Excellent selection of wines & always seem to have a sommelier on hand to answer any questions I might have.

Matt & Rebecca promptly resolved my delivery issue with outstanding customer service. It was something outside of their quality controls and was a simple miscommunication issue after-all. I highly recommend ordering and shipping from Davidson. I'll be back. Merlin 1st time buyer, last week I ordered 6-bottles of concentrated sangria wine. Recently, the fed-ex driver delivered the intact box but it was very, very obvious that some content had spilled. When I opened the discolored box , I noted that one of the corks had dislodged , spilling 80% of the red sangria I had two choices ; return the entire shipment and deal with getting credit or accept 5 bottles and emailing Davidson with my photo's and a written explanation, hoping that they'd consider credit when I purchase again? I photographed the outside inside and provided a written summary of what had occurred. NO response back. Nada. I'll take that as a "No". My point is this, they could have at least responded back in any form if customer service was important to Davidson. It's not. Too bad, I'll need to find a new source. read more

I'm going big on 5 stars easily! The staff here know their stuff and prices better than Tastys by far. Chris the guy in charge of spirits is very knowledgable and has never steered me wrong with new recommendations. Parking is the only downside here but everything else is only upside. Love this LQ. The place is always fully stocked, clean and the aisles easy to maneuver (a BIG plus with all those glass bottles around). The lines are never long, they have great prices and the best part is the staff. Ever so helpful and friendly. No matter what section you find them in or how many pellets and price guns they have next to them they are ALWAYS willing the help answer a question or point you in the right direction. Oh and did I mention their recommendations are on point?! The store isn't the closest to my house but I'd rather pass five other places to spend my money here! Absolutely unparalleled selection of Scotch in most all the big liquor stores I've been to. Very knowledgeable staff that strives to get unique bottles there, even if it's only one or two. The best employee, Dave, can point you to an exact bottle of Scotch depending on your mood and what flavors you want. Anytime he's there I ask for a recommendation and he's never done me wrong. They usually have very competitive prices, and sometimes certain bottles are on sale for almost 10 dollars cheaper than elsewhere. The month Scotch was on the double points loyalty program I reached my 500 points in no time. The Scotch inventory at Tipsy's and Argonauts is nowhere near as diverse. read more

Those liquor store is really great! The prices are competitive and the selection is good. Most of the staff is knowledgable and will help you find a great product. On a few occasions I've been suggested terrible wines but I think this just comes down to preference. Definitely a place to buy liquor at a great price! read more

Great customer service. Great keg prices. Decent wine and liquor prices. I spend on average $250 a month on wine, beer, liquor, and the same for gifts and Davidson's is my new favorite store. Their beer selection has improved over the last 2-3 years to a point where they are one of the top 2 spots in south metro for specialty beers. They carry some tough to find bombers. Die hards of this place will choose to ignore the fact that they used to not carry much for local micros but the likes of Odells, New Belgium, Ska. They have seen the light and now carry some great beers from all over the state. Wine selection has and always will be impressive. read more

The place has the best prices and best selection of beer than any other liquor store I have been to in the Denver area. What I like most is that you can by a 12-pack of most beers (I hate paying $8.99 for a 6-pack!), and you get a bigger discount on cases. I used to live very close, but now I am downtown and about 20 miles away... but I still make a monthly trek to Davidson's. It is worth it!! read more

Davidson's Liquor and I have a long standing love-hate relationship, in the fact that I hate that I love them. I mean they're about the only liquor store I've ever found where I think "I'll stop in and see if they have an interesting six-pack", and come out buying a case of assorted beer. I have to say their beer cave is phenominal, and you can get great bombers from all over the country, including some hard to find beers like Sierra Nevada's Ginger Bigfoot. On top of that they have a ton of different six packs, and a Scotch collection fit for a king. I walked through and when I realized they had every Balvenie I could imagine my heart skipped a beat... until I saw the prices of those hard to find bottles and realized if I dropped a paycheck on a single bottle I might end up killed in my sleep. All in all, I think if Colorado didn't have liquor store laws carried over from the middle ages, Davidson's could take over the world. read more

STAY AWAY! This place is run by a bunch of jerks! They are very nice when it comes time to take your money, but just ask for customer service and you're on your own! I returned a bottle of wine that went bad because of a bad cork, and you would think that I was trying to rob the place! The 'manager' asked me why the bottle was so cold! It was 15 degrees outside and he wanted to know why the bottle was so cold! Then he wanted to know if I drank the wine that cold! Like I drank it in the car in the parking lot. Total jackass!! There is no other way to begin a review of Davidson's Liquors than by declaring outright and forthwith that it is the finest local provider and purveyor of those goods that appeal to our senses and erode our health. Any man, rich or poor, souse or sober, sophist or philistine can walk into Davidson's and find something to their liking. Two walls of refrigerators keep an intimidating variety of beers, all adorned in their colorful boxes like a ballroom of brews. Most stunning is the stock of imports, especially Belgians. Also available is a medium sized shelf area of beer glasses. The people who work at the store are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. One feels like they're sage spirits who shunned all that nebulous stuff about wisdom, charity and benevolence to take on an expertise in fine booze. When I asked one employee if they had any mead in stock he led my friend and I on a long and dangerous expedition through endless fields of wine. We arrived at the other end of the store where he dove into a mound of wine bottles and came up again proudly holding a bottle of mead. He then procured some spectacles from his coat pocket and proceeded to lecture us on the proper production of mead, this particular brand's strengths, weaknesses and how he thought it compared to other meads. No other store even dares to approach this level of selection and service. read more

Too many times I tried this place and expired beer is the theme and report and there is no real concern . I don't know about you but the price of beer keeps going up and to buy expired beer is a rip off. Just this past week for the fourth time in the past two years the amount of expired beer I find is inexcusable. I reported this place to Budweiser and Coors and my understanding is that the expired beer was removed. Folks if you shop this place check the expiration dates. As for me, no more. I've been gypped out of $30 of rewards based on the system being rigged. Heads up... Ask for your points before they begin your transaction. Once you reach 500 points you should get $10 back. The rest of the points should go toward your reward points. They'll tell you that you can get your $10 back next time if you don't tell them to look first. Taking my business elsewhere after asking them to check my points before they ring up my purchase and giving me excuses. Pyramid Liquors on Littleton Blvd. offers much better rewards. read more

Best liquor store in the Denver area, hands down. Dave is by far one of the most knowledgable liquor salesmen I've ever met. Dude knows his stuff and he's also a super cool dude on top of that. The rest of the staff is knowledgable, polite, and friendly. No ones pushing you to buy something, but merely explaining the merits of their products and matching them with your tastes. Their single barrel selections are fantastic. I've gotten to the point where I am willing to buy any Davidson's barrel selection sight unseen. If ever leave Denver this might be what I miss the most. I have been shopping at Davidson's since 2003 and drive out of my way to get there. Their prices, selection, and helpful staff are as good as I have found anywhere. In the past six months however, I have noticed they have run out of stock on some of the beer and wine I had been reliably getting from them in the past. Additionally I was very disappointed in their policy with regard to returning spoiled wine. I had purchased a 2003 California Merlot a year ago and recently opened it to find it spoiled. Upon return, with receipt, I was advised that I would have had to have returned it within 20 days. Apparently their supplier will not take it back and they were unable to exchange or replace my purchase. I suggested they should negotiate a better deal with their suppliers and as someone who regularly buys wine on sale and cellars it, would have to rethink buying wine at Davidson's in future, unless of course I was going to drink it right away. read more

Looked up on internet for hours and address, drove 45 min to store to only be told it was closed for for inventory. You would think a store that, I assume/think, was told by the State Liquor Board that they couldn't advertise in the newespaper would let it's customers know on it's Website that it was to be closed for inventory. read more

Davidsons website says they will order any product they don't carry as long as it's distributed in Colorado, but they won't order Colorado Cellars Wines for me and they lie about why they won't. I bought this wine at Davidsons for years until about 2010, and then they stopped carrying it...they said the Winery was "too hard to deal with", and that the Winery wouldn't sell to them. I contacted the Winery directly to ask about this and the owner forwarded me a series of emails between his Winery and Davidsons which clearly showed that he had offered to sell to them...and they refused to buy! I read an article in the Wine Business Monthly magazine which states Colorado Cellars is one of the largest Wineries in the country, and the largest in Colorado but Davidsons won't carry it? Not much of a store I'd say, I shop at the Albertsons liquor store now and I've convinced my friends to do so as well! read more
