It seems like most people come here for the crawfish and beer which looks equally tasty if you get a good batch. My family and I ordered more of the fusion items like the Tom Yum Noodle Soup (which was huge and had plenty of protein!), Papaya Salad (spicy & non-spicy), grilled oysters, etouffee, and popcorn shrimp. The inside of the bar has plenty of tables, most of them can seat 4-6 people. Upon entering the establishment, you'll be greeted at the front. While our waitress was nice, the employees are as slow as molasses. Not one employee had a pep in their step or appeared to be happy at work. It all started when I attempted to order a Diet Coke. The bartender told me they did not have diet. I asked what kind of soda's they had and he told me "bad ones." He then said they had "Rite Aid" soda and told us we should not order a soda. I took this to mean their soda tasted like medicine. So, we both went with water. My son's water had stuff at the bottom of the glass, the glass was filthy! We had already ordered by this time, so we we tried to make the best of it. as we sat their waiting, I noticed that one meal at a time was coming out to tables. Tables with 4, 5 or 6 people might get one or two meals then the other plates were coming out 5 minutes later. Those who waited to eat for the others to get their food had cold food by the time they ate. At about 40 minutes, 1/2 dozen of our oysters came out. They were the ones I ordered. They told us the others were coming right out. My son told me to eat and I did. They were cooked oysters that were Luke warm at best. More than 20 minutes later we still had no other food. We finally tracked down our waitress and she said she would go check. A while passed and she came back and said they had run out and had to cook more oysters and that the rest would be coming out soon. She also said due to the crap in the water, and the long wait her manager was comping our meal. She also said the rest of the oysters were on their way and the manager was going to come talk to us. Well, about 10 minutes later we got 1 dozen of oysters, but were still missing 1/2 dozen of one flavor. The manager NEVER came and talked to us. There was little to NO communication by staff, they walk around like zombies. Save your money and don't go here! I for one would never go back. I will say they had a good flavor but the service sucked, the floors were dirty, the table they sat us at still had the check from the previous party who had sat there and had not been wiped down. read more

But today, I got the Deckhand Garlic Shrimp (SO FREAKING GOOD!). The sauce, which is a sautéed Asian style garlic sauce (it's very sweet + kinda thick) was the best part. I didn't really care for the rice or the green beans it came with, but the broccoli was good! My dad got the Fried Catfish, which he always gets and he loves it. We got boudin (the JT) as a appetizer and it was so dang good I forgot to get a photo for the review lol outside of the food, we were greeted immediately upon entering and was able to get a seat immediately. It does get packed around lunch time but the food is delicious so that makes sense. Great service from the waitress as well. Their fish and shrimp are also uniquely prepared and delicious. They also have oysters. It's in the name of the restaurant, and they deliver! I had no idea there were so many kinds of oysters! We've been going here since it was a smaller location just down the street. They've since moved into a larger, newly built building just on the frontage road. While it no longer has that intimate, dive oyster bar feel, the newer space is more open and comfortable. And the people and food make it just as fun! Sit at the bar on a Friday evening around happy hour and you'll have a great time! Their fried food is awesome rivaling even the best seafood restaurants, oysters are super tasty, and the Asian side of the menu is equally delicious.
