De Leon's has been a favorite of mine for a few years now... But I will say their original location on Francis is much better than their location on Sprague. Their Sprague location is "OK" where as their original location is BOMB!!!! I have eaten here at least 40 to 50 times, and their food is very enjoyable! Their market has an amazing selection of hispanic goods and groceries, as well as a meat market. Prices are very fair. If you've never had Pon Dolce (mexican pastries and donuts) They bake theirs and they are excellent. You must give it a try! read more

This was our 1st time here. Had heard about the place for a while. So glad we gave it a try! Fresh, flavorful, authentic Mexican food. I had Sergio's Burrito with the green sauce. I have been enjoying De Leons for the past 15 years. I ordered a take out order on 7/15 and once I got home we noticed we were missing our rice and beans. We went back to pick up. No problem. Our food was so spicy even the beans. The beans were also watered down.. maybe it was just a mistake on their end but I have never experienced their food being that spicy. Strictly marginal. I find the great reviews surprising. The staff was friendly. However, chips were tiny pieces, like the bottom of the bag. Salsa marginal. I ordered two chili verde tacos with beans and rice. The tacos were tasty but the beans and rice were cold. Yuck. My husband ordered the skirt steak taco. He said it was so greasy it was disgusting. This was our second time at De Leon's. The first time we had drinks, chips and salsa. This time we bellied up to the bar and what a treat it was. Rob was the bartender and he did a fantastic job. Served up our drinks fast, made great conversation all while he was making drinks for the rest of the restaurant. He was very busy but always made time to make sure we had what we needed. Ive eaten at both De Leons and ordered large quantities of food thru my job and have been pleased. I was excited to try the taco bar and am thoroughly disappointed. We arrived at 4pm when there were maybe three people there. Every table was dirty. It looked like there were ten people working but service was extremely slow. It took the waitress a long time to bring our drink order Once the food was delivered she never asked about our food or whether we wanted another drink. When it was time to pay instead of grabbing our money she spent 10 mins talking to her co worker. I will rethink if I will patron another DeLeons. read more

We have ordered takeout from here twice and have really enjoyed it. Both times we ordered fajitas. My only complaint is they charge $6.99 for shareable guac, which is seriously the smallest portion of guac you have ever seen! When I made a comment about it to the worker, he went to the back and brought me a bigger container of guac free of charge which was super sweet of him. I also have had the tacos when we have dined in and they were fantastic!! Definitely recommend, just skip the guac unless you are dining in. read more

Went to De Leon's Taco & Bar for the first time today, it was AMAZING! Had pulled pork & chicken tacos, the meat was delicious, packed with flavor & so tender! Loved the green sauce that comes with the tacos, as well as the salsa! Wish I took a picture lol. The staff is very nice & quick to offer service. Atmosphere is verywelcoming and clean. This review pertains to the De Leon's on E Francis. This is one of my stops at least once a week in Spokane. Their food is good and close to good Mexican food. Today my wife and I went to eat lunch. Young Hispanic female was behind the counter. Looking at us she ignored us for several minutes , then address us and said it would be a minute. Several minutes more she decides to talk to another employee. Still ignoring us. I felt she was ignoring us because we are white. I grew up on the Mexican border and I felt like home. Unfortunately our experience was not great. We waited for a long time before our order was taken. Went for taco Tuesday which I guess ends at 5:00. I got crispy chicken tacos and shrimp soft tacos. My chicken tacos smelled and tasted fishy. The chicken seemed like it was canned shredded chicken. It was dry too. My shrimp tacos were ok but bland. My husband didn't like his either and he got crispy tacos and fish tacos. We wanted to like it but I don't recommend it. At least not for tacos, maybe other options there are better. read more

A gem on the Northside! Only open a couple weeks DeLeon Taco and Bar is nearly in full swing. Shrimp tacos are amazing! Fantastic well priced menu with great options and a excellent array of tequilas, beer, and wine to choose from. This off shoot from DeLeon Foods is sure to be a hit and here to stay. We were super sad to have O'Doherty's move out...but excited to have a good Mexican Restaurant move in! I had the green sauce chicken enchiladas which were very good. Rice and beans were good. My husband enjoyed his beef fajitas. But...I do not like their chips and salsa. The salsa tastes like it has red peppers in the mix? The chips were almost too salty? I wish they had multiple choices on the salsa...but we liked everything else. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. First and foremost this place does sell tamales. Asked the wife to describe them with one word, she said "delicious". The red sauce was great as was the pico de gallo complimenting it. I ordered the steak fajitas. They were wonderful. The veggies were fresh the steak was well seasoned and the tortillas hot! The roasted jalapeno was worth the .75 cents. As for service the staff was great. My server was there for our every need. The only thing I noticed was that at one point the entire visible staff were on their phones. It didn't effect service but was noticeable. As for northside Mexican dining goes this is my new go to spot. The atmosphere is nice. The food is bomb and comes out with the quickness! Really really good food! I have had the tamales, burrito, and street tacos and each time I have been very happy with it! Chips, salsa, and guacamole are also very good. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars is because of the service I have had from 1 waitress a couple times, just have had to ask to get refills and silverware. read more
