Thai sliced beef mixed with a spicy cilantro lime sauce and served with lettuce wedges. This was sooooo good, it's so hard finding gluten free meals at restaurants but this will be my GO-TO when I come here!

This place is a must try!!! The food was delicious, the service was great. On a Friday night with a group of 9 they seated us under 20 minutes! Highly recommend. We had a lot more food but I forgot to take pictures.

Deckhand is consistently good. Oysters are always fresh and the pad Thai is a generous portion with great flavor. Service is always good even when they are busy (which is most of the time!)

I've been to this location a few times and the others as well but this one's closest to me in my honey so we have dinner there last night. Service was Stellar we got in really quickly even though it was very busy and were taking care of right away once we sat down. My partner's been coming here for years and he always gets the exact same thing which is the 10 piece shrimp basket with fries and a salad I on the other hand absolutely adore the Thai food as well as the Cajun & seafood items. Both are executed well. I LOVE the calamari salad with glass noodles. They had a special lumping style wggeoll appetizer I had to try. Fabulous! This is a staple in out repertoire.

Another great visit especially during Texas crawfish season. This place is a jam for casual seafood dining with twist of a southeast Asian flavors. We continue to enjoy their stable pad Thai dish along with their huge portion of Lao papaya salad. They use fresh Thai chili so make sure you order your spicy level with caution. Try their house sauce with half shelled oysters, your taste buds will go wild.

Great food! Good flavor and not too spicy. I had the oysters and the etouffe. Both delicious! My daughter had the crawfish and she loved them. Our server worked with us and came back often to ensure we were not wanting anything. The Ambiance was okay. There is indoor and outdoor seating. They are even ready for Christmas with there tree already up, or maybe not taken down. All tge same a good time.

This restaurant is located at Frontera next to the Salvation Army store. It is family friendly. It's typically packed and the staff is all friendly. It's a casual environment with dressing. Great place to watch sports as they have many TVs. The crawfish is available during season time you can tell them how spicy you want it or what add-ons you want to add to it. It's à la carte.. during the week they close at nine they are not open on Monday. Friday Saturday Sunday. They're open until 10 PM. Typically they close at 9 AM on other days.

This was a enjoyable journey for us... My husband and I found ourselves up in Austin for the day so we decided to go on a little adventure as this isn't exactly "in Austin", but more suburbia. He had worked in the area several times over the years and discovered Deckhand since his construction crew were staying at a hotel nearby. He kept telling me how much he enjoyed his meals there and wanted to share the experience with me. We had the Shrimp Diablo, broiled oyster sampler, and fried banana with ice cream. The menu is extensive with a wide variety. The family history of own gulf fishing boats is cool too. If you find yourself in the area, why not give Deckhand a try.

Went here to watch the first NFL game of the season. They had lots of TVs and the vibe was up. Our waitress was 10/10 very friendly and good at her job. The hostess was maybe having a bad day but the waitress made up for it heavy. We ordered the 3 pc catfish which came with fries and the spicy thai basil stir fry with pork and fried pickles. We also ordered some Fried pickles: 3/5 just average nothing special. They are spears which makes more room to be soggy but it wasn't overly salty which I appreciate. Catfish: 2/5 the fish had no seasoning and the fries tasted frozen and stale. Best part was the hush puppies. Spicy thai basil stirfry: actually solid spice but a little too salty and not enough rice for me. The egg was cooked nicely though. Service and vibe: 5/5 I would consider coming back here for a game but maybe would consider some other places too.

The oysters were good overall, though a few were a bit too salty. Some were topped with cheese and green onions, while another set came with tomatoes and cheese. Nice variety in toppings, though flavors could've been more balanced. The pad se ew a bit on too salty for me, but the noodle texture was good chewy and cooked just right. Tho, I don't recommend. The stir fry has a nice basil flavor to it. The sauce is similar to a sweet soy.

Only reviewing my order. Garlic shrimp - the sauce alone is worth it all! Shrimp size is NOT shrimpy. Delicious. I'd totally remove any cilantro in the rice. Not a fan.

My sister told me to do a pick up order for her and they told me it was $154.80. They gave me the food and there was a receipt attached with the total for $141.71 with tax included. I tipped in cash too!!! So I called them to ask why was I charged an extra 10 percent. They said it is 10 percent gratuity. Why didn't they mention this when my sister ordered or when I paid and gave them cash tip!! Will not be coming back anymore and will let friends and family know.

    Wendy Q.

I ordered crawfish, because yes it's the season!! And added potatoes and sausages, OMG, they were so good (ofc regular) because I can't do spicy. We also ordered fried and fresh oysters and they were a huge success in our table. You gotta TRY this restaurant out

I love that they had the whole roll of brown paper towels so we don't have to keep asking. The buckets are super helpful to clear out the soft shells of the shrimp instead of piling on a plate. The FLAVOR is ALWAYS ON POINT!!! We even tried the other location but the Round Rock location beats it! We always go for date night. It's much lower priced than @Boiling Crab & taste 100x better than their soggy shrimp! Hook & Reel is just a hard pass... it's not flavorful. LA Crawfish is not good & Krab Kings is overpriced for mid food. I make my own seafood boils & ppl would rather buy from me than go to the other locations. Surfin Crab is the only one who beats me! Most times I can't even get a pic because we dive in! Oooh & food is always fast!

So here we are, Party of 2 arrived at 7:30pm. The restaurant was busy, we put our name on the list and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar and we were greeted immediately. The bartender is so nice and just always does such a great job. I've been here a few times and she's always been there with a smile, no matter how busy it is. We ordered drinks and a couple appetizers, the coconut shrimp and the buffalo shrimp. Nothing special, just fried shrimp. I also ordered the side of the hush puppies, I always get hush puppies if they're on the menu. They were good, small but good. He ordered the seafood soup, it's a large portion, red broth with lots of seafood and veggies. He liked it! I ordered the Salmon dish. Came with rice and steamed veggies. I couldn't eat it all because the salmon was way too well done and dry. :( Overall, fun and friendly environment!!! We'll be back on a Friday for sure, sit at the bar, and we'll try some different dishes.

From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, her customer service was impeccable. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. As if the food and service weren't enough, we also had the pleasure of meeting the owners and their mom. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about their food. Mom even shared the story behind her famous Swamp Grits recipe and recommended that we come back and try her gumbo. Needless to say, we'll be back this weekend to try both the gumbo and the Swamp Grits again--along with more crawfish! Hands down, Down South Cajun Eats is one of the best-kept culinary secrets just outside of Austin. As a family-owned restaurant, it has a welcoming, community feel and when the DJ gets going on weekends or R&B/Soul nights on Fridays, the place really comes alive. It's definitely a go-to for celebrations, birthdays, or a fun night out with friends. The seafood dishes deliver on that authentic Cajun flavor, seasoned well and satisfying for anyone craving Southern comfort food with a kick.
