Love this place! Its really small, and I have seen it busy, but I usually go during non peak times. Their cuticle work is amazing, and my manicures last up to two weeks. I can't say enough good things about Decor. They took me in for a mani/pedi 15 minutes before closing despite not being a regular and proceeded to give me an excellent fill-in and pedicure without rushing despite it being the end of their day. Mai fixed the terrible job that had been done at another salon and Lena gave me one of the best foot rubs during my pedicure I've had in ages! As for the reviewer who commented on the "ghastly" wax treatment - it's a parafin dip and fabulous. That reviewer obviously hasn't been to many high end nail salons. Normally salons charge extra, but it's included in the basic pedi at Decor! Decor is not in my neighborhood, but I'll be traveling to see Mai and Lena when I'm in town! Great find! read more

I arrived at Decor Nails & Spa about 30 minutes before they closed on a Sunday (first time at this salon) and they fit me right in for a gel manicure. The place was busy but there was plenty of room for everyone and an open seat for me to jump into. My manicurist was fabulous! My previous gel was difficult to get off, but she was diligent in ensuring everything came off. She did a wonderful job with filing and now almost 2 weeks later my gel is still completely in tact (no chips!). They prefer cash tip. I will definitely be going back there again. read more

Went here b/c my beloved nail salon closed!! (So sad!) Really enjoyed the 3 ladies that did my mani/pedi! They did an excellent job & it felt great! It was crazy on a Friday afternoon at 3:45! The salon is cramped and chaotic! The owner's (I think) 2 children were running around eating Popsicles! There wasn't room for kids to be there! Polishes also looked old. I was very suprised at how rude the staff here was. I came in with my mother to get my nails done for my wedding. The woman told us there was a 30 minute wait. We weren't in a hurry so we started to sign in when she gave us a dirty look and said "i said the wait is 30 minutes" ... she gave us such a dirty look that we decided to leave and won't be back. I went to Decor for the first time and was satisfied with my visit. I was the only one there at the time which was good for me. I received excellent service by the owner, Mai. She was very friendly and detail-oriented. I told her it was my first time there so maybe she was just trying to impress me. I went for a fill-in and wanted white tips. The paint job wasn't the best but the nails were free of lumps and they still look good. Either way, her customer service will likely get a return customer out of me. read more

Worst customer service I have ever had. I paid for a pedicure and when I returned back to my office realized my feet still had a TON of dead skin on them. I called them back and was advised to return. Once o returned was told that will be five more dollars to remove dead skin. Last I checked that was the point of paying 30 bucks for a pedicure. They do a great job on gel polish for finger nails -- but the polish on my pedicure is always messed up. It seems the top coat they put on mushes up the polish and if you look at it carefully it looks terrible! Other than that, everything is nice and they do a good job. read more

The staff is polite and accommodating. The spa isn't the most expensive nor the cheapest yet the quality of nail polish isn't there. My nails lasted about 2 days max before most were chipped. The quality has gone down hill. read more

I got a pedicure and gel manicure. They took their time with the pedicure and it felt amazing. They did my gel manicure from the massage seat. I didn't have to move at all. It was amazing. This was my first time going. I got SNS and loved it yet it only lasted one week. Two nails fell right off yesterday so I went back and got them fixed. Today my thumb nail just fell straight off too. I get SNS because they last longer than gel and I've never had my SNS nails fall off in one piece. I'm going out of town today and now i have a missing nail. Not good quality. Do not recommend SNS. read more

IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARTS I WOULD. DISREGARD THR OTHER REVIEWS! This was the WORST experience I've ever had. I had a manicure on before that needed to be soaked off but some of my nails had come off prior so FOUR of my nails were in the tin foil for about an hour because no one wanted to help me. Once someone came over they thought I needed more time!! oh I forgot to mention people who came after me were being helped before me. Not sure the method there. After the hour and a half of having nothing done to my nails I decided that I just wanted to get the f*** out of there so way over an hour later they charged me 10 dollars to take off 4 nails. The second lady who helped me kept complaining about how the gel on my nails were too hard to get off and kept on asking me how did my former salon take my nails off. It became annoying! Don't bother making reservation. We waited 25 minutes for ours. When asked why they weren't ready he offered no apology and said "they got busy". My three friends were done with their mani AND pedi before I was done with my pedi. And someone had to come clean up after the terrible job the first girl did. You get what you pay for. I really liked this place until I came back the next day for repair and they took 5 customers ahead of me and made me wait. I waited 30-45 minutes before i just walked out. not only was it an inconveniemce for me to have to return for repair but i I paid $60 for my original service and I didn't notice the nail tech messed up my big and 3rd toe until I got home. I politely walked out and said "I'll come back" but decided the character of the owners spoke for itself. A customer is a customer and my time is as valuable as anyone else's. I will not be returning!!! This place has nice staff but they need a course in professionalism. There are millions of nails places in the area there is one in south end and also easy blvd that I like plus there are 2 polished nail bars both less than 10 minutes from here.... This has been my favorite go-to salon to get my nails done. I always thought the staff was very friendly and I was always happy with the service and end product. However, last time I went there, I got a STAPH INFECTION!!! I then called to inform them (not even to ask for a refund!) just so they could be aware and prevent it from happening again - and the person on the phone actually told me that I must be wrong and probably got it somewhere else!! They didn't even apologize, but instead said there have never been any past complaints so it can't be right. However, the doctor I saw who had to prescribe me antibiotics does believe I contracted it there. Infections sometimes happen at nail places so I wasn't that upset at first, but their reaction to it really bothered me. They didn't care that they had infected equipment and weren't going to do anything about it. I am never going back to this salon and neither is anyone I know. read more

I had a terrible experience at Decor Nails & Spa. Despite having read the positive reviews and having a personal referral, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The lady, who I presume is the owner (her table is to the far left along the back windows), was EXTREMELY ROUGH with my nails. To the point that she broke my natural nail (with acrylic overlay) completely off. I wanted to cry. She offered no apology and attempted to blame what she had done on me. She then began speaking in her native tongue and laughing with the other women in the shop. Her technique was also extremely limited for someone who should be the most experienced person in the shop. If your nails are anything more than short, natural, and basic - do not waste your time with this place. She even told me that they typically "charge extra for long nails," but that she would make an exception this time. My nails are nowhere near freakishly long! Ugh. I cannot stress enough what a horrible experience I had at Decor Nails & Spa. read more

Have to admit not the best atmosphere. Went on a Saturday and it was packed felt rushed through. But the manicure and pedicure were great. I judge places on how long the polish lasts and my gel manicure was still perfect over a week later. I recently visited Decor nail salon, and at first I began forming a positive view of the place, however it didn't end that way. I was charged 35 dollars for a new acrylic set after the nail technician nicked several of my fingers, then sliced open my pinky with a buffer to the point it was bleeding. The lady seemed to be experienced, but she was looking around paying attention to everything else, except the customer sitting in front of her (me). When we were finished, I paid 35 dollars plus tip and left in pain. Won't be returning. read more

This place is great for a manicure but do not get a pedicure!!! I usually go for manicures and polish changes and decided to try for a pedicure. Both times, the pedicure was mediocre and the polish on the toes looked worst than when I do it. I liked this place because of their great polish selection but if you can't polish my toes better than me, I will do it myself or find another spot. The time spent on your feet isn't great either. They just rush through and spend way too much time giving the massage than actually working on your feet. I may be back for polish but if I can't get both hands and feet, what's the point? read more
