store has a friendly and helpful staff. This site is clean and lines are quick. The biggest downfall is the parking! The traffic in the lot, and congested parking lot are the only crutches to this location. read more

This is my favorite grocery store chain and my favorite location of all the Dave's. I am enticed by the free coffee, and love spending time checking out the unique goodies they have throughout the store. The produce is fresh! It's October and they still have crisp and sweet watermelon! The way the store is arranged is beautiful as well. Maybe I should just own stock for Dave's because my staff and I are in there pretty much everyday. Love all their prepared foods and they have such an inviting, easy going shopping experience. I love their selection and their deals are awesome!!! My favorite prepared food is the pizza, they mix up the flavors and aren't afraid to experiment, my close second is the sushi followed by their paninis. Stephanie beat me to this. Dave's is a great supermarket with a great pre-made food section. This is a place to go to lunch on a daily basis.You can get something different every day. Even sushi that is very good and can be made to order. The supermarket also has an extensive Gluten free section. There is a freezer devoted to the Gluten free products in the back of the store. Great seafood section and meat section. They have some expensive cuts of meat and fish that are very tasty when prepared properly. Meat department will cut up any meats for you and repackage them at no additional cost. The deli section has Boar's Head brand meats. And they have a very large and extensive cheese section. Free coffee is located just behind the deli. Feel free to make yourself a cup while shopping. I always shop here and they don't require any stupid cards or memberships to get deals. Just bring it to the register and it will be taken off. So happy and this is one of the things that keeps me from Shaw's and Stop and Shop! read more

I'm just an enormous fan of Dave's, period. Back in the day, I lived near the Hoxie location in Warwick and always enjoyed the prices, service, quality, and independent feel of the operation. The company and locations have gotten larger, but the home town feel of the place remains the same. I do love Whole Foods for certain things, but as an everyday market, Dave's is the bomb. read more

Worst customer service ever. Employees don't listen; manager tells them to correct their mistake and they make excuses why they "can't". Manager allows them to get away with it. If you don't have to interact with the employees, it's acceptable. If you do, it's a nightmare. Poor parking, difficult to get in and out of the place. Will not be back. read more
