Came here for a team lunch. We ordered a bunch of appetizers - Brussels Sprouts, Bread, and Calamari. The Calamari was decent, not the best. Also ordered a few salads and pizzas. These dishes were really good, and I especially liked the Margherita with Burrata. Very tasty. The place filled up quickly for lunch which was a good sign. Great food, service, and atmosphere! So glad to have a Delarosa so close to home. City vibes in the burbs with delicious food. The steak skewer was melt in your mouth magic and the Margherita pizza was scrumptious; thin but not burnt, cheesy but not too cheesy, and just the right amount of sauce. And decent sized, too! So Yummy! We went here for a date night, and this place was great! Outdoor seating only for now but it was nice! Started with a yummy Cesar salad with kale and Romaine, then had the Burrata Pizza that was delish! Only down fall was the 20 minute wait for my glass of vino that was a very very low pour. I've been twice now in the last month and both times it's been amazing. The food is so good, I'm obsessed with the butternut squash ravioli. Really good pizza and drinks but great setting at the City Center especially with this weather to hang out with friends or family.

My family and I visited about a month back and I'm just writing the review now. It was not a great experience. The service was very slow. I had to repeatedly ask about our order, napkins, utensils, drinks, etc. We ordered a few items but most were bland. Also, prior to getting seated we were asked to show proof of vaccination. I completely understand this policy but just don't run into it very often in restaurants lately. read more

Pros n Cons here. First off, the wooden bench and wood seats are really uncomfortable. This place is probably better for a quick lunch but not dinner. Food came out very quick. Cauliflower and Crab appetizers were very good. In general the service is just average. Oh and no sampling the beer here which is unheard of for places that serve draft. Also the manager recommended that I should reuse my used silverware (big no no) but jumped to get us fresh plates when asked. lol makes no sense. Pizza was soggy and crust was soft and not crispy; not the style I like but some might. Toppings are skimp. I wont be back here again. Much better options all over tri-valley. Oh and garlic bread; not worth it, as it was too salty and not buttery and No Garlic! The red accompanying red sauce was good though. This place might not be for everyone but some will enjoy its fast and pizza prices are decent. Younger crowds would prolly enjoy it more. read more

Not bad for a newly open restaurant. It's packed, so recommend grabbing a spot in the bar area as the fastest way to be seated. Very cool vibe and playlist. Service was outstanding...bartenders can mix, waitress was awesome (Alena), and manager (from SF) even came by to ask how things were going. Food is not bad...esp pizzas, and deserts too. We definitely recommend and plan to come back. Again, was impressed how a newly open restaurant was so smoothly operating and the entire friendly staff so very cool. I made reservations for a Sunday lunch on Yelp. The process was smooth, and my reservation was confirmed as I called them to get indoor seating. I reached there in time, and the hostess / owner said she doesn't see our reservations. She did seat us, but it was a very awkward discussion and created unnecessary confusion. Our server was prompt in getting our drinks and appetizers. We ordered buffet style food for our table, so we all can share. Burrata bruschetta, garlic bread, spicy marinara pizza, and butternut squash ravioli - all were really good. They don't give serving spoons which is a little odd. Do they expect folks to use their used forks snd spoons to take food which others on the table are also going to take. The location of the restaurant is perfect inside the fashionable San Ramon City Center. I wish I could give them 5-stars but did not due to the reservation confusion and inconvenience caused due to lack of serving spoons/spatula for ravioli and pizza. read more

We enjoyed our fungi pizza and spicy marinara pizza. We actually agreed it was the best pizza in the area, and we liked that there were multiple vegetarian options. Whereas a pizzeria would only have pizza, I liked that there were other options to try next time - skewers, pasta, salads. Our server was friendly. There are communal tables, but we had the 6-top high table to ourselves. I wouldn't really be keen to share a table. There were 2 issues to knock it down to 3 stars: 1) WAY too noisy. My watch says it was 75-80 db, which is on the verge of yellow (hurting your ears). It was difficult to have a conversation. The acoustics amplify people's voices and there is a bit of music playing. We'll sit outside next time, if weather permits. 2) Wine pour is measly for the price and it's not served in a wine glass. I know that's an Italian thing, but I prefer wine glasses. read more

Went on a Sat night around 7:30 as a party of five. It was packed! The wait was 35 mts but once we were seated and ordered dinner, the food came fairly quick. We loved our dinner, (parents & kids (ages 16-10). Nice up market twist to a casual dining restaurant. Made reservations through Yelp and only had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. We were seated at the regular height tables with the cushioned cube seats. I brought a booster seat for my 9 month old that attaches to a chair. When I asked for a regular chair instead of the cube seat, I was told that they don't do that or else they would be moving furniture all night and that all the chairs are accounted for. Seriously?! I saw several unoccupied chairs against the wall. I didn't want to make a fuss about it so I tried to get my daughter to sit in a normal high chair but it was too big for her and she kept slipping down. I had to flag down another person, I think either the hostess or manager to ask again for a chair for my daughters booster seat. She was very nice and got a chair for me with no problem. Food was fine. Service was fine too other than the fore mentioned situation. But it put me in a bad mood for rest of the meal. Just don't understand what the big deal was to ask for a normal chair. Not a kid friendly place. Won't be back any time soon. read more

My First time here, had the beet salad and it was perfect. Initially, I thought how nice it was that they weren't overcharging for a simple salad and that they were generous with the beets. other restaurants are pretty skimpy with beets like they are truffles or something. My friend had the chicken panini and it was quite plain but fine. Until we received the bill. They charged an "employee benefits" fee without mention. They also charged $5.00 for a can of diet coke and $7 for a small Pelligrino. What would have and should have been a decent, under $40 lunch ended up (with tip) at over $60 for a plain Sammy and a salad and garlic bread (pizza dough) . I hate dishonest price gouging. If you need more money, increase your prices for the food, be upfront that your costs have increased, we get it -- but don't sneak in surcharges and 1000% upcharges on non-alcoholic bevs. Yes, I know that can of coke costs you less than 20 cents. And NO no one checks the prices for regular drinks before they order, especially when it is on a tiny phone screen. If it had been refillable, that might not have been as outrageous. I took off two stars for this It's too bad because I would have for sure come back for the beet salad but I won't patronize this place again read more

Here's the scenario. I decided to go hang out with my wife and in joy some normalcy. She wanted to eat at Mendocino Farms, and I decided to have Delarosa. She went and ordered her salad, and I got us a table on the grass. They were so slow the waitress let me sit anywhere on their side of the grass. A rope separates the grass so Mendocino farms and Delarosa can share it. After I ordered a drink and food, the waitress left me with some water. So far, so good...... The waitress came back and asked my wife what she would like, and we advised her she is having a salad from Mendocino Farms. That's when it went downhill from there. She advised us no other food can cross the rope into the Delarosa side. She said she could put my order to go, but we had to sit on Mendocino farm's side. I thought this was weird, so I asked if she could confirm with the manager. The manager confirmed. I canceled my order sat 5 feet from where we were so my wife could enjoy her salad. So Delarosa lost my business. Not that it's going to break the bank, but I am just disappointed. read more

Tonight was our first Delarosa experience. We ordered through DoorDash and had a fabulous experience. The pizzas were delicious, I especially loved the Prosciutto di Parma, arugula and mozzarella pizza! The arugula was fresh and managed to arrive not wilted! We were all impressed how the crust had just enough bite and chew on the pizza without being over cooked. The Brussels sprouts appetizer was delicious and had a super yummy dipping sauce! Overall, great experience and we look forward to trying it in person when we can dine in restaurants again! read more

Ordered parpadelle , margarita pizza & tiramisu. The pizza and pasta are tasty. Pizzas are tiny though! Tiramisu was overly soaked in alcohol. We were seated at a table that clearly wasn't wiped down after the previous customers had left. There were crumbs on but the staff just put down two plates and two cloth napkins. Staff are all over the place physically and literally. I couldn't tell who was a waiter, who was busing tables , and what the other so called staff walking around were doing? Are they customers ..? I had no clue! Staff were all dressed super casually , some had grey aprons , some did not. The guy busing our table had sweat dripping down the sides of his face and all over his forehead. Poor fellow was inside , outside & back and forth working ! No one greeted us or came to take our order for a really long time. I got up to flag someone down that was coming with water for us but she said she wasn't our waitress but could put in or order. Then another staff member said she would be right back but never came by. We enjoyed the extremely thin tiny pizza and the parpadelle was delicious. I just wished we could have been able to actually have a conversation and enjoy the food without trance music blaring like a night club. I could barely hear the waitress , she could barely hear us. I had no clue what she said about the dessert because I couldn't hear a word she said since the music was so loud. Why is the music so friggin loud ?!? Just seems like a bunch of young folks running the place and it's super disorganized. I wouldn't dine here again. Maybe dine outside on a nice day but if you step inside and hear loud trance music , turn your behind around and find a different restaurant ! read more

Other than the happy hour Calimari, which is really good, the rest of their food is just blah. I grew up in Pennsylvania in a traditional Italian family where my grandma prepared large pasta dinners every Sunday for the family. Delarosa's sauce doesn't even compare to my grandma's homemade sauce. West coasters don't have a clue when it comes to Italian cuisine. The hour drive to Napa is more than worth it to enjoy truly delicious food. If you're looking to enjoy a nice Italian meal, Delarosa certainly isn't the place to go. 54 Mint in WC is better but that doesn't even compare to my grandma's authentic Italian cuisine. Don't waste your time fighting the nightmare parking scenario at City Center just to have a mediocre dining experience. read more

We had "Beet Salad w/ Kale", which I think they should call it "Kale Salad with Beet" because I expected MORE BEETS instead of KALE!! Wtf?! We both had our own dish.... Great food, came out hot and delicious, great flavor with an authentic Italian taste. I would give this restaurant five stars if not for the passive and avoidant server Pedro who only appeared to be serving two other tables besides my mother and I on a Monday at 3:30 PM. Twice I had to get up and ask for service throughout the meal, he only came to check on us once after the food was brought out by other servers and didn't even come up directly, just kinda called over to us from a couple empty tables away. I understand that during Covid times servers may be a little shy but it seemed like the other staff were attentive and personable toward their guest while my mother and I were left out to fend for ourselves. It is hard not to take this kind of treatment personally. We left slightly disappointed with our experience because the service just wasn't up to par with the quality of the food. read more

Centrally located restaurant at The Lot. Great location. Plenty of inside and outside seating. Visited during Happy Hour. Tried the Sangria for $8 which was a relative small glass but decent. The meat ball ($8) was okay but little to cheer for. Sauce was a bit runny and little different from that coming out of a can. The thin pizza with the spicy Salami was at best fair while the pizza with mushrooms and Provolone was very good. My biggest complaint was how little attention the manager or owner who was helping out paid to us. She literally dropped off the meatball without noticing or care about the fact that out table was completely empty without napkin, silverware or anything for that matter. I had to go inside to retrieve them myself and asked for water. The waiter had no idea what each item was on the menu and told me the mushroom pizza has NO cheese. The restaurant charges an extra 3% for "living wages." I personally do not like that. Perhaps the patrons are cheap on tipping. Overall an okay place to have a bite in a tourist type restaurant with an captive audience. Only try their 4-6 Happy Hour as the prices on the small menu are at their best. read more
