When a vehicle is towed it's likely because of 3 primary scenarios (an accident where the car is not able to be driven, a broken down vehicle, or a vehicle parked in a no parking spot.) Either of the listed scenarios are starting off with unhappy automobile owners so reviews are likely going to be positive. With all that said, I have recently had a car that was in a pretty bad accident...thankfully no one was injured by the grace of God! The Crystal Lake police officer was pretty awesome on her own and we are always thankful to our police! The officer called Ormsby Towing, owned by Tom Ormsby I have come to find out. Back in August my car got some body damage and was brought to ABRA Auto Body right by this shop. Well, it's alternator also decided to go out on me, so once the body shop fixed the body damage they graciously brought it to Ormsby since it was close (I live 2 hours away from Crystal Lake and was visiting my family when this all happened, so I wasn't nearby). Needless to say we got the alternator replaced and all went well. UNTIL about a month or 2 later when it started having problems again. We assumed the car was having new problems and just didn't have time to bring it to get checked out, so we replaced the battery... and that helped but didn't solve any of our problems. So we then brought it to a shop local to us and guess what? The alternator that this shop put into it was bad... so here we are, having to put another alternator into our car a few months later because Ormsby decided what our car needed was a bad alternator. So keep this in mind if you plan on going here... months down the line you may have to redo what you paid them to do...
