Our table took some time, but the host graciously took our drink order and we waited patiently to the side while the party before us paid their check. We didn't mind to wait, but he thanked us 5 times and made sure we had water and drinks. Incredible service that was appreciated. Our server was a quirky guy with great recommendations and I loved him - he took great care of us. We ordered a lot of food and drinks and they were all over it. My cocktails were excellent and it was fun to try some new and unique drinks. My husband's mocktail was solid and he ordered a second, which rarely happens. The food was all delicious. Hot and fresh. Timely. Creative but familiar. The arrancini.... It was so good we ordered a second round for the table. I think we all agreed each person should have just ordered their own, it was that good. I loved the pasta and the carrots and mushrooms. Hands down, my favorite part of the meal. The vibe in the restaurant is fantastic. Busy but not too loud. Cute place and the staff was really nice! We started with their version of espresso martini which does not contain espresso, it's made with cold brew. It was topped with spices that added a unique flavor. We shared multiple starters The Arancini was good, it was one large rather than multiple like we saw in previous photos. The carrots in my opinion were undercooked, it felt like they were quickly charred on the grill as they were still pretty hard. The marbled potatoes were great! Probably my favorite. I ordered the pork and it came out raw/under cooked bright pink on inside on the first cut. It was sent back and server has chef makes new one. My friend finished her dinner while I waited for new meal to be made. Overall it was okay and my appetite shifted after seeing raw pork the first time. The server did give a discount. read more

Great spot while visiting Nashville! Cute inside vibes with awesome hipster staff. Good cocktails and fun shareable plates! We really enjoyed the arancini and potatoes!!! The carrots were a little undercooked so the larger carrots felt like eating a raw carrot with a little char flavor. My papardelle with braised short rib was AMAZING! Great meal at this Butchertown neighborhood spot housed in an 1870's building. Interior is exposed brick, a cool blend of industrial and eclectic. Jazz plays at the right volume in the background. About 15 tables. Service is quick and attentive. Thanks to Jamie for keeping the meal moving at the right pace, with a smile. Tried arrencini as an appetizer. Baseball-sized orbs of risotto, breaded and fried crispy crunchy brown are served atop a swirl of fontina, with a drizzle of truffle aioli. A great combo of well balanced flavors. Also tried papardelle. House-made noodles cooked perfectly al dente are tossed with braised beef, onion and parmigiana with a dash of horseradish. Tough to say whether the beef or the noodles steals the show. This is really good. Tablemates enjoyed salmon, ribeye and pork chop milanese. Salmon prepared with a nice crunch on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Pork chop is pounded thin, breaded and fried, similar to schnitzel. Ribeye needed a return visit to the broiler as it was a little too rare at presentation. The manager delivered a replacement with a series of apologies - all handled professionally and courteously. The bare minimum with no interaction. Food took 35 minutes to come out after ordering. Order: Pappardelle with braised short ribs. Delicious. Definitely worth the wait. Rich savory sauce flavor that combined perfectly with the tender braised beef. Loved the caramelized onions that added some texture. This restaurant is such a gem! When I come here, ask myself why don't I get here more often!?! Interior is pretty with many seating sizes available. I believe our server was Colin and he was on point! Uber professional and just lovely. We started with a brie and apple butter special. My god, was that apple butter to die for. It had something in it that I couldn't pinpoint. Brie on the accompanying toasted bread with apple butter, sinful. Truffle arancini was next and another party in my mouth. I had the salmon and beans. You must try this! Salmon with its crispy skin was smooth like butter. The beans, so amazing and I was quite surprised how great they go together. Ali had the pappardelle. Decade is one of those places I had always heard great things about, but had never prioritized going. During the holidays, we found ourselves in Butchertown and after striking out at our first food attempt, we pivoted to Decade. We called ahead and asked if they had seating. When we walked in, they had four seats at the bar already set for us, and the service was great from there. The ambiance was fantastic with classy Christmas decorations and dim lighting. I had a seasonal cocktail, which I very much enjoyed. We decided to split a couple of dishes since we weren't expecting to come here. We got the caulini, which was exceptional, considering I am lukewarm on cauliflower. But this was great. I'm not usually one to get chicken when we go out to eat, but since we just had steak the night before, this was appealing. The chicken here was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor to it. The lentils were a nice little touch as well. I can see why my friends have raved about Decade. I am now one of those people, and look forward to going back. read more

I'm a member of a several dining clubs. One in particular is a group of five guys and we typically order a dozen items on a given menu and share them all, almost tapas style. I was really hyped to try Decade, and I had high hopes. The menu sounded cool and the reviews have been exceptional. I've got to say, though, I wasn't impressed. Nothing was "bad," except for maybe the carrots, given their $16 price point. But the flavors were mostly average, the portions were below average, the ambiance was average, and the prices were above average. To me, that mostly misses the mark. I will say that the service was pretty good and that I wouldn't rule out coming back in the future because they do a good job rotating the menu with new items. Our table tried a few cocktails; this is how I would rate each on a scale 1-5: Secret Garden 4 Another One 3 Sergeant Pepper 3 Red Rush 2 Food wise, the winners were the pork chop and the arancini. Really solid dishes - I would gladly order either again. The mushrooms are considered a specialy for them and those were really interesting, too. We visited "Decade" for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming and the service was great. All of our questions were answered and we were given helpful recommendations as well. For our appetizer we chose ricotta agnolotti with ham and chicken in a picatta sauce. It was DELICIOUS. If you love capers this dish is for you! For our main courses we chose the pork chop and the braised beef parpadelle. We fairly enjoyed both with the pork chop being the winner by a very small margin. You can't go wrong with either! For desert I chose the crepe! It was WONDERFUL!! Heaven on a plate! Always a perfect meal!! Most underrated restaurant in Louisville! Whether you are a carnivore or vegan there is something for you. Chef is willing to accommodate and that is rare. As a vegan the black garlic mushrooms and side of broccoli were amazingly tasty with a deep umami flavor. My carnivore partner devoured her burger which was cooked to perfection and served with extra crispy fries. Wine selection is always perfect too. I can't wait to return! read more

Awesome experience this was a recommendation from a friend local to Louisville. We happen to get a last minute table for our party. Cocktails were unique and good. There were 8 of us so we tried a good portion of the menu. The focaccia was ohh so good. The carrot russet was different, baby beets were very fresh and sweet, the steak was cooked very well( medium rare) and perfectly seasoned , the pappadelle braised short ribs were on point. The Cacio e Pepe arancini was super rich.l, I recommend this as a share for a couple to try. The Porchetta was super juicy and flavorful. I think my favorite dish was the medium decade mushrooms. As with most places we found the outside is unassuming, but one your indoors your taken to a very well put together restaurant. The host and servers were very friendly and accommodating. I was supremely surprised with how much I enjoyed decade. I wasn't the biggest fan of decca. I thought portions were small and the meals I've had in the past were just okay. But decade has made me a believer. I came here in a Friday night with a friend and the ambiance was pretty good. Quite a loud restaurant for the size. The ambiance looked better when it got dark outside. The service was overall good. Our server was attentive and answered all of our questions. We got the arancini and it was so amazing. So flavorful and worth the trip alone. Also got the New York strip and it was a huge portion. I don't like fish so got the anchovy butter on the side. I didn't try it but the steak didn't need it. The steak was well cooked and flavorful. We also ordered the pound cake dessert. It was okay. I wouldn't recommend or order again. Overall I recommend and would come back. read more

This morning my husband said "I think that was the worst meal I have ever eaten." I was excited to have a date night at Decade after a friend hyped it and seeing good reviews online. My husband ordered the rabbit gnocchi in which there was almost no rabbit and was extremely salty. And after being told "the chicken takes 25 minutes but will be worth it!" it showed up dry as a bone. I could not eat it and I'm grateful the restaurant agreed and did comp it. We were very disappointed and will not return--- in this city we have so many great options. The focaccia bread is delicious and our server Katarina was excellent!!! read more

We made a reservation on Resy to celebrate my husband's birthday, marking our first visit to this restaurant. To our delight, it was also the debut night for their new happy hour specials. We tried the Pretty Woman cocktail, reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. The beer cheese with jalapeño potato chips was so delicious that I'm still thinking about it! For dinner, my husband ordered the grilled salmon from the large plates menu and loved the vibrant salsa verde. I opted for the Decade Single Beef Cheeseburger from the happy hour menu, which was just the right amount of food. The French fries were average, but everything else made up for it. Our service was excellent--attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. I love the ferns hanging out front. Came here for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Started with the arancini app - YUM. I unfortunately found myself not incredibly hungry after a late lunch that day, so I opted for a lighter dish (enter Carrot Risotto). I'd never had anything like it and I'm so glad I tried it - so unique and tasty! My husband got the half chicken and my mom the duck ragu- both were delicious and flavorful. I wish I could remember the name of the dessert because it was outstanding, but it's been a couple of months. It was a cold mousse-like dessert with a crumble base crust and caramel on top. Fantastic hidden restaurant in Nulu. More of a local place rather than touristy. The ambiance is very cozy and a bit "hipster". You can be dressed up or in more elevated lounge fit. The service is also very kind and helpful explaining everything. Focaccia bread and cheeseboard are my go to favorites. They usually have a locally berry marmalade/jelly also. The pastas are also excellent. I recently had a tauter and a seafood pasta dish. The seafood pasta definitely outshined the ragu. The cocktails are also great but very small. This is my only complaint. They are pretty small for the price. I'd recommend getting something simple or maybe some wine. read more

First and foremost, the food was outstanding. However, there were two things that bothered us. 1st, they asked if there was a special occasion for the reservation. (It was my wife's birthday). They asked again when we entered the restaurant AND the waiter re-asked when he appeared. We assumed my wife would be offered a free desert or something. Squadoosh! Nothing. 2nd, upon reviewing my bill, I noticed they charged me a 3% fee for using s credit card. Some establishment do charge a fee for credit cards, but they always inform the customer of the charge to give the customer a choice of using a debit card or using cash. Again, Squadoosh! No notice at all. The ambience of the restaurant is ok. The seats are well worn, leather is cracked, etc. The restaurant is rather cold and uninviting. Decade is a pretty hip setting and had been hoping to try for a while. It's not hard to get a table, but you might have to plan a little bit. I can get a bit loud and they definitely pack you tightly with the surrounding tables. The food is eclectic. Enjoyed a few shared apps, but the side of fresh foccia and roasted veggies were a nice pair. The stone fruit salad was dessert-like in its sweetness. We split pasta and a burger, but it was way too much food for two people. Entrees were good, but not particularly memorable. Our waiter was quick to recommend drinks, menu item, etc. but every phase of the meal was a bit slow to arrive. As my followers know, My wife and I are foodies, which means we have friends that are foodies. So on this particular night, we had a friend up from Atlanta and a few over from Indiana. No one had tried Decades before, so we headed over. After taking scan of the menu, and having no idea what we wanted, my wife deiced we would try everything from the large side of the menu, except the hamburger , and we did. We ordered our drinks and our most excellent server took care of our unusual request. I had enjoyed several Cloud Nones, while others in my party enjoyed their drinks. We ordered multiples of the small plates as appetizers. My personal favorite was the baby beets. We ordered a couple from the medium side. The Corn Risotto was very good. When our entrees came out, we started sharing and all the dishes were really good. I really liked the pork and chicken. All the others had great taste. By the lack of food left on any plate, I would say my dinning companies really enjoyed the food as well. We ordered dessert, and as with the rest of the food, all of it was very tasty. My only complaint is that I did not get enough to eat... Next time I do not think I will be sharing. read more

I made a reservation for 6:15 on a Wednesday but it was almost empty. The hype has prob died down. My friend said she came when they had just opened and had to make a reservation to get in. They were slammed! Anywho, it was pretty lowkey. A few groups here and there dining in. It's well-declared with art pieces and darker colors. Kinda cozy feel. They change the menu seasonally and our waiter mentioned that all the fall cocktails were just placed on the menu today. They had done a tasting just earlier. I forget the drinks we ordered, but I got something that had earl grey foam. My friend had two drinks: one that had clove and another that had ube. Delicious and refreshing! For the food, we shared all the dishes. We got the octopus with tomatoes and potatoes, focaccia bread, and a dish that looked like an elevated version of mozzarella sticks. Everything was beautifully presented. And it all tasted good! Unique flavors in each dish too. I was full despite it not seeming like much food. We opted for dessert just to try it. My friend hadn't had budino before so we chose that to share. Very rich! But they give you a small amount which is perfect. Loved it! Our server was really nice. They weren't busy so she checked up on us often. I'd come back to try other stuff off the menu. Parking around here is parallel. I struggled to find parking when 10 20 first opened but it seems it's not that hard to find parallel on weekdays. I parked right across the street. read more

The menu is ever-changing, with a strong emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients. So it's been a year since we've been here. This time was a great experience! Service was excellent! They had a live piano player that set the stage! We started with cocktails and the heirloom tomato salad. With the toasted seeds it was delicious! Next we both got a glass of white wine with our medium plates that we shared, we got the Cavatelli pasta dish and the Risotto dish both of which were fantastic! Instead of dessert we got the cheese plate which finished off the meal perfectly! Today we celebrated a decade of marriage at Decade! 10 years of marriage calls for good food. I was super excited to hear of a new restaurant in Louisville, especially with an ensemble of staff from some of my favorite local restaurants. We got there a little earlier than our reservation, but it was no problem and we were seated promptly. The atmosphere was fun, glad to see they kept most of the "bones" of butchertown grocery and added their own flare of artwork. Loved the dandelion painting. We ordered drinks, I was super excited to see some yummy fun non alcoholic drinks on the menu. Hubby got "The Blind Pig" Decades take on an old fashion, and we learned it was named after a previous restaurant that used to be in the same location. I got "happy together" a refreshing N/A drink that I would highly recommend. Dinner started off with a cast iron skillet focaccia. It was amazing! The sprig of rosemary and the sea salt on top... yum! We ordered a few plates so we could share. We did the roasted carrots with whipped feta. As someone who normally orders their meals minus the carrots I was pretty impressed. The carrots had a slight citrus taste that pairs perfectly with the feta. I could have at the whole plate myself. For the pasta course we went with the mafalde with a slow roasted pork...oh my heavens. A comfort food for sure, as it felt like it was giving your whole body a giant hug. And it had a tiny bit of a spicy kick that was unexpected but fantastic. Again, could have eaten the whole plate myself, I was sad when it was gone. To finish the dinner portion of our meal we had the half chicken in a verde sauce with beans. The chicken was so moist on the inside but crispy on the outside. It was a pretty perfectly cooked chicken. The sauce and beans were super flavorful and delicious. Lastly, but certainly not least...dessert. They offered two desserts, there were two of us...plus we needed to try them for this review, right?! So yes, we got two desserts, and I don't regret it at all. There was a strawberry shortcake made out of an olive oil cake. It was summer on a plate, I could have went back for seconds and 3rds. The other dessert had a fancy name that's escaping me so I apologize, but it was a butterscotch custard that was amazing, and very light. I would recommend either, but the custard was a bit lighter than the cake, go for it if you're feeling full but still want a dessert. The services was great, we never wanted for drinks and never had a dirty dish in the table for long. The team really seemed to help each other out. I can't wait to go back! There were so many things in the menu that sound delicious, it was honestly hard to choose but I'm very happy about the choices we made. read more

We absolutely enjoyed every aspect of our meal and I will be dreaming of the carrots we ate here; they were easily the best I've ever had in my life. We ordered a few small plates, two large plates, and I had a cocktail with our bill totaling around $143 per-tip. I loved the clean, intimate setting Decade provides and their dinner dish ware needs to be in every kitchen. We had phenomenal intra-course service and waiters will walk around and bus tables or refill waters whenever they aren't tending to their guests. I would absolutely recommend getting the Bucatini, the Focaccia, and the carrots!! My fiancé loved his filet and talked about the meal 5 times later that evening. Definitely check it out. read more

All 4 of us loved the food! Our waiter was AWESOME! If you want to feel like a king or queen you have to come here. They really take care of you. The food was expertly cooked and DELICIOUS. We had the marinated olives, beets, and shishito peppers for apps. All were on point yummy! The restaurant is pretty dimly lit and definitely has a romantic feel to it. My only recommendation to them would be to place small lights at each table so you can see the menu and your food. Other than that this is a future Michelin star place! Our hats are off to the chef. There were 4 of us, so it was fun ordering multiple plates to share among us. My favorite was the baby beets with smoked eggplant, pickled blueberries, sesame and Ricotta Salata. Every dish is a masterpiece well thought out and created so the flavors of all the ingredients balanced splendidly with each other. The ambiance is laid back yet classy, and our waiter was well versed in all the dishes and gave us a detailed description of each. If you want a meal that breaks away from standard restaurant fare, Decade is the place to go. No wonder it I was named one of USA Today's Best Restaurants of the Year. read more

A two evening dining date. Checking out the return on Decca as a new establishment Decade. It was definitely an excellent menu and cocktails a must try . Server suggested ordering a variety and sharing the food which is what we did. They weren't exactly family size portions but with the company, food, drinks and ambience, the evening just went by beautifully. Service was attentive and very knowledgeable about the ingredients which we enjoy. And for the amount of dishes we tried and shared amongst 4 person, we didn't end up spending too much more than if I had gone by myself and ordered a starter and entree. My suggestion is do two of each, veggie, pasta and meats if you can get a group of 4. The only neutral comment I have about a dish is the octopus - seems like half the dish was missing . read more
