Vision Loft contacted me immediately and when one appointment was booked before I could respond, I was notified immediately with other options. The correspondence was swift, professional, and efficient. On the day of my appointment I was greeted very enthusiastically and Dr. Chen is just the funniest! I think it helped that we bonded over our love/obsession with food! She even recommended a few local restaurants for me to try. Everyone who works at Vision Loft is so friendly. Dr. Bonnie Chen, absolutely not. I have been wearing glasses and seeing specialist since I was in elementary school, but she has been the worst eye doctor I've ever seen. I am very nearsighted, have a decent astigmatism, retinal issues, and family history of eye health issues that could lead to blindness. When I would address my concerns with her, she dismissed them. She would tell me it is average life stuff that I wasn't having issues with. My final straw was when I expressed to her that I was having more troubles with light sensitivity - mainly when driving, but also when I was outside in general - even with the use of sunglasses. She told me it wasn't possible for me to have this experience because I have brown eyes. She then went on to tell me that I just needed my prescription updated (hadn't changed much), make sure my windshield was clean (already clean), and continue wearing sunglasses (still doesn't help). I went to my pcp and got a referral to another eye doctor. I'm glad I did. My concerns were finally heard and addressed.

The front desk staff provided a warm and welcoming greeting and made the check-in process smooth and efficient. The technicians were knowledgeable, professional, and guided me through each step while clearly answering all of my questions or any curiosities I may have had about the equipment. The eye doctor was thorough and attentive, throughout my entire exam (as well as answering any questions I may have had) and the optician was incredibly helpful in assisting me with selecting the perfect pair of glasses. Every team member demonstrated strong expertise in their role and made me feel genuinely welcomed throughout my visit. The entire staff was kind, professional, and personable, and the facility itself was very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this eye center to anyone looking for exceptional care and service! P.S- Definitely everyone needs a pay raise for the experience they provide at this facility!

In the last fifteen months, I have had an experience with Drs. Harper, Lark, Baer and Robinson and…read moretheir entire staff that should win them all awards. I had a crazy accident that caused my right eye to actually burst open and fill with blood. We thought I had lost that eye forever. We bypassed the ER and went straight to CEC where the entire staff jumped into action. Dr. Harper, my regular ophthalmologist called Dr. Lark in immediately. They consulted with Dr. Baer, who was out of town, on the phone and they included my wife and me in their discussion. My wife, a nurse, was so impressed by the level of collaboration we saw there. That, in itself, was a confidence builder. Just less than 2 hours from the time of the accident, Dr. Lark had me in surgery putting my eye back together. Along the way, I needed a vitrectomy and a lens implant-- 4 surgeries in all. We are so fortunate to have so many highly trained surgeons- each contributing his/her own area of expertise-right here in Concord . And their assistants and front office are the best. My doctors went the extra mile for me. They gave me their home numbers. They called to check on me. They knew we were worried so they saw me almost daily for a long time. Drs. Robinson and Baer arranged to do surgery at night after long days in the office so both could be there to work together. The teamwork among the staff at all levels was amazing and their kindness has been comforting. I could see that they were all doing their best for me. After the third surgery the doctors said that they were afraid there was little hope that my vision would recover. The next day, however, I saw light, shadows and even color for the first time! Two months ago, Dr. Robinson implanted a new lens in my eye which improved my vision greatly and this week I was fitted for new glasses that will bring my vision back to 20/20 in both eyes!! My rating is based on the Rocky River Rd location and it's so high due to the doctors being so…read moreawesome as well as Kim in the contact lense department and a lady who helped administer special tests that I needed (one where you click a button when a dot appears, I that helps determine who it is). There are some other ladies in the office who come across as abrupt, rude and just generally unhappy people. No warm fuzzy going with them at all. The nurse who takes you back to the room is nice enough BUT she is usually in such a hurry that when she asks you questions, she lets you get out a few words before she cuts you off and doesn't let you finish your statement. I am no chatty Kathy. I will answer a question succinctly with the information you need. Please don't cut me off. First, how RUDE and second, it ended up taking even more time because I had to repeat what I had started saying and then finish my statement for her to have the information she needed. How did the rudeness save time? It didn't. Thankfully Drs. Fix and Eckel are AWESOME. I am difficult to get a correct lense because I really need a stronger RX than I have but it gives me headaches so we have to work and find what will work for me. I've seen both doctors over the years but have stuck with Dr. fix overall because she has found the knack for getting the right RX strength for me. So ultimately, I keep coming back because the doctors are fantastic but if it weren't for them, I would go somewhere else because the front staff just make me feel like an imposition when I come in. Maybe that is completely unintentional on their part but I'd like them to be aware of how the make people feel. I'm thick skinned but how about the elderly or people going thru tough times...they don't need to be made feel like that. I only took off one star for that.

One staff member acted like I needed her permission to leave the building, which was both unnecessary and condescending. During the appointment, the person fitting my glasses made inaccurate assumptions about my vision history, dismissed my input, and even physically hurt me during the fitting--with zero apology. When I politely corrected him, he brushed it off entirely. What makes it worse? I sent a kind, detailed follow-up email asking about important next steps in my eye care--lenses, drops, treatments--and nearly two weeks later, I've received no response. For a place that had no problem taking over $600 for glasses, the lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. I don't recommend this clinic if you expect to be treated with basic respect or to receive professional follow-through on your care.

Talk about creepy looking! The eye doctor explained everything thoroughly, and did a fine job of using layman's terms to ensure I understood the health of my eyes and my vision. They had a special on glasses, buy one pair of glasses and get the second pair for 50% off . The glasses insurance was explained to me, but I was not asked if I wanted it. It was just added. It turns out I decided I wanted it after all, but I was a bit surprised at its inclusion when I got to the counter. Every person within this establishment was so professional, patient and friendly. They really try to create customer loyalty and give you every reason to come back. And it's working. I will be back next year :-)
