When we walked in it was very confusing whether to go left or right. We ended up sitting in the bar area where there were 4 other people excluding us and the staff. After reading the reviews we were skeptical about eating here but we gave it a shot and glad we did. We were immediately helped by a nice waitress and got out food within 15-20 minutes of ordering. The portions were huge and the food was delicious but we were staying in a hotel so we didn't have any way of taking leftovers. Even though it seems slow, everything was great and I'm glad we found this place. I work at an Italian restaurant back at home and I'm glad I found this place because this is my new favorite place to eat! Once I move back, I'll definitely be returning here. read more

Last night was our 2nd time out for Dean's Wednesday night 'all you can eat' baby back pork ribs.. First off, both times, the food and especially the ribs are unbelievably great. The meat is so tender and falling off the bones.. All of the other sides that came with it were very good as well. Our server, Sarah, was also as friendly, personable, and efficient as possible. I didn't know what kind of cocktail I wanted, and she suggested a cucumber vodka with tonic and lime. Which was fantastic and refreshing, after such a hot day! My best friend and I were both celebrating 24 years with our employer yesterday. Along with my other half, and a long time friend and her daughter. We all loved it My only complaint would be that Fox News has to play in every area.. I do know many folks who would walk out without trying the delicious food. Perhaps Fox could play in one room, and CNN or MSNBC in another room. Let's be fair now.. At least the sound wasn't up.. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thank you. read more

Stopped in on the way home last night. Had heard mixed reviews, but got a personal recommendation from a friend, so had to check it out for myself. Sat at the bar and had a few cocktails and ordered some appetizers. Apart from the delicious food, the service was fantastic. We caught the day shift bartender at the end of his shift, and spent another hour or so with the swing bartender. Both were friendly and engaging! Great service! Our waiter was equally friendly and courteous. He spent some extra time chatting and getting to know us, as the dining crowd was pretty small at the time we were there. Overall, this place is pretty great and has officially been added to my list of regular haunts! read more

What a hidden gem! We had to wait an hour at Cracker Barrel so we went searching for a different place to eat. The food was fantastic! Our group had pizzas, tortellini, wedding soup, caprese salad, and a meatball sandwich. The meatballs are home made and were delicious! Went on Wednesday night at 7:30 because they have a big sign all you can eat ribs Wednesday night go in no one greets us sign inside says dinning on both sides we go to the right and the bartender says dinning room is on the other side so we go over there only people at one table. Sit down waitress comes over asked if we want something to drink we order 2 cokes and asks if we are ready to order we order all you can eat ribs only to be told they are out of ribs and she would give us a couple of minutes to look at the Menu when she came back we said we came for ribs we were going to leave and we put a 5 dollar bill on the table her response was I will be right back with the bill for your drinks. Really you are going to charge me for 2 cokes when you ran out of your special at 7:30 at night. Well she went from getting $5 to getting a 60 cent tip since 2 cokes cost $6.40. The first time we visited Dean's Place we went with a friend 3 years ago the restaurant hardly had any people inside and the food was ok. We decided to try it again and the food was still ok, definitely have had better Italian food at other restaurants. It sucks when a business shows what political party they associate with, so we will not be returning. If I was a business owner my establishment would be bipartisan so nobody would know what political party I follow and nobody would feel uncomfortable and be encouraged to return! read more

Lots of negative reviews, but I had a fine dining experience. As usual, it starts with the bartender (in the non-smoking section). She was very nice and so was the pig-tailed server. It was about 8pm on a Wednesday and I was looking for the UNLV game. The staff was quite helpful and found the game after a few minutes (They have every freakin channel if you need to watch a game). Meal started off great with hot Rosemary bread served with butter and balsamic and olive oil mix. Usually that is a good sign. Entree came with a large salad loaded with croutons and some of the biggest Cherry Tomatoes I have ever seen (i needded a knife to cut the 2nd one after the first one exploded in my mouth). Dressing was homemade Vinegarette and was getting full already. For the main shot, i tried the Chicken Picatta - something I don't usually get, but i was trying to avoid cheese. You need to like Capers andlemon sauce, but that is what Picatta usually consists of. Two large chicken breasts were tasty and then they even included a large side dish of pasta (( i had angel hair and marinara). All of this for $11.95. Oh yeah and a slice of garlic Bread to boot. Some of menu is all over the place (south of the Border specialities?), but stay with Italian basics and if it seems like too much is going on with a dish skip it. Went there today with my wife. Got the eggplant parmesan and wife got the chicken parmesan. Both plentiful and good tasting. Had a couple of beers and took home the large 14 in pizza with several toppings. Great price and Sara our server was fantastic. Highly recommend this place. Dean's was nothing special. I guess the location on Dean Martin Drive and the one picture of Dean Martin in the entryway are what makes it "Dean's" Place. It's billed as an Italian restaurant; there's Italian aplenty (chicken piccata, eggplant parm, Italian sausage sandwich, etc.) but there's a lot of American influence as well (burgers, pulled pork). The food is fine, portions are a good size, and the prices are reasonable. The service is slooooooooooooooow. The restaurant was nowhere near busy the night we were there, but it took our server forever and a day to bring our drinks. I thought she'd gotten lost on the way to our table. A couple that was seated fifteen minutes after we were received their food ten minutes before we did. There are several TVs in this place, all playing sports, so it feels more like a sports bar than a restaurant. read more

Great food, I come for the spaghetti meatballs . But I also enjoy 5 dollar taquitos, steaks are also well prepared. It is a step above a normal gaming bar in terms of food and service. There is a separate dinning room, smoking bar and a smoke free gaming bar as well. Service is prompt and courteous. I am not a regular but have been made to feel very welcome on three visits. The food is very good and the working staff were very friendly. I went here midnight after watching a show and one Sunday morning for brunch. Oh my god!!! I've gone here twice with a friend who invited me. Late night chow at half price he said. He suggested the Italian sausage which I was hesitant about but decided on. I was expecting a single sausage with some peppers. Nope. It was much more! Sausage chopped with cheese and peppers all mushed in, plenty of taste in every bite. The second time I went with the philly cheese steak. Just as good as the Italian sausage, if not better. OMFG!!! Do it, late night, that price can't be beat. Myself and my wife stumbled on this place one nite. It's across from the Silverton Casino. The first time I went there I was blown away. I thought the service and food was great. I'm from south philly and we know good food. We had a problem with our food 4 times in one night. But it's sad that the owner could not come to the table and apologize for our inconvenience we experience. This was about a year ago. We've been there 3 Other times since our first visit and it went down real quick. We found out they changed their cook and believe me you can taste the difference. The portions got smaller and the prices went up! This place is not even good no more for an appetizer. We brought my mom there with her boyfriend from Philly and it was just embarrassing. Nice place and great staff but the food went down hill fast. Don't waist your time. I have gave it 2 thumbs down not two stars. read more

After driving past this place for years, I finally stopped in for lunch. It wasn't very busy, but the place was clean and welcoming and we were greeted in a friendly manor. This is our first experience with Dean's Place. We placed an order for pick up. An order of Chicken Parmesan, an order of Tortellini and an order of Fettuccine Alfredo. It was completely wrapped up upon pick up. Styrofoam boxes were wrapped in saran wrap. Upon arriving home and opening the boxes we were appalled at the portion received for our order of fettuccine Alfredo. I am including a picture for your reference. We placed it on a salad plate just so your aware of the actual size if the plate. Are you kidding me? And of course its not like this place is close to home for us to turn around and go back. Also, they do not include a soup or salad with their entree meals. That would cost extra so you would think the portions of food would be appropriate to price. This place is way over priced for the portion size that you get. I left hungry and we had to stop on the way home in a drive through. I can't believe I wasted 80.00 for 4 people to eat. The pastas do not even come with a salad. They give dinner rolls instead of Italian bread. We will never return here. It's ok: as in the same category as Macaroni Grill chains. The service was ok - but considering the restaurant was empty at 5:30 pm with the bar having a few bar top gamblers , there shouldn't have been a challenge there.
