Wife and I can back in town after spending time up in Yosemite Valley. Stopped by to grab a quick bite to hold us over for dinner and ordered a large Pastrami, Salami and Pepperoni style Italian sandwich. We opted for the dutch crunch bread and ordered it with "the works" which included practically everything that is good. Washed it down with black tea and peach iced tea which is great. Sandwich was delicious, everything was perfectly balanced and the flavors worked well together. Bread was fresh and I was pleasantly surprised that the sandwich is served hot. Went here for lunch with my mom. Pretty busy place. Clean. Nice music playing. Not the most welcoming, nice workers. Ordered a mini #21 with no mayo or mustard or oil & vinegar and extra jalapeños on wheat. My mom copied and ordered the same thing. Except she added chips. I brought my own. The sandwiches were made pretty quickly. Our table was wet so my mother asked for a worker to wipe it down. She did it very unwillingly and rolled her eyes. Terrible experience - safety advisory. I order lettuce wraps for lunch while at work thru Door Dash and today, the wraps (lettuce) were literally covered in dirt. I phoned Oakhurst Deli Delicious at 1:40pm and informed the young lady on the other end of the phone that the lettuce was not only dirty, but when they sliced the wrap, it transferred the dirt throughout the entire wrap. She responded without a sense of understanding by telling me that I could contact Door Dash for a refund. The point I was trying to make is this came from her establishment, and it was not safe with a risk of bacteria/disease. She started to tell me that there was, "no way this could have happened because we wash our lettuce." I told her that she needed to have someone check the lettuce supply to prevent others from being served dirty and possibly germ-infested food. She hung-up. Visiting a friends Airbnb and was told about Deli Delicious. I love sandwiches and I'm glad we stopped by. It was so good that we went 2 days in a row. Everyone working was very nice and food was prepared fast. The sandwiches looked like they came right out of a tv comercials, fucking delicious. I got the tuna with sprouts the first day and the chicken pesto the second day, highly recommend the beer battered fries. Tasty and huge sandwiches! We ordered four sandwiches all on sourdough bread- the pastrami, ham and turkey, turkey with avocado and sprouts, and classic ham. After hiking a small part of Yosemite, we had a quick picnic and these sandwiches were tasty and perfect. Three of the four sandwiches were small sizes and the ham was medium, but all were so huge! My wife and I would split it. First off I thought the price was high. The sandwich itself was about $10. The extra meat was about four dollars. Our sandwich arrived cut into four pieces and served in two separate baskets for my wife and I to enjoy. Such a disappointment. We have only lived in the area for a year so we hadn't had a chance to try this place yet. Our experience started with ordering. We had to repeat our order several times and several times confirmed we wanted two combos with fries. This is fine...except, after waiting for our order for a full 20 minutes, the cashier came over and told me she didn't charge me for fries. I confirmed I paid for two combos. She said I didn't and I could either pay or not get fries. I later found my receipt and I had paid for two combos, so she made me pay twice. On to the timing. Let me add here, we waited a total of 30 minutes for two sandwiches to come out.. And there was no one at all in front of us! When she brought the sandwiches, she said she forgot to start the fries. After forcing me to pay for them twice! A full 15 min later we got the fries. So.. If we hadn't paid too much, it would have been $30 for two combos. Which is totally ridiculous already. Because I was charged too much, I paid $36. For that much, we could have eaten in a really nice restaurant, had real customer service and better food and we still would have gotten our meal faster! read more
