Home Depot selected these guys to install two toilets for me. After some back and forth on scheduling, the day of install, our guy shows up at 7p. That was OK with us so he went straight to work. Guy was done in less than an hour and took the toilets and boxes away with him, which he did not have to do. We did pay for the toilet removal, but did not expect him to take the boxes. Very nice of him. The trouble was with the communication with Home Depot and Delta. We called Home Depot 3 times and the folks there were trying to help, but never told us Delta would be doing the install. If they simply had hooked us up with the installer, it really would have helped the scheduling. Other than that the installer was knowledgeable and efficient. read more

I bought a new hot water tank at Home Depot in Port St. Lucie, Fl. I paid almost as much to have it installed; with permits, as I did for the tank. The local contractor who installed my new tank literally left my home, leaving my new hot water tank empty. He stated that my water "shut off knob" was broken. It was not. I later filled the tank myself, turned the Electric breaker on. The newly installed hosing/piping dripped. I texted Robert Vines,(local contractor); and also the only professional Delta Mechanical employee to even attempt to assist me. Her name is Jennifer, in the Tampa, Fl. office. Mr. Vines came out again the next day, replaced the corroded pipe. He did not replace the other two corroded pipes. I texted him, asked him to do so as I did not want another leak. He stated that "parts are not replaced nor repaired unless leaking or broken", but he'd "do me a favor"; and stop by and replace those between other installations. He gave a date, and a time, but did not show up, nor did he call me. I notified the Delta Mechanical Tampa Office, sent pictures of the tank, piping, & and copies of all my texts with him. He eventually did come and replace the other corroded pipes. This was a stressful experience. I had several other contractors; including an A.C. System installation company, professional painters, concrete work, and new appliances installed .....several thousands of dollars worth of Services. All 5 star reviews and services---not Delta Mechanical. I was made to feel, by the contractor, and by the very fact that NO SUPERVISOR EVER CONTACTED ME- that my installation was unimportant, and none of this was professionally handled. One Delta Mechanical employee, Jennifer, in Tampa, Fl., is the ONLY POSITIVE that I've had with this company. I contacted my local Home Depot management and warned of the terrible contractor they are using. I will NEVER use Delta Mechanical again. read more

They have given the worst customer service from any company I have ever dealt with. I was quoted a price to have a water heater installed. The technician gets there late, then informs me that only in my city does it require a drip pan and drip line to be ran outside. They are charging $15 a foot for an 88cent pvc pipe. The total cost was $300 more than what was quoted before the job. I will never do business with this company. I will also be reporting to BBB. Any public influence I have I will make sure to never advise anyone to have anything installed by this company. Terrible company. read more

Mr. Justin came in for the estimation of my 20yr old furnace. I thought I have to replace a new one at the beginning. Justin just spent 5 minutes to prove I need a thermostat to make the whole system coming back. He is such a great and honest guy and he is really knowledgable on the system. If I could leave no stars I would. After calling home depot yesterday because my water heater was leaking all over my garage, I called Home Depot seeing that they offered same day service Monday-Friday so I was hoping to have someone here first thing this morning. I had set up with you guys and was asked to hold almost $1,800 to be charged onto my card yesterday to reserve today to have my water heater replaced, I let them know that we were having to have our water shut off during this time to hopefully get helped in the morning. I was told that someone would be contacting me to give me a time frame window as well as an additional call when they were 30 min away. After not hearing anything today, I called at about 12:45pm today, the man I talked to seemed surprised that the guy was not here yet. After "checking his schedule" he determined him to be dealing with an emergency at the job he was at, but I was told that he would be on his way in 1 to 1.5 hours max. I asked if he would call me still when he was 30 minutes away, I was reassured he would, I again let him know that we were without water and I have 2 young children. After 6pm and not hearing anything I tried to call again to which it is instantly directing to voicemail, I left a message. Tried calling again, no response. It's now 8:18pm and no reason, communication, or response at all from one person. The only time I have heard anything is when I had to call to see what was going on. I understand if the technician ran into an emergency, but now you're saying that nobody can communicate with me that the guy isn't coming at all? Or anyone else in his spot? Is everyone having an emergency now that has prevented every single person to make one phone call? Home Depot has no idea what is going on. I cannot believe how unprofessional, not to mention, how little this company obviously cares about its clients well being or the money they have spent for a specific time window for replacement. I should have been called at the very least to reschedule or offer a refund so I can take my money to a business that would accommodate my family. Unfortunately I read the above reviews with 1 Star after my disastrous encounter and learned my experience is infact commonplace; incompetence at every level, unprofessional, and that is beyond all excuses and patience, it is unacceptable. Delta Mechanical installed my tankless water heater three years ago, when we started to not get hot water, I had the system flushed. The plumber told me that the pipe installed was a 1/2 pipe and that the system required a 3/4 pipe. And that no overflow was installed. I called the manufacturer and was told that indeed a 3/4 pipe was the minimum required, and was clearly stated in the installation manual. When I contacted Delta, they told me that since a year had passed they were no longer responsible - and view it as a malfunction, not a faulty installation. I asked to speak to the manager, I was passed to a voice message system. I left a message.. never heard back. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!! read more

This is the company Home Depot is contracted with for toilet disconnect and reconnect when you get flooring install done by HD. Initial visit and three toilet disconnect and reconnect of two toilets went great. Then the problems started. Toilet flange on first floor sat too high. The repair is to remove it, and install a new one at the correct height. I got scheduled and rescheduled no fewer than four times in less than a week. Three of them I left work to meet them at the property. On the third visit (Wednesday) I get on the phone with the dispatch office and the tech still at my house after the tech tells me hes only quoting the job. Have to schedule for a work visit. I was very clear every time that I wanted a quote and if accept it, I wanted them to do the work same day. Its now promised for the next day (Thursday _ visit 4) after dispatch sees all the errors on their part. The last straw was when the scheduled time for the visit to do the work with the tech on Thursday rolls around, I get a call from their dispatch office saying they need to bump me to Saturday, no explanation just that the manager requested that they call me to reschedule. I accepted it and then promptly fired them after I found a company that followed through on what they said. Estimated and fixed, literally the same day (that Thursday). If I could give them zero stars I would for horrible customer service. I was suppose to have my water heater installed in the morning never got a call and called them at noon, 3 hours after appointment time and then they said the earliest they could be there was 3pm. I also was told they would give me a discount for being late after I complained of $400. Turns out they had the wrong address they say and wrong state. When i called again they said they would have to charge me $400 more because the water heater had to be compliant for the state I lived in. I was again told I would get a discount of the new price and so I had it installed. After getting a bill after work was complete they did not give a discount and actually charged more. I wish I would of read reviews before going with a company that doesn't care about there customer. Utter failed of a company. No integrity. Absolutely worst customer. Very unreliable. Contracted through Home Depot (like many of these reviews) for a disconnect and reconnect after counter installation. Disconnect on Thursday went ok. Reconnect scheduled for Saturday from 8AM to 10 AM. At 1030 no on showed so I called and left a message. At 1230 I started the reconnect myself. At 1 PM I got a call that said the tech's truck broke down but they would have someone to my house by 3. At 130 I got a call from another person that said their tech called in sick but someone would be to my house between 3 and 5. At 2 I got a call that said they had an emergency and couldn't come out until Monday. No supervisor available to talk to me. Of course not, they were already paid through Home Depot. Called Home Depot, got a refund. Stay away from delta- find another more reliable company and save yourself the headache. read more

I purchased a water heater from the Home Depot and called the phone number for same day installation as I had made my purchase by 11:00am that day. Home Depot contracts through Delta Mechanical. Anyway, there are no appointments for same day installation, so I settled for the following day. A dispatcher called me the following day to say their tech canceled all of his appointments for the day in the Bakersfield area and rescheduled for yet another day after promising me they would be here today. Obviously, this companies word is worthless to me. Home Depot-please subcontract with a reputable company. This is ridiculous! Only one tech in an area servicing over 400,000 people. read more

Delta Mechanical installed an air conditioner just less than 5 years ago. This week, it stopped working and I have left several messages with their office person to try to get someone out to check on it. NO ONE has called back, so I had to call a local company. After all, it's hot here in Tucson and my health is at risk without my air conditioner. Luckily, D & H responded the same day and are working to get the work done before it falls out of warranty. I am thinking Delta does not want to deal with the warranty issue. I would not recommend anyone use this company in the future. read more

I will never let Delta Mechanical install anything for me again!!! I bought my water heater from Home Depot and I trusted them to recommend a good installer. I was charged an outrageous amount for the installation! He was late coming to install it and it was nearly 8:45 PM when he was finished. The installer kept handing me his phone and have me sign things and I had no idea what I was signing. One place was absolutely blank and I ask him what I was signing and he said that the job was done to my satisfaction. Also the price did not agree with what Home Depot quoted me, but Home Depot didn't give me even a receipt for the transaction. The girl at the Home Depot service desk was nice, but didn't act like she knew what she was doing. The installer yelled something when he left and I don't think it was "good-bye". :-( read more

If I can give them a negative zero rating, I would! They don't deserve a star. I ordered to install a Rheem 50 gallons water heater, the first time delivery was an hour late. He didn't even bother to call if he was going to be late or he was on his way. The installer looked at the ceiling and stated, "I will not touch that ceiling, it has asbestos." He left! Then I called the main office to let the management know what's going on, the main office didn't even know the water heater didn't get installed. I reordered the system for the second time because the Abation Company has cleared the ceiling and free from asbestos. I also informed the management at the main office, spoke to George Ramos, explained that this water heater will be installed and financed via HERO financing. He said, "aw, it's been years since we've done HERO financing, let me check on that and I will call you right back!" That promised was 9/17/19 @ 0945. He never called me back. I called him at 1245, left a message, I didn't get any call return. The installer was scheduled for 1000 am. Again, the installer showed up at 1230 pm, late 2.5 hours, and to top it off, he doesn't know that the installation and the unit will be financed through HERO PROGRAM. Then he stated, "let me call my boss." I told him to cancel the whole deal. I will not deal with a company that doesn't value their customers. These employees just don't care if they get business or not. They are getting paid for showing up to work. It's a sad system. Got Delta's number through Home Depot in Flagstaff to prepare a gas connection for an appliance installation. On the appointment day, no one showed up or called during the 4 hour window. After numerous attempts to reach customer service, someone finally returned a call to us to say they would not be coming until 4 days later. We were able to find a local reliable plumber who came in a day and charged us 1/4 of the quote by Delta. We'll stick with the local plumber at CopperState Plumbing in Flagstaff in the future. read more

Job was completed but my signature on the documents was forged. Our circulation pump stopped working after the water heater installation. They said it was coincidence. I doubt it. They installed galvanized pipe on to copper on the cold water line. Another plumber said that will be a problem area because of the two different materials and electrolysis. Delta said that it was an acceptable way to do it. We had them come out again to provide a quote for a new recirculation pump but they never followed through. Would NEVER use them again. read more

If you need an HVAC/plumbing company and Delta Mechanical pops up, based on my experience, run don't walk away. Without the worst company I have dealt with in years. I needed a water heater replaced and Delta is the company of choice for Home Depot so I thought heck must be good. I had called and gotten quotes from a couple of other plumbing companies in the Prescott/Prescott Valley area and then called Delta, they were a bit more expensive, but this has nothing to do with price. I expect to pay a bit more for a major company. I called and scheduled service and agreed no the water heater of choice. At that time, the CSR checked and since I live in Yavapai County, they did not need to pull permits. OK, appointment time came and I got a call that Delta needed to cancel the appointment. Once. We made a second appt and it was clear to Delta that they needed to send two techs but only one showed who left me a number to Delta and drove away. Strike two. Third appt made and the tech showed up and said that Delta needed to pull permits. I called Delta and got two representatives on the phone and they debated for minutes between themselves if a permit was needed. No resolution. The disconnected and that was the last time I heard from Delta. All in all, this was more than a month waiting for service. Again, nothing about price but three appts made and nothing happened. Where to begin? Well, this was the WORST installation experience of my life. I'll try to keep it brief. I ordered a hybrid water heater from Home Depot on Jan. 20th, the install was initially scheduled for the 23rd. I get a call 30 min AFTER the install time to notify me they wouldn't be coming as the installer they scheduled wasn't qualified to install a hybrid unit. They scheduled me the following day on the 24th. I rearrange my schedule again to be here for the install. The installer shows up, removes my old water heater and let's me know the hybrid won't work due to space. They go back to Home Depot and swap out to a regular unit which he installs (mostly) the new unit. He ran out of pipe and parts and didn't finish installing the hot water return loop. It worked for the time being, but took like 3 minutes before any hot water came out of any shower or faucet once it was turned on. They scheduled to finish the job on the 26th. The installer shows up and is upset as he was told he only needed to install a pipe and didn't have any parts and wanted to go home and eat dinner because "it was getting dark." My wife goes out to his van to ask if he was going to finish the job since I was stuck in traffic, he replied he was going to just sit in his "office" (the van) until he was told otherwise by the office since he wanted to go home and had no parts. He ended up leaving and not telling anyone. Our garage was open until we realized he left to go home without notice. I call, complain, and reschedule for the 27th. They show up again and didn't have the right pipe and parts to finish the job. The guy drives to a local Home Depot and gets supplies to return and finish installing the unit. Once done, we realize I was sold (and paid for) the 5500 watt unit and they installed a cheaper 4500 watt unit. I call to let them know, they said they need proof. I have the installer take a photo. Monday the 30th arrives, I call and explain again, they sold me a higher priced unit which was verified as to what I ordered and paid for, but had a different model installed. They schedule to come out on Thursday that week to remove the wrong unit and put the one I paid for in. I do some research at this point since I have no faith in them and find out it looks like I need 30a breakers for my 5500 watt unit. I call to verify this, they place me on hold and call a tech to verify I was correct. Problem is, when present they told me to order the bigger unit which I apparently was not set up for. So....had they have showed up they would have removed the unit to only find out the new one I bought and paid for wouldn't work either, then be forced to use the one they just removed. I finally said I'll just keep the cheaper unit they put in by mistake and want a refund of the difference. They said they would, but could not send me a receipt or proof since it was all through Home Depot. This is nuts! Please avoid this at all costs. Bought a garbage disposal at Home Depot and they recommended Delta Mechanical, which was supposed to contact us within 48 hours. Five days later I called them and got no apology, just a quote and options for installation. I gave them a number to call prior to arrival, but we got no call because the tech claimed it was "out of service." It was clear that he had not been given the correct number. I'm surprised a company with a reputation as good as Home Depot's that they would contract a company like this. 1) I found the water heater I wanted on homedepot.com 2) Clicked through for a HD authorized installer, and called. 3) The guy was professional, took all my info, including the gate code to the neighborhood. And I was very clear that the tech gets the gate code (many who come to our house seem to "forget." 4) When the installer showed up, he apparently didn't have the gate code, so was calling my cell (from a Los Angles phone number, I'm in Phoenix), but did not leave a message (4 times he called). I did not answer, as I get calls all day long from solicitors. 5) This installer finally followed someone else through the gate, and when he arrived he complained to my wife that he sat at the gate for an hour.... duh. Again, nice enough guy, but really? How about read the notes from your dispatcher (I called back and read back my info that the tech had on his tablet), where my gate code was written, or if you can't read the notes, leave a message when you call (especially from a Los Angels area code), instead of sitting for an hour at the gate. Really? The install went fine, and the tech knew plumbing. Then is went down hill. When he removed the old heater it dripped rust truly 2 feet wide all the way out of my garage. He asked me if I had a broom. I said yes. He said, I could sweep out the closet where the water heater was located. It was late, so I thought "ok, I'll help with the clean up." When the closet was clean, he just brought bill to sign, and to my surprise, walked to his truck, and drove away. Seem difficult to believe they would not include clean up as part of the install. Who knew??? What a poor experience. Last time I'll use Home Depot installers for anything. If fact, since both Home Depot and Lowes are equidistant, I'll be shopping at Lowes unless I need something that only Home Deopt carries. Finally, shame on me for assuming Home Depot would send me to a good installer. I "assumed" incorrectly that Home Depot would use/certify/send reputable installers. I requested a plumber service quote at home depot (because I have a loan there so I must take the service there) and they addressed me with this company that works for them.. The person that I spoke with started to asked me questions about my actual water heater that I didn't know... After, she gave me a quote for 750usd, without knowing what needs to be done!!! So I asked her to set and appointment to visit my place and provide an estimate but she was reluctant. She was very rude because I requested a visit to my house before the quotation... I almost didn't get it ..and just because I spoke with home depot they accepted .. We set a day and the person didn't show up or call the whole day .. I called the company to know what happened and nobody answered.. I called home depot, they called the company and nobody answered them either.. Home depot apologized and said they will call me on Monday .. home depot called me on Monday and said the reason was that Florida Delta didn't have the appointment in the system.. So I had to set a new one..now, I gotta wait for 2 weeks!!!! for a visit.. I wait for 2 weeks.. And when the day arrived the installer texted he will be at 7am, I said I will only be available after 10:30 am and if. He could come at that time? . He said yes I will be there or other installer.. (everything was going good)... I wait at that apartment since 10 am...I called him at 11 am and he said will be there in half an hour . I called again at 12 and he said he will be at my place around 12:30... I wait until 2:30 pm and he didn't answer the phone again . I called the company and they told me the installer said I couldn't be there in the morning .. That I will be there after 2:30pm (very big lie).. . The customer service told me he will be sending other guy at 4:30pm so I went to my office... Wait there until 4pm to go to the apartment again.. The installer called me at 4pm and said he will be there at 4:30pm.. Wait there it until 5pm and nobody showed up again. I received a call at 6pm from the company to reschedule the appointment ..!!! This a total disrespect!! I can't believe companies like this can work in United States .. And even with home depot.. Totally disappointed read more

Delta Mechanical has got to be the most umproffessional company I have ever dealt with. I'm shocked that Home Depot would refer them out! I went to home depot to buy a gas stove and needed a gas line ran to the kitchen from the garage which is also right next to the gas meter. (about 10 feet away) I was told that they couldn't give me an exact price over the phone but it would range from $300 up to $600. After them cancelling on me twice because "the truck broke down" They called me back to let me know it would be $1700 so I quickly cancelled and will have another company do the install. Stay away!!! Home Depot should drop these guys like a hot potato. I had them come out to replace a simple gas valve. It took them three weeks to get back to me (in the middle of the winter) telling me that they could not find the exact part. They tried to get me to buy a new furnace. It took me just a few minutes on line to find universal gas valves. After showing them the universal gas valve, I heard just a bunch of mumble jumble of how it may not work. All they wanted me to do was buy one of their furnaces. First he tried to tell me that the unit may cost $10,000 but I could get it free. Well, adding a tax lean to your home is not free. I reminded him that Home Depot sells units for about ~$1,000. He tried to sell me a $3,000 unit. Then he told me that a $1,000 unit would cost an additional $3,000-$4,000 to install. Yet the $3,000 unit would cost just and additional $1,000 to install (What? Does he think I was born yesterday?). Gave me a bunch of crap about he cares for my tenants and wants the best for them. The best for my tenants is a simple $100 gas valve which can be installed in an hour and not a cheap furnace which takes weeks to obtain. Oh, he tried to tell me that he could have the unit installed in a day. That was just more mumble jumble. It takes at least another 2-3 weeks. This is an update to my last review. As of Jan 20, 2016 I was made aware that Delta Mechanical has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy and stopped paying their people so they all walked off the jobs. read more

I signed up through Home Depot to get an HVAC installer to come and give us a quote to install a new gas furnace and duct work on the home we just bought. We actually already owned a four year old Trane AC unit that we bought through the Home Depot install service previously and since we are on a budget and didn't want to spend another 4k on an AC unit we wanted to buy a new furnace and have this AC installed with it and new duct work. Delta Mechanical called me, well a woman named Theresa from Delta called me. I started to explain my situation and she cut me off in the middle of me saying I wanted to buy a Trane furnace by rudely asking "Does Home Depot even sell Trane?" I replied, "well yes, that's where I bought the AC unit" and then when I was trying to again explain about the AC she again interrupted me with a really rude tone and said "Well we don't install other people's stuff" and she hung up on me! No good bye. No, sorry we can't help you. Nope. She simply slammed the phone in my ear. AVOID. They want to hard sell you and if you for one inkling of a second don't want all new equipment they apparently slam the phone in your ear. You should fire Theresa. She's terrible for business Also, after having work done and seeing the prices you peeps have paid these people I would SHOP AROUND!!! Don't go to Home Depot unless you have to for a referral... ask a Realtor friend for a referral to a good contractor for HVAC or shop around on Yelp and avoid this type of company. read more

I was given these guys name by Home Depot for an install of a tankless water heater, after a long wait on hold I finally spoke to a guy and explained what it was I wanted. He quoted me $3900 installed for a unit that was 2x the size we actually needed for a small house and when that was pointed out I was told we could run both showers and all the faucets in the house at the same time, well who exactly does that? I told him I would be buying the unit from Home Depot and only needed it installed, he rudely said "fine then that will be $3900". Made an installation appointment for yesterday from 2-5. At 5:15 I called asking why they had not shown up or called. No reason, really. They apologized and said they'd be out from 8-10 today. At 9, I called to ask what reason they had for being an hour late. They said whoops, they'd call me right back. An hour later, I called back because I hadn't heard anything. After being put on endless holds 3 times in a row, I finally got ahold of someone. They said they had changed my appointment from 2-6 this afternoon instead. No one had asked me if that was okay. Finally I got to speak to a supervisor, they said that they'd get someone out ASAP but wouldn't give me a time frame (edit: they came 30 minutes after the absolute latest time I told them I could be at my house). I'd rather pay $100 more to deal with someone that has half a brain and isn't completely incompetent, thanks. Edit: I emailed Home Depot and advised them that maybe they shouldn't be doing business with people that are strategically incompetent. They agreed the situation is completely effed up. They said they could take $100 off the installation, but after reading even the latest reviews I've decided it isn't worth the time or effort. read more

Don't waste your time! I needed a water heater replaced, they said they would match Lowe's plus 10%. After two weeks they called back offering $300 off the quote which did not even match Lowe's. So I wasted two weeks and cancelled a contract that I should of just stayed with. read more

Home depot had these guys install a toilet for us. When installer arrived and looked at the job , I was told I'd need a new flange. I asked how much this would cost I was told $20 . Imagine my surprise when work was done and I was told I needed to pay $120 !! I told them to sue me I want paying that because that price was outrageous , and not what I was quoted . I bought a water softner from Home Depot and their approved installer was Delta Mechanical. What a debacle I had with Delta Mechanical! They installed the water softner and didn't connect a water seal correctly between the softner and our home's pipe, according to a 2nd plumber from Delta whom came to inspect. A few days the seal failed and our garage was flooded. If we hadn't been at home the water would have entered the house and flooded it completely. We had to deal (e.g., lots of time) with other companies (Dry Force who were very good) to dry the walls, base board, carpet on steps, etc. Everthing was replaced, repainted and it was a major pain in the AXX! Then Delta wouldn't replace the water softner until I called GE and they comfirmed that the electronics was also fried. What a MAJOR hassle! Stay away from Delta Mechanical/Home Depot's recommendation unless you want your house flooded. read more

I just had Delta Mechanical replace my sediment-clogged, out-of-warrantee electric hot water heater with a new one. I must say that my experience was far different from the other reviewers. I was called by the workman in advance to let me know the exact time he would arrive, and he replaced the unit in less than two hours. He was knowledgeable and friendly as was the office person I originally dealt with. I feel I got great service and an excellent price for everything, including installation and unit. That's right a single star review. I called Home Depot hoping to get a jump on getting my central AC unit installed before the peak of summer season and before the contractors get swamped with work. It never happened. STRIKE ONE was me taking time off work to meet the contractor for an estimate only to be called by Home Depot to say the contractor had to cancel, this was only 30 minutes before the appointment. STRIKE TWO was arriving over an hour late for the rescheduled appointment, after cancelling on short notice the first time. The person I met with was nice and answered all my questions and said he would have an estimate in my email by the next morning. STRIKE THREE was not receiving an estimate at all, even after reaching out FOUR DAYS later to let them know I was still interested and would like to see an official estimate. It's been 10 days since I met with the contractor and I still haven't received an email back, in that time I was able to find another company (AllHeatingandAirConditioning) to give me an estimate and install my system. Home Depot and their contractor Delta Mechanical fell flat. AllHeatingandAirConditioning is the contractor that came through and got the job done. read more

I called home depot for a quote for a new force air furnace system install in my attic. New gas line, electrical, Furnace, exhaust flute and new heat ducts to all the room. The quote was quite reasonable $4000 with the permits included. I gotten quotes for $5000 without permits. So the choose was pretty easy. Frank and Johnny great job. they worked long hours to get the job done. Their workmenship was very clean too. Im also happy that Home Depot backs up there work if something goes wrong in the future. read more
