This isn't just a wham bam thank ya ma'am pedi, they spend plenty of time getting rid of dead skin, smoothing out the rough spots, and giving your feet & calves a lotion massage before putting the color of your choice on those perfectly trimmed nails. They also have 4 manicure stations, which are set up so you can chat with a friend. This is also a nice treat as they clean up your cuticles, shape up your nails, and give your hands a lotion massage before painting. They have 4 drying seats, and encourage you to take your time drying so nothing gets smudged. Last week several of us stopped by here, eager to try it based on all of the positive yelp reviews. BIG MISTAKE. My friends stopped by earlier in the day for manipedis, and I scheduled an appointment for a 6:30 manicure. 30 minutes later, and I am still waiting. Really, I should have left but I was eager to have my hands cleaned up for an event I was attending, so I decided to stick it out. Finally, it was my turn but just as I sit down a large group of last-minute walk ins and regulars enter the shop, wondering if there is any time to fit them in. A woman who seemed to be a regular came over and began chatting with the manicurist getting ready to finally do my nails, and asks how long it will be. The answer? "Ten minutes." Really. You make me wait 30 minutes after my appointment time and then speed-rush through my manicure in ten minutes so that you don't inconvenience your "regular" walkins? She didn't even bother cutting my nails at all; when I got home I had to try to buff them down to relatively equal sizes. That being said, the polish color was nice and the shop was clean, and I left thinking that at least my hands would look decent for my event several days later. This would have gotten more than a one star review if that was the case. In the mad rush to get me out of the shop, my manicurist didn't bother to soften my cubicles at all, completely skipping that step before ripping them out. The result: every single one of my fingers are now red, very painful, ragged, and far worse-looking than I came in, and have been for days. I would say to avoid that one manicurist, but my friend who had stopped by earlier was also rushed out when walkins stopped by and had literally the exact same thing happen to her. We are both furious. In short: don't stop by here unless you want a rushed job that leaves your hands in worse shape than when you started. Place was ok. I came here since I am at a hotel down the street. I wanted a polish with glitter and color in one the woman kept saying no get something else it took a bit to get her to do it which I didn't understand. It looked great and after a while she came over and checked my nails and said they were done. So I put my shoes on and left it, it seems they were not and got half taken off by the walk back. Unfortunately quality has gone down over my past few visits. My favorite girl either doesn't work there anymore or has different hours at times I'm never able to come in. While all the other women are equally sweet, they definitely don't do as thorough a job cleaning the nail beds and cuticles (on hands or feet) which makes such a big difference in how long until the polish chips. Still not a bad salon, but I may try a few others in the area and maybe end up back here if I don't find somewhere else I love more. Note: bring cash! You can't tip on your CC. Daisy is amazing! I had been everywhere and desperate I finally came here even though I don't live close or ever really go in that direction. I don't know exactly what she does that is so different, but I think part of what it might be is when she does french manicures, after she shapes the tip she fills in underneath the tip one layer of pink before going over the whole nail. That way the tip of the nail is vibrant and isn't really thick. She really spends a lot of time so if you go in for a mani-pedi then make sure you have at least an hour and a half. read more

I think I may have found my new nail place.... I went to Dazzling Nails for a mani/pedi yesterday. First off, it was 12:45 on a Sunday when I decided to go and Dazzling Nails was open. There aren't many nail salons open on Sundays. I left very happy with the service I received. My pedicure was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep on the chair, which is a big deal because I am ridiculously ticklish and always worry I'll end up kicking the person in the face. They have a good selection of colors and it only took about an hour and 15 for my mani and pedi. I was also happy to hear that it was only $40 for both. I will definitely be going back. read more

They said they could do the pictures I showed said omg easy they ignored the picture of what I wanted the nail color is completely see through they charged me over $55 for a horrible set that makes me wanna cry every day looking at them. I repeatedly told her that I wanted regular nail polish but she applied gel and charged me for it as well. Truly terrible experience. I would never come here again she disregarded my request, and she was rude towards me. I don't recommend this place at all, find somewhere better. I feel like this place is a hidden gem. The decor is perhaps not as fancy as Salon d'elegance down the street, but my experiences at Dazzling Nail have been exponentially better. The staff is thoughtful and take time to do a good job. They also take care to make sure you are letting your nails dry long enough and will help you with your shoes, coat, bag to take an extra step that your nails don't get smudged. They also have a great selection of colors, from "work friendly" to "vacation fun". My sister and I have often gone together and the set up allows us to sit next to each other and chat, in fact, the staff has gone out of their way to let us sit together. My manicures have lasted about a week without chipping (and I am pretty hard on my nails), and pedicures last 3-4 weeks. Mani/pedi's are $35 and I have always left feeling like I got a bargain. read more

Due to the other fabulous reviews for Daisy, I made an appointment with Daisy for Saturday afternoon at 4pm for a manicure and pedicure. I arrived 5 min late and I was immediately seated in the luxurious massage chairs. Daisy was awesome. I have been looking for a good pedicure in Boston since I moved here a year ago and I think I finally found my girl. She was super attentive to my feet with cleaning up dead skin, as well as painting one nail with the color to make sure I liked it. The BEST part? The double foot massages, and their length! She massaged the exfoliating treatment into both of my feet, thoroughly, in addition to a full 5 minute per foot massage when it came time for moisturizing lotion. Love that! I also asked for an eyebrow wax while she was finishing my nails and she was more than happy to accommodate. Even while another person was waiting for her. She did an excellent job with my eyebrows, too. The only potential qualm I had about the place was it wasn't amazingly organized/well kept. That is not a big deal to me though, as I've found a truly good pedicure! I will definitely be back! read more

All in all it was a very frustrating experience where I was overcharged, given the wrong procedures, made to wait, and had to return the next day to pay all because of the mistakes of Dazzling. I came here as a birthday present from my mom. I called ahead and asked if they took American Express cards. The lady on the phone spoke terrible English, and I had to repeat myself several times. In the end, I asked if they took American Express Cards, and the answer was "Yes, credit cards." Great, so I came in and got a quote for a mani/pedi which included gel nails for my hands and feet. The price seemed fair, and so I went forward with the appointment. The service was friendly enough, even though very little was said, again the language barrier. I actually prefer this as I've never enjoyed chitchat at the hair or nail salon. I like my toenails longer than the norm, and so I instructed the lady to only take a little bit off. I sat reading while my lady exfoliated my feet and cut my toenails. When I looked down, I saw that she had cut my nails as far down as you can go without bleeding. She had thought "little bit" meant that I only wanted a little bit of toenail left. Again, the language barrier. I then found out that she would not be gelling my toes, as we had arranged, as again she misunderstood English. Further, she would not drop the price quoted to me even though she would not be performing all the services promised. The gel nails, and regular polish were applied expertly. I had to wait a short time for the polish to dry, and in the mean time my lady started giving a pedi to another customer. That's fine, except I then had to wait an extra 20 minutes after my nails were dry to be able to pay. When I handed them my Amex card, they said that they do not take Amex, despite the misguided "yes" I got on the phone. As I had no other way to pay, I had to make a second trip out the next day to pay. This trip to the salon was anything but relaxing. The service blows, but when they're not messing up big time, the work done on your nails good. Not worth your money, gals. read more

I went to this nail place because the reviews were good, and it's convenient to my house. Everything was good till I needed a new set. The older lady took off my old nails and made one bleed really bad. I've had nails forever and do not soak them off. I have them taken off without soaking, and she did not know what she was doing. Jenny put a new set on and I asked for pink to go with my white tips and got white. All the lines from my nails being done shows with white. They look awful and on top of it I just got a new set a week ago and a nail is lifting. The girls are very friendly and nice, and the prices are reasonable. But I won't go back again. read more

Had a frustrating experience where I called and schedule two gel manicure appointments and when I got to the salon, I was told it woudl be a 15 minute wait. After that, I was told it would be another 15 minute wait, but there were still numerous people waiting. Poor way to run a business and extremely unprofessional. The one time I did get my nails here it was fine, pretty mediocre. The salon is also grungy. It is a shame that this didn't work out because I live in such a close vicinity, but will never go back. read more

I have been a regular here for a few years. I always book with Jenny. My husband is a fan of Daisy. It can get really jammed up at odd times so I recommend a phone call, but I have walked in with little to no wait. A few tips: -If you call ahead, be sure you are talking with Jenny or Daisy. If not- ask when Jenny will be in and call back. I have had a few appointment miscommunications here. Nothing that keeps me away, but enough that I have learned to confirm who I am speaking to. -Kim, although lovely, may not be for you. She is a bit rough with the tools. Her massages are lengthy but her pressure seems off. Hard to explain. There is another young girl who is often there but I cannot recall her name. I have only been to Daisy, Kim, and Jenny. I do like Daisy and Jenny best. -There is no cell phone policy. It doesn't bother me, but there are often people in here gabbing away (loudly) on their phone. Annoying, but it happens. I prefer pedicure texting myself. -Parking is on street and the meter requires quarters. -Very male friendly. Tons of guys in here all the time. I love this place. There are two things I am super picky about...1. my hair. 2. my nails. When I found this place I was living around the corner and it was so easy to get there. I now live off Route 1 and I still drive here to get my nails done. The ladies running the shop are all great. Jenny, Kim, Daisy-all wonderful. Because they all know me...when I get a pedicure they know I love getting my feet and legs rubbed. I'm a bartender and I have to work in heels every night so it really helps to get my feet and legs rubbed. They never charge me more and they literally aways apply like 3 coats of lotion over and over again. Its wonderful. I recommend this place to anyone cause they are always so accommodating and sweet. I'm not sure why this place gets such great reviews. I decided to try this place for the first time over the weekend and continue to be disappointed by how my nails are holding up. The service was very friendly and the staff very attentive but thats about all this place had going for it. When you first walk in you're met with a wall of fumes. By the time I left i had a headache and I could tell the place had very little ventilation. It was also a bit dusty and not as clean as I prefer nail salons to be. The nail polish selection was pretty limited and many of the bottles appeared to have old polish in them. I picked a color that hadn't separated in a bottle that looked newer. I get a regular mani pedi and while the tech was very detail oriented the finish is very bumpy. After my manicure was complete I sat under the hand dryer for over half an hour as the polish was not drying properly which leads me to believe the polish was outdated. I left pretty frustrated that the process had taken so long and despite how long I waited for my nails to dry and not putting my hands in my pockets once I left, one of my nails still smudged. The polish chipped pretty quickly there after despite the fact that I haven't don't anything labor intensive beyond typing on my computer. I know that regular manicures tend to not hold up as well as gel manicures however I've had regular manicures last almost an entire week without any chipping and that was not the case here. read more

The salon just got new massage chairs and they're quite amazing. State of the art! It's a very clean and nice salon, in the summer they keep the door open, so it's well ventilated. I've tried this place a couple of times because I live in the area - I really want to give more stars because everyone running the place is very sweet and personable, but the technical skill just isn't there enough for me to recommend it. First time going in I got a pedicure, and without asking my preference, the tech immediately started cutting my toenails as short as she possibly could. She literally just cut down as close as she could without cutting my skin. I realize some people might want this done, but dang, never seen anybody just go ahead and do it without asking. I ended up getting a polish change at a different salon a few days later, and the girl there literally asked me what the heck happened to my toenails because she assumed I had either broken them or cut them off crazy short myself. Another visit I came in for a gel takeoff/mani; I'm no nail tech, but at any other salon I've been to, they first file the gel you have on a bit with emory to make it more porous before they wrap them. The woman who did mine did not do any filing and just wrapped them right off the bat; of course it took way longer than it should have for the soaking to take effect, and she ended up spending minutes painfully and harshly scraping at my nails to get all of the gel off. The end product gel mani looked good, but began chipping and lifting within a couple of days (probably a combined effect of sub-par application and the fact that my natural nail beds were wrecked up by the scraping). Maybe it's really dependent on who you get, but I just haven't seen the quality I'd expect on my couple of visits here. read more

I can understand why many people gave this place a good review, however, I am disappointed with my experience here both times I've visited. Firstly, I want to point out that the owner and her daughter are very nice and polite. They make you feel welcomed and treat you as if you were a customer forever. BUT the other woman who works there is the worst!! Not only did she try to over charge me for a gel mani but she did an AWFUL job on my pedicure and could not polish to save her life. She was rude and I could tell she was talking about me in whatever language she was speaking to the other employees there. I still make the drive over there, and have convinced my friends who even live out of state to get their nails done with me there! Daisy gives the best pedicure! She worked for almost an hour. I swear my shoes fit better when she was done. She didn't just smooth out the hard skin - she took it off - she took it all off. I was once a regular (when I had the money) and loved Jenny, Seriously the best, she even managed to draw a Panda on my sisters nails for an event. Now as a college student I no longer have the time or money to spend on myself but when I can I will always get a pedicure. At one point I had called in and the place was crowded so a friend and I went looking for another place, it was only about 2 PM on a Thursday but everywhere else turned us down, so we called again and they took us. Their pricing is great. It was at least 1/2 the price of anywhere else in the city. I personally I have never had bad service, but I suppose rush hour causes some problems. Everyone here is just so nice and accommodating. The new chairs are incredibly comfy, it's always clean, and very reasonably priced. If you walk-in on the weekend, expect a little wait. I try and call ahead and they're very good about keeping appointments. I like how they cut my toenails and it seems to be very similar across the board - it doesn't matter which person is doing your nails, they're all very good.
