Stopped in here for dinner last night. Ordered a frozen margarita. Although the server kinda warned that a frozen margarita would taste watered down, I have had many frozen margaritas before that tasted just fine. This one didn't. Was just missing that taste you expect from a margarita. Ordered the nachos for appetizer (could have made a meal out of them alone). They were quite good and the server was willing to customize them. Ordered the Yucatan Style Chicken Enchiladas. They were ok, not great. The "chicken" was so dark that it kinda looked like beef so I'm sure it wasn't chicken breast ... which I would have preferred. Once I got to the middle of the first enchilada, I noticed that the temperature was not hot and the cheese didn't really seem to be fully melted. A mediocre Enchilada. Again points to the server/chef for willingness to omit the black beans for me. I think the staff and the manager are very anxious to please, but I think the food is kinda just ok. read more

Not impressed. The service was mediocre at best. The food was alright. I had the steak tacos and they were ok. Nothing really stood out for me. The drinks were good not the best not the worst. I can officially write a review. Been here 3 times. Had the same waiter twice. The service here is amazing. Drinks are never empty (my pet peeve when dining out) our food came out in a good time, and our dishes were all good. My kids are addicted. Me? My husband and I went here with a gift card. We never ate at Del Fuego's before and couldn't wait to try it out. We were unaware of their happy hour specials, so when we had a conversation with our waitress about ordering margaritas, you would have thought she would have filled us in on the specials. But she didn't so we went ahead and ordered a pitcher. When we got the bill the pitcher was $60!!!!!! I've never ordered a pitcher of margaritas that cost that much, they've always been around $30 ish...that's why I didn't ask the cost. Came in for the first and last time Monday night. Had a great cocktail then got the free chips and salsa. Chips are ok but the salsa tasted burnt to me. Asked the bartender if I could have quueso instead and was told I had to be charged for an appetizer amount. Said I didn't care. Took 15 minutes for the queso and it was grainy and didn't want to complain again. Ordered a burger from the menu and asked for lettuce tomato and onion. Wad told wr don't know if we have it. 25 minutes later got my burger and fries with no silver ware or napkins until I was heard complaining on the phone to a friend. And when I went to eat it there was a green mold spot on the top bun. Asked for the manager and he tried to deny what it wad Then I showed another customer and they agreed it was mold. I have visited Del Fuego on a regular basis over the past couple of years, however, after my visit today that will be the last time. It took 90 minutes for appetizers to hit the table and it was barely moderately busy. This wasn't the problem though - it was our server Nicole who was extremely rude and unfriendly. Been here a few times for casual drinks at the bar and some nachos. The bartender Michelle is a sweetheart. Drinks are strong and the food, what I've had is yummy, but the ground meat in the nachos is a little sweet for my liking. Really good cheese quesadilla. They have a well put together menu, which is a nice selection of your traditional Mexican entrees. The place itself is decently sized but it may be hard to get a table or seat at the bar on a Friday or Saturday night, which is standard for the village of Patchogue restaurants. But the a/c like stop working on the left side we had already ordered food n drinks so we ask if we can sit at table just behind us to the right where it was alittle cooler but the barmaid on the right was like well if you sit there your going to have to order a guacamole side . Came here about the end of November with my 3 friends on $5 margarita night. We all had a meal and a few drinks. We were then cut off and being told we need to order more food to drink. We all work in the industry and have never ever heard of that before. How can you tell 4 people who just ate full meals that they need to order more food? Then was told we need proof of an Uber home, I had 2 drinks! My friend was also at another table and had a similar experience that night. I didn't realize they opened another one here in Patchogue. We had been to St James a few times over the last few years. Came in for a quick bite and some drinks last night. Started off with a classic and strawberry margarita. For $11 (strawberry), this drink was incredibly disappointing even with the happy hour discount priced at $9. I don't know if its how they make em or perhaps the ingredients, but something is off. I wouldn't have bought a 2nd round even if the drink cost as little as $3. Food on the other hand was good. They start you off like most mex or texmex spots with free chips and salsa. The salsa I really enjoyed and seemed to be roasted. Chips were good. On Tuesdays most tacos cost $11 (discounted from as high as $15). You get 3 per order. The brisket taco and ground beef were my favorites of the 3 I tried. Id definitely get both again. I came here with my family for lunch today despite the plethora of choices in downtown Patchogue. It was absolutely one of the best Tex mex meals I have had in ages. First off I love a place that gives you chips and salsa to start the meal. Second this place has major curb appeal inside and out...well done. Lunch specials were a home run and definitely a great deal. Everything was cooked perfectly and was loaded with great flavor. I can't wait to go back without the kids to try a flight of Tequila. As for the negative reviews... Dismiss them. Order Tex Mex...if you want a burger go to a burger place. These naysayers probably order lasagna from red lobster. SMH. read more

del fuego is amazing, the different hot sauces on the table made the meal to be honest. I must have tried like fourteen different hot sauces before leaving. The honey bbq wings were good, very sweet. I couldnt have asked for better service while there. People more than the waiter was seeing if we were doing okay - always love that in a restaurant. For what they give you, I think the prices are absolutely reasonable. The only negatives, it was so packed on a Friday night, but I guess that's typical for anywhere. What can I say about Del Fuego? Great food, fantastic staff and amazing drinks. I love bringing friends and family here because the prices are reasonable and the service is always so friendly. A great spot for both happy hour with the girls or to bring the kids for dinner. A personal favorite of mine is the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla, yum! As far as drinks go, the Pineapple Express and blackberry margs are to die for. Another cool aspect about this place is that each night they have a different featured special (margarita Monday, taco Tuesday, wing Wednesday ect...) 4.50 for a margarita all day on Monday's?!! Sign me up! You can have a great night for 20 dollars! Stopped in for lunch recently. Decided to sit at the bar & order a couple of margaritas while looking over the menu. Bartender bought over complimentary chips and salsa, chips were good but could have been a little crispier, salsa was very hot but very good. We ordered the tropical guacamole to go with our chips n salsa. It was fresh & delicious with little chunks of pineapple & mango in it. We decided to order the steak fajita wrap & the chicken fajita wrap with fries, both wraps were great & the fries were super crispy & tasty. For "dessert" we decided to give the white sangria a try & boy are we glad we did !! it was such a light refreshing drink. Perfect ending to our lunch. The had a nice size bar with plenty of seating & TV's. Great selection of beers on tap. Del Fuego is a great addition to Main St Patchogue. Looking forward to coming back again very soon. read more

To start we walked in and we're seated the place was pretty dark and empty because it was a Monday night we asked to be moved and they didn't accommodate... at all... So we ordered off of the one menu they put on the table for the four of us which had salsa on it.. yuck! The food was mediocre I had lobster quesadilla.. it was good but no trace of lobster, should have gotten a chicken one instead. As far as the drinks. My hubby ordered a Michalada (spelling sorry) the menu describes it beautifully with spice on the rim and all, nope no rim job... we had to ask for the next one to come with it... ‍ I ordered a special margarita with pineapple and strawberry... yuck.... DECOR: a desert, mexican theme decor and a good amount of seating. Large bar. FOOD: Complimentary chips and Salsa are given at the time u sit. Salsa was good, had a nice flavoring to it. Ordered the Beef Brisket Empanadas and Guacamole & chips for apps. Beef Brisket Empanadas were huge! 2 empanadas the size of my hands. They had a great texture, very flaky and crispy outside with the hot and cheesy inside. I did wish it had a bit more spice to it though but it was still delicious. Guac was good, standard. Ordered Taco Trio and Quesadilla for dinner. The tacos I chose were Carne Asada, Mesquite Chicken, and Pulled Pork, they came with rice and beans on side. The tacos were sooo good! I am picky when it comes to my tacos, I want a lot of flavor and some great texture. The tacos were packed with great flavor and toppings like crispy corn and sweet cabbage gave it that great texture. Quesadilla was equally as good, pretty big size too. DRINK: ordered a knob creek and coke, margarita, and mojito. The knob creek and coke & the margarita were really good - they had a good amount of alcohol and were worth the price. Mojito had good flavor but didn't taste like much alcohol was in it. SERVICE: our waiter Danielle was great, she was quick and efficient and friendly. The food came out so quickly and she continued to check on us throughout the meal. Overall I really can't think of a reason to give this place less than 5 stars. Love del Fuego ! I ate there Friday night with two friends then Saturday I was craving it again so I ordered it via door dash after I got done dashing myself lol. The Buffalo chicken empanadas were amazing on Friday when we dined in! Love their chips and salsa and their classic burrito. Tonight our delivery person forgot to bring us our margaritas even tho the restaurant gave them to her. Del Fuego was so helpful and sweet in helping us get our drinks redelivered quickly. This place just opened recently and it is awesome! The place is beautifully decorated to match the Tex-Mex theme. They have a ton of tequila at the bar, loads of different hot sauces to add on to any meal, craft beer, and the sangria is a must try! Complementary chips and salsa are brought to your table when you sit and they have specials for every day of the week...I can't seem to remember but when I went on a Thursday it was "Nacho Average Thursday" which was half off the nacho platter. Their menu is pretty large which could be worrisome but everything that we've ordered from here has been delicious! I tend to not stray away once I find something I like, and their Surf & Turf burrito is amazing! It's packed with streak and shrimp, rice and beans, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. We've also tried their Carnitas Enchaladas which was a huge plate of 3 enchaladas packed with shredded pork which was drenched in cheese and sauce. The service is great and everything seems to be served super quick no matter how packed they are. I think this place is a great addition to Pachogue, and it should do well! The food was absolutely great, but the service was terrible. My friends and I sat at the bar and the bartender was just having the worst day ever I guess. We ordered food and drinks and stayed friendly with her, but the entire time she was rude and unaccommodating to anything at all. First beer was warm n drinks were made like she wanted us to leave. We didn't dare ask for replacements tho because of the energy she was giving as soon as we sat down. As much as I have empathy for people in the service business having a bad day, because I too work with the public at a service job, if you can't be kind to people being nice to you through your crappy attitude you had no business showing up to work that day.
