I came here to drink some margaritas, not to eat. We sat at the bar, ordered and enjoyed our drinks. The crowd was slim, there was a party at a table, a couple sitting next to us staying at the hotel, two men at the other end of the bar. The margaritas were good, I ordered a more crafty one while my GF ordered a house one. The basic one was better than mine and that kinda ticked me off. How can this be? Anyway, the ambiance was OK, we asked for to-go cups but that was not allowed. OK. Bye.

Nothing I like less than waitstaff who doesn't know the menu well. I am extremely accustomed to East Coast hospitality , it's different here but the service was efficient just not particularly chatty or informative about the menu. Central location in downtown Santa Fe with very reasonable prices. I ordered the green chile pesto chicken sandwich, nothing particularly different about it .. the chicken was a little dry. Nice ambiance though and great location.

One of the two glasses of the house margarita we split. We also had another glass worth in the shaker!

We had a great experience at Del Charro! The stuffed sopapillas were my favorite of the trip. The house Margaritas was the best value for drinks I had the whole trip! I split one with my wife and they gave us the shaker. I wanted to go back multiple times for the margaritas and suggested it every night! Too bad there were too many other places people wanted to try.

We wanted a green chili cheeseburger and were sent here by another bartender. The drinks are huge and strong. I liked the prickly pear one. We both had a green chili cheeseburger burger. The meat was fabulous. Perfectly cooked, Smokey, juicy, fatty. Everything I want in a burger. The green chilis could have been hotter for my taste but they were flavorful and there were lots. I'd definitely go back for the value and flavor. Worth hitting up for a cocktail. Great location. Clearly a locals favorite.

Went in for lunch on a Saturday, it wasn't too crowded and there was no wait to sit. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I ordered the stuffed Sopaipillas, which were very tasty, my husband ordered the carne asada tacos which also were very good. Warm friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend

One of the few places I found open at 8-9PM. I got the stuffed green chile cheeseburger. The burger itself was very good, but that green chile relish was amazing! I was also raving about the fries. There's a certain type of fry I like, and that was it. If I could get a plate of fries with 2 ramekins of that green chile relish to use as dip, I 100% would.

Del Charro is the restaurant connected to Inn of the Govenors, the hotel we stayed at while vacationing in Santa Fe. I wanted to love it, but really I loved the atmosphere, liked the margaritas, and didn't much care for the food. I went to Del Charro for drinks twice, dinner and drinks once, and breakfast three times, as they serve the free breakfast to hotel guests in the dining room each morning. We went to Del Charro for margaritas as soon as we arrived in Santa Fe, as we waited for our hotel room to be ready. My friend ordered the house margarita and I had the prickly pear. Both were good, and not too sweet. The house margarita is large in size, and has a good balance of mixers and tequila. I loved the atmosphere. All of the locals seemed to be drinking there at that time, and we were able to chat with some different people. Breakfasts were made to order for hotel guests, and we were given a choice of about 6 different options. I enjoyed it the day I chose the omelette, but the other days I found it to be greasy. When we had dinner there, I used my Yelp check-in order for free chips, salsa and guac. That caused some trouble as they had no idea what I was talking about. Also, strangely enough, in Santa Fe, restaurants seem to charge for chips and salsa. In the end, we were able to get free chips and salsa, but no guac. I also thought that the chips were broken up and messy on the plate. I'm glad we did not pay for them. My friend and I both ordered the enchiladas, which were served with rice and beans. We ordered the sauce Christmas-style (red and green). What we received were plates of food full of sauce that hid what we were eating. We couldn't really differentiate the enchiladas from the sides. It was sort of messy and the flavors all ran together. I also had one margarita there just as I was waiting for my ride to the airport. Again, the drink was good. They played old school country, which felt very fitting for the atmosphere. It felt relaxed and peaceful in the bar. All in all, I would recommend Del Charro for drinks. The bar is a nice place to sit and chat. I would describe the food as passable.

Located inside Inn of the Governors, this saloon-themed restaurant offers a spot for both locals, tourists, and those just passing through town (like me!). We were at an event at Meow Wolf, and since it was late, we found out on Yelp that Del Charro's kitchen is open late (they're open until midnight, though I'm not sure exactly when the kitchen closes). We sat in the dining room (complete with a fireplace), but there's also bar seating in the saloon area. Food ranges from caesar salad and nachos to chicken enchies and burgers. My colleague went for the stuffed green chile cheeseburger (it was huge!) and I ordered the chicken nachos (also yuuge). Service was verrry slow, and no one really checked in during our meal... I had to close out my tab with another server on our way out. :/

Extremely rude service and not very good food. Drinks are okay but I will not be returning due to the rude employees.

Bad service, stale and over salty food. Too bad we don't have too many alternatives to this place for late night dining in our town.

We usually stay at the Governors so of course we're going to hang at Del Charro. Relaxed with good drinks and good service as usual.

They don't take reservations and although it was very busy we were seated within 10 minutes. My friends raved about the "swirl" margaritas (Santa Fe classic, apparently) so we got a frozen margarita flight. We were able to adjust the drinks in the flight- they even made me a frozen spicy margarita although that wasn't technically on the menu. Very helpful wait staff. We shared the flautas and loaded nachos. Both were rich but fantastic. We asked for both with a side of green chiles (highly recommend). The flautas came with sopaipillas which were fresh, soft and YUMMY. (They even brought two more when we asked!) This is a vibrant place to come for special occasions or even a nice family dinner. Highly recommend especially if you're visiting!

Would never come back again. ============= This review got flagged by Yelp HQ, let me rewrite this and be clear of what happened. I walked into El Callejon Taqueria and Grill, located on 208 Galisteo St Santa Fe, NM 87501 on Aug 22 2026. It was on a Saturday night, right before 9pm. This was my first weekend in the city of Santa Fe, on both Yelp and Google this location shows the restaurant closes at 11pm. When I walked in the bartender told me that it was closed. I wouldn't care that a business is closed before the listed hours; it was the way the bartender went about it. He could have politely told me that the kitchen was closed, and I would not have had any problem with it. He walked up to me within arm's length and continuously repeated "sorry we are closed" multiple times while getting closer to me. It was one of the worst experiences I have had to get escorted "asked" out of a restaurant. The experience was not good. To be clear I never get to try the food here.
