This place is off the beaten path but well worth the trek! They make almost everything in house and you can definitely taste it! We were looking for a breakfast place, saw this online, liked the variety of the menu, and thought we'd give it a try. Odd building--looks like a nursing home--but restaurant is in one area off a central lobby. Order at the counter, self-serve coffee, bottled juice, etc., seat yourself. Food served in a reasonable amount of time, old crooners on the radio (a plus in our book), but anything savory was over-seasoned--we had a breakfast sandwich, grits & an omelet that were on the verge of inedible. They have a seasoning blend that they put on everything, and if it was done with a lighter hand, would probably be fine. It was just SO SALTY. We were told we should've asked for "light seasoning," but we didn't even KNOW there was a seasoning! The French toast casserole with fresh berries, and pancakes were delicious, however. So next time (if there is a next time), we'll stick to sweet breakfast. read more

Do NOT judge Deli Works from the outside! The actual deli is inside a former retirement home, that was converted into a mini mall of small businesses on one wing, and a daycare on the opposite wing. I spoke to the owner Josh, who took his years of experience in the restaurant industry, and opened up this charming little deli in 2020. There are indoor and outdoor dining, and a take out option for breakfast and lunch from 6 am - 3 pm. This is the PERFECT addition to Holly Ridge, that does not have enough eateries for locals and visitors. The food is delish. The interior ambiance is surprisingly delightful. Excellent deli spot! We were traveling back roads from OBX to Myrtle Beach looking for a place to eat lunch and stretch our legs a little. This place had good reviews although not your typical looking restaurant (in a re-done nursing home with other businesses). I'm so thankful for Yelp! Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about every item. They are willing to make any combination for you not on the menu. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Pulled up closest spots for lunch while in the area on my phone and found this place. The sandwich and soup was so good and the service there was friendly and fast. The amount of food you get for what you pay is crazy! My friend is also celiac (gluten-free) and they were super helpful and understanding and had gluten free options and she loved it. Interesting is what comes to mind when I think of my Deli Works visit. The building used to be a nursing home which has now been divided into several small businesses. Great selection of soup and sandwiches. Not the most amazing but still quite delicious. Staff could be slightly friendlier and maybe a little more explanatory with menu items. Stopped through heading to Marine Corps Air Station New River and so glad I did. The loaded Italian on ciabatta had an authentic flavor I haven't tasted in a while. It was delicious. Off the beaten path and in a former nursing home but don't let that deter you. My family and I are visiting and we wanted to be able to sit outside and dine. We all enjoyed our lunch. One of my daughters and I had the turkey, bacon & Swiss panini. My husband had the steak, egg and cheese sandwich. My youngest had avocado, Swiss and bacon omelet. All were very good size portions and my husbands sandwich was huge. He brought home half for another daughter. Everything was made to order and piping hot. We will be back! read more

Don't be fooled by the building, try it! Have been there a few times now. Everything from the sandwiches and grilled veggie omelets to the pulled pork platter is beyond YUM! Owner is very friendly, person at register always gives suggestions. Prices are reasonable. Not very large but there's always plenty of open seating.
