The resturaunt made a mistake on a friend's order but let him keep the dish to try while they made a new one- I door dashed the quesadilla to my home and took the leftovers to work the next day- while at work I almost broke my tooth on a chicken bone the length of my pinky finger. I refrain from eating meat most of the time due to how its cooked and having bad experiences- but now I will be taking another longggg break again from trying to overcome my fear. This place was great. The food was delicious and when they didn't have what I ordered they offered an amazing substitution and did not charge me for my meal. My wife has celiac and the gluten free options were great and she didn't get sick which is not always a given. You can put in for the amount you would like the card to be, then you would choose payment option.I chose Paypal, and the site will direct you to paypal-after confirming payment amount with Paypal, the Delfuego site brings you back to the exact same order screen. No confirmation.Nothing that indicates you will ever receive your card. Doesn't ask for an email, mailing address, nothing. I called the restaurant and the manager was wonderful in resolving my issue. She will mail me the card. The website needs some work. During COVID, when restaurants were closed, I would've paid a thousand dollars to eat at literally any restaurant. Now I find myself in an odd predicament: Del Fuego made me wish things were closed again. Worst service of my life by a waitress named Felicia. She was rude, made our whole table feel unwelcome, and we had to keep tracking her down. Del Fuego itself is a great place - and I understand it isn't easy to find great service right now - but I hope they can do better to keep people returning. I don't get it, guys. I keep trying to like Del Fuego Patchogue and they keep disappointing me. I've been there enough times to know it's not just a bad day or me ordering the wrong thing. Ok, the drinks are good (but expensive!) but the burritos straight up suck. And so do the yucca fries--eww. They're so so so flavorless. While the array of hot sauces at the table is pretty cool, I don't feel like my meal should just be a flavorless vehicle for sauce. The hot sauce should be an accompaniment, not a thing that takes the place of missing ingredients. The taco trio is good and the nachos are good too, but neither is life-changing. Also, the service is BAD. Something always--literally ALWAYS--gets messed up. Last time the server brought me the total wrong meal, and even though I was super nice and understanding about sending it back, he still didn't take anything off the bill! Annoying. Met a friend for dinner and drinks last night. We sat at the bar. The chips and salsa were really good and they refilled them for us when we asked. Bartender was attentive and asked if we wanted to take advantage of happy hour before it expired in the next few minutes. We did. Fish tacos were uninspired, but good. Lots of vegetation and not much fish, but tasty, and the beans and rice were good. My friend enjoyed his burrito. With the vast amount of Mexican restaurants around the area, there's nothing special about this one. Trued on 3 occasions to contact someone from there main company no return calls. Wasted $160. I came on a Saturday night with a few friends to celebrate a special occasion, and mannn was it packed. Get ready to wait if you come here on the weekend. The good thing is they have a huge bar you can go to while you wait for your table. I had to wait 1 hr and a half for my table. I ordered a regular ole' margarita while I was waiting and instantly fell in love. Beware- they charge 4 extra dollars just for strawberry flavoring! When we finally got to our table they immediately brought over delicious chips and salsa, and since we were hungry they were super quick to refill our chips. I ordered the steak quesadilla just because I was in the mood for it, and it was amazing. 4 huge slices so I had leftovers for the next day. Came here on a Saturday night to celebrate a special occasion with some friends. Called ahead and was told there probably wouldn't be much of a wait around 7:30. Unfortunately, the wait was about 90 minutes. Waited at the bar and got drinks quickly, which was great. Super loud place, definitely wouldn't come here on a date. I'm giving Del Fuego 4 stars because the meal I had was awesome. I tried the buffalo chicken burrito minus the mango and the side salad was incredible. The burrito itself was huge and definitely satisfies me. The service for the place being packed was fine. I'll definitely be back but not around dinner time. read more

I went there this afternoon on a whim to grab some Mexican food and boy was I disappointed. Our server Christin was fantastic but the food left us not wanting to go back. For appetizer We had the BBQ pulled pork wontons which were dry and way over cooked. For dinner we had the lobster Quesadilla which was ok but did not have much meat, the mahi Mahi tacos which rated about the same. My niece had the chicken quesadilla off the kids menu and she said it was ok but was dry and I had the taco trio which consisted of my choice of 1 steak taco which had absolutely no flavor and 2 brisket tacos. The brisket tacos well what can I say but Salsa Salsa in Smithtown makes an absolutely FANTASTIC brisket taco. Actually, if I would have to do it all over again We would definitely take the drive to SALSA SALSA in Smithtown because overall the food Including the drinks are so much better then what we had in Del Fuego. read more

I went to Del Fuego tonight for dinner with my boyfriend and they unfortunately got my order wrong . I wanted a chicken burrito not a quesadilla. The manager brought the burrito out right away and gave me her apology's. I really appreciated that great customer service. Sometimes when you go places and things like this happen and they just don't care to help. They helped and did one step further by buying my drink . Came here a few nights ago with my friend and his girl girlfriend and first things first, the waitress that we received made it seem like she was rushing us with our food order and drink order. 15 minutes into our visit (especially since it was my first time going) she left and we then received a better and nicer waitress. If was our fault that we got there a little late and they were wrapping things up but we could've gotten a warning and not a snobby waitress. What I had to eat was their shredded beef burrito with fries, it was beyond delicious! I know for a fact that I will most certainly come back and hopefully enjoy a better stay. We came during happy hour on a Thursday to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. Although, the place was empty the service was still terrible. The waiter that took our order went MIA. My daughter ordered enchiladas without meat. They served her them with meat. They took them back and brought out new cheese enchiladas. Still charged us the same 19.50 for pork. Charged extra for a side of range. The happy hour specials didn't apply to the drinks we ordered. The waiter knew we were looking for the specials and directed us to the margarita menu, then charged regular price. The manager took of 1 drink when we mentioned it but we still were over charged. Service was terrible! Bartender was extremely rude and unfriendly. We were a party of 4 and everyone's food came out in rounds. The first two people were served a couple minutes apart from one another. The last two people got there food about 20 minutes after the others were served. They didn't even say your food will be coming out shortly or anything. The fajita wrap I had was watery and the wrap was drenched.
