    Guacamole

The food is still stellar here. Innovative upscale Latino cuisine. Always spot on. And the portions are fairly generous and the prices remain reasonable. I am a huge fan of their guacamole. It is just always super fresh and so well done, I could eat a bucket of it. As you can see from my photos, I have been here a few times. And the service as well as the food have been exemplary. Haven't had any further problems with the hosts lately, so that warrants a 5 star review.

Ambience - inviting, understated, thoughtful design Service - On point! Very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable Food - Fantastic! The menu offers plenty for the foodies but on our visit, even pickier eaters enjoyed their meals. We loved trying the salsa trio and appreciated having a heat level for everyone. I personally loved my curried coconut pescado & wouldn't have minded a stronger curry punch.

Delicia is a gorgeous space with gorgeous plates to match. They have a well-curated wine selection along with beer, cocktails, and some great mocktail choices too! Service is friendly and they're happy to make recommendations if desired. The empanadas were crispy with such a yummy savory interior. Will be happy to revisit delicia any time!

As soon as I cut into the empanada and heard the crust separate, I knew I was in for a treat. These empanadas might be the most delicious thing I ever put in my mouth. Holy moly. The crust was blessed by angels. The basque cheesecake gets an honorable mention. It does have a unique flavor that might not be for everyone but I found it delightful. My margarita was nothing to write home about but the Colada Rosa was so good. Service was great, gorgeous space. I will definitely make the trek back to B Rip to try some other menu items.

I always love coming to Delicia. I like that there are new editions to the menu each month (seasonally), but you can always find some favorites that are menu staples too. Drinks are consistently good here. I love mojitos and love that I can get them freshly made all year round! Our waitress did a fabulous job introducing all kinds f the new menu items and the specials. Our food was amazing! This place is cozy and welcoming!

A Desert Dream in the Heart of SoBro! Delicia is a gorgeous gem that is absolutely worthy of your next date night. I spotted them on Resy and was intrigued--it definitely delivered on the "Southwest" vibes. The Atmosphere: The decor is the true standout here. Having lived in the American Southwest, I can tell the designer spared no detail. It holds true to that desert aesthetic while oozing intimacy through low lighting and cozy seating. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a "mood." The Food Breakdown: * Chips & Guac (5/5 ): Fresh, flavorful, and a must-order. * Salsa Trio (2/5 ): This was a miss for us. We only liked one of the three, so I'd skip the trio next time. * Smoked Brisket & Scallops (3/5 ): A bit of a toss-up. My friend wasn't a fan, but I found the brisket quite tasty and tender. * Birria Short Ribs (3.75/5 ): The flavor was delightful, but the texture was inconsistent. I order short rib specifically for that unctuous, silky, gelatinous breakdown. Half of the portion hit that mark perfectly, but the other half felt more like a standard pot roast. The rest of the dish was satisfyingly tasty! Service & Logistics: Our server was amazing! I wish I'd caught her name, but she was attentive and seamless. (I'm pretty sure it was Taylor.) Return Factor: 65% I'll definitely be back to try some of their other pillar dishes. Note for locals: They have a dedicated parking lot, which is a huge plus for this area of College Ave!

The food was phenomenal honestly. The chicken was perfectly crispy and a huggee portion. The birria short rib was delicious and super flavorful. I'd say the only downside is the restaurant is pretty expensive. Also, FYI the cantina is the back room, which is only open on weekends for overflow. We thought it was the bar in the main area..it's not and they don't let you switch if you made a reservation for a certain area.

Picked this place for Mother's Day brunch after reading rave reviews. First look at the menu everything sounded good. The carnitas verde bowl was a favorite, salty cheesy goodness. The breakfast enchilada was also delicious; filled with tender duck and topped with a tomato/habanero sauce that could have used a little more of a spicy kick. The place is made to feel like you are in Spain, bright yet cozy. We sat in the bar area at high tops with a comfy booth side. Only complaint is that it took a very long time to get our meals. However the food was great and worth the wait. Would recommend starting the queso fundido (the couple next to us ordered it and it made us all jealous as we waited hangerly)!

What a great spot in SoBro! Recently I visited Delicia with some girlfriends. I've been to the restaurant before, but it had been probably 10+ years! Everything was great. Our waitress, Taylor, was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the paloma and the devour specials. I cannot wait to come back for brunch. I highly recommend the salsa flight. The strawberry salsa is so delicious. Everything was so fresh. I have no complaints! Great date night spot or a night out with friends. Very clean and upscale spot.

This was my first time at Delicia and wow I am obsessed! First I started out with a spicy mango cocktail. Then we ordered the brussel sprouts and the octopus. Both were quite good, but we joked that we wished that we each had a plate of the brussel sprouts for ourselves! Then I switched to the non-alcoholic Coco No-No which was absolutely delightful. I felt like I could have been dropped into a beach. I did not plan for the portion sizes to be as large as they were so by the time that our entrees came out, I was only able to eat a few bites. The fried chicken, makes you doubt that it is really gluten free because it looks and tastes that good! Our waitress was Liz and she did an exceptional job, especially as the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. As someone who has a gluten allergy, I really appreciated how seriously that Liz and the kitchen staff took allergies and that Delicia's menu was marked up so well. I woke up and I do not have any symptoms of being glutened. I love finding safe places to eat at and I'm so glad that I have another one to add to my list! On a Saturday night the restaurant was louder to start around 7:45PM, but it got more quiet as the night progressed. I could always hear my friend sitting across from me, but I didn't feel like I had to shout or be louder than usual.

Brunch at Delicia has been on our Indy to eat list for what feels like years and we finally had a babysitter (but there were kids and babies their so don't let that stop you) and made it! It was worth the wait! This is the most unique brunch I've had in Indy. It was so hard to decide what dishes to get. I love that some options have a half serving like the plantain waffle so that you can even try more. My husband loved his carnitas verde grit bowl. We had lots to take home because the appetizer of queso was HUGE. I loved the decor, our waitress was wonderful, and the food was so good that now we need to try the dinner menu. There is a very small parking lot in front and then more parking in the back or the street parking is free in this area!

    CARNITAS CON MOLE
    Sophie O.

FIRE just expensive :/ GUACAMOLE 6.8/10 (avocado, serrano, garlic, tomato, onion, cilantro, lime, pistachio) - portion too small, super salty chips. SALSA MACHA POLLO 9/10 (crispy fried boneless miller's amish chicken breast, salsa macha, cilantro lime rice, pickled jalapeños & carrots, herb avocado crema) - spectacular. Chicken was the lightest fried chicken ever while being so crispy. Avocado crema was amazing. I'm obsessed, still thinking about this EMPANADAS 8.8/10 (barbacoa beef, chihuahua cheese, puff pastry, creamy habanero sauce, lime crema, herb green rice) - a classic, better to order as an appetizer than entree CARNITAS CON MOLE 8.4/10 (house smoked carnitas, mole poblano, fried plantains, white rice, grilled jalapeno, lime crema, tortilla) - still so so good despite being my least fav entree we got ENCHILADAS DE PATO 8.78/10 (maple leaf farms duck, tomato | habanero sauce, lime crema, chihuahua cheese, herb green rice, stewed black beans) - delicious sauce!!! Big portion, would totally order again. FIRE N' ICE (jalapeño infused reposado tequila, hibiscus | basil | habanero reduction, tres chiles ice ball) SMOKE & STONE (sombra mezcal, fresh mango puree, lightly spiced weber blue agave reposado, lime juice, turbinado simple)

    Spanish Churro toast
    Emi M.

This is such a popular restaurant, and my first and second visit were both great. I came here for brunch. I recommend making a reservation on their website (they use Resy) because it gets busy here. I had a coffee and Spanish churro toast. The coffee was good and I liked how it was served in a glass tall mug. The toast was just okay. Mine did not have much cinnamon taste and didn't resemble churros in any way despite the name. But I still liked the tres de leche sauce. Our server was professional and attentive. My check was inaccurate but when I brought that to her attention, she quickly went back and fixed it for me. I'd love to come back here for dinner next time.

By the time we left, they were open for business inside. There is A LOT to be said for a business opening under the circumstances that they can work under, so I really appreciated them being open and serving! I ordered the vegetable stew, a veggie pattie, and a jerk chicken kid's meal. You will get so much food even with the kid's meal. The chicken was cooked very well and tasted delicious. I ordered the spicy sauce, and while I think it could have been much hotter, I think most people would find it sufficiently spicy. I would 100% get the vegetable stew and the jerk chicken again, but would probably pass on the pattie. Nothing wrong with it, but the other dishes were just that much more amazing that I'd like to save room for them. Don't hesitate to give this location a chance. You won't regret it!

Indianapolis, IN…read more A stand-alone building located at Spruce & Prospect streets, Yaso is an unsuspecting place nested amongst the homes in Fountain Square on the southeast side of Indianapolis. There is free parking if you enter off Spruce street but there are only about 10 spots. There is also an outdoor patio just out front if you prefer the open air. Being winter, we opted for the warmth of the indoors with our meal. The staff is super friendly here and they have two separate dining areas and a bar. The menu covers all your Caribbean staples; Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken, Oxtail, Ackee & Saltfish, and Fricassee Chicken. They also have some freshly made juices and a variety of imported sodas. We went with the Jerk Chicken (of course), and a Curry Goat. We also ordered a fresh mango guava to help wash it all down. They also claimed to serve authentic Jamaican Rum Cake, so of course we had to put that to the test too! Jerk Chicken. We ordered both a regular portion ($10) and a kids portion ($6). Each meal came with rice and peas, cabbage slaw, and plantains. The chicken was cooked thoroughly (baked) and then grilled to give it that nice char and keeping it authentic. The regular portion was made with medium spice and the kids portion was made with mild. The medium spice level turned out to be quite mild, but I'm thinking the spice levels are catered to the locals and the regulars, but it was still pretty flavorful. 3.5 stars. Curry Goat. This came with the same sides of rice and peas, cabbage slaw, and plantains ($16). While it was a little pricey, the flavor was quite good. The curry was not overpowering and there was a nice subtle spice to it. 4 stars. Mango-Guava juice ($4.50). Made fresh in-house, the drink was not overly sweet, but sweet enough. I'm a fan! 4 stars. Jamaican Rum Cake ($5.00). This surprised me to be honest, and it definitely reminded me of the same Spiced Rum Cake I had in Jamaica. An incredibly moist and denser cake due to the amount of liquid in it, there was a decent amount of Rum. It wasn't spiced rum like I had in Jamaica, but was still tasty. Notes of raisins were also present, and what I assume to be the local spin on this cake was notes of raspberry. 4-stars. Overall, Yaso was a good experience. I didn't go with the oxtail this time around, but wish I did. The Jerk Chicken was just ok, the flavor was mild, but it was prepared correctly. The Curry Goat fared better and I'd return for that. 4-stars overall. If you would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company! Bon Appétit!

I finally made it back today around 8:45 p.m. I knew the restaurant closed at 10 p.m., so I made sure not to come at the last minute. Then, after getting home, I found the food once again overly salty to the point that it was difficult to enjoy. For the price paid, I expected better quality and customer service. I truly want to support Black-owned businesses, which is why I came back and gave the restaurant another opportunity. However, consistency, professionalism, and consideration for customers should remain the standard for everyone at all times. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because there is definitely room for improvement in both service and food preparation.

It looks like it would be a hoping place on weekends. You will also find an ATM here as well as a few televisions around the bar area. There is a patio area in the front of the restaurant, but it was closed and had tables stacked on top of each other when I was there. I decided to dine in, which was kind of awkward. I was never seated. I just found a table after standing there for about 5 minutes. The table was not very stable and rocked throughout my meal. Normally, the server brings a glass of water out to the patrons too, but that was not the case here. I had to even track down the server to take my order. The staff there is friendly enough, but as I have mentioned, they are very hard to communicate with. They offer a limited menu that rotates based on the day of week. This is an authentic restaurant. I mean authentic, authentic. communicating with them was very difficult. They did not understand a word I said and vice versa. Somehow I was able to place my order, even though it took a while. I went with the fried goat, which came with french fries, plantains and slaw. I ended up having to point out the drink I wanted in the cooler behind the bar. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and it looked delicious. I will be honest though, it was not very good. The plantains tasted like cardboard, the fries were a bit off too. The goat was good, but it and the rest of the food was luke warm at best. It was like it was already prepared and just put on the platter. I ended up throwing my plantains away and I do not like to waste food, but I just could not eat them. I really really had high hopes for this place, but it did not deliver. The food just did not do it for me. The communication issue affected the service and the prices were a bit steep. my meal and drink ran me about $25. I hope that my visit was an off day for the restaurant, but I will probably not be coming back anytime soon.

It was hard for me to tell if this place was open or not. It was dim, empty and pretty slow. But I decided to give it a shot, and low and behold, they were open. They have very few parking spots in the front of the restaurant and a small dining area with a few hi-tops and chairs. Their menu is limited as well and offer some Caribbean themed/jerk chicken dishes including jerk jambalaya, jerk chicken egg rolls, jerk Phillly, Caribbean salad, and nachos. They also have daily specials to be on the look out for. They have a very limited selection of canned drinks. There were only 3 kinds to choose from during my visit (Diet Coke, Coke, and Sunkiss Orange. I went with the daily special and got the jerk wings, with a side of jerk jambalaya. It was just average to me. Maybe I had such high hopes, but it was definitely lacking the flavor of the other food that I ate. The guy that was working was friendly enough. He was not engaging, but would respond if you needed something or had a question. He just did his job. This is a decent Caribbean restaurant. It would not be my first option though. Either way, I really enjoyed my meal for the most part and would surly eat here again.

They were stuffed with meat, cabbage and the mango sauce was a unique twist on a traditional appetizer. If you're looking for food to go, I'd check this place out!
