Delicious!! We had three meals here and all were absolutely great. After I was done, I asked if Greek food should be our new comfort food? So tasty, so satisifying! They gyros was delicious, big and absolutely made me happy. They were kind enough to switch out my fries for a Greek salad with great Katamala olives and feta (unlike the much higher prices Harvest in Danville who would not let me substitute!) . Very tasty and fresh. The Mousaka was really great! Sizable portion with great ground beef with great flavors. Fluffy, browned potatoes at the top were wonderful to soak up the sauces from the beef. Side of really fresh veggies, lightly seasoned veggies. The burger was also a real big hit and a worth a trip for a great burger! Sizable, fresh and tasty! it came with what I would considered standard fries. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was very quiet. I had my wedding rehearsal lunch at Demitri on the Saturday before the Coronavirus jolted our world. We had the food planned for a 40 person party until people started backing out left and right. Demitri worked with us throughout the ordeal with kindness, understanding and flexibility. The rehearsal party could not of gone more smoothly! With tomatoes, cucumber, feta, olives, bell peppers, & Greek house dressing, it looked wonderful. We were excited to have dinner at Demitri's Taverna and booked a table for 5 on a Friday night at 6:15pm for my wife's birthday. We arrived around 10 minutes early and checked in. The host said that a 6-top table was paying their bill and they'd clean it for us directly afterwards. As we watched the staff clean off the table to be set again, another party of 5 walked in. They were sat at the 6-top table instead of us. When we asked, we were told it was Demitri's family and they had priority. We were sat at a small 4-top table with a chair pulled up to the side and were extremely cramped with 3 appetizers/mains/drinks and the slowness in clearing empty plates. I know, family comes first, but you don't do that to your paying customers. The food was good, esp. the saganaki (flaming cheese) appetizer, the lamb chops and the complimentary birthday baklava that the staff sent out. Service was meh, as the wait staff are pretty young and inexperienced, needing to ask others when we had a question regarding the food, and not clearing empty plates fast enough. As mentioned above, the food was good, but not good enough to warrant coming back because of how we were treated. There are other restaurants on that block and a more than serviceable gyro at Nick the Greek across the street if I'm craving this type of cuisine. read more

Every time I have been here the food always been beyond delicious and satisfying, especially the gyro. Their service is amazing, the last time I went I had reserved a table for 20 people, I had Zack and Gabriel who served us and assisted us. They both were extremely patient and sweet. I think this is the best authentic Greek restaurant we've ever had. We are no expert on the cuisine, but everything tasted great. The service was absolutely stellar, which helped the entire experience. I myself had the lamb pops - the smaller portion of the lamb chops. I don't like lamb. It's too gamey. I told the waiter and he promised that these are really good and does not have that gross gamey taste. Well, he was right. These were dam good. Not sure if I will try lamb anywhere else because these are hands down best I've had. They were tender, and just flavorful. We also had the calamari. Yet again the waiter said these are the best in the area. He was wrong. These were the best we ever had from any restaurants in any state, hands down. They were fresh. The batter was light and crispy. It was just pure deliciousness. It's not often that when the waiter tells me something and it is actually true. It was not a hyper, just honest recommendations and looks like we both have the same taste. Overall, would come here again next time in the area. For these 2 items specifically. I had the gyros pasta which was delicious as well. We had a slight glitch in service but the owner caught it and for the remainder of the meal our service was spot on. We had 11 people in our party and they accommodated us very well. It is a smaller place so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The staff was very attentive including the owner. Our waiter was very patient and gave great recommendations. We ordered the flaming cheese to start which is a must because it's a fun presentation OPA! With fire and tasted so good! We ordered fries, calamari and bread. For dinner I had the chicken blue cheese which was good, not dry, had good flavor. I actually had the leftovers for lunch the next day and I think it was even better haha. But I think my favorite dish I tasted was the chicken and sausage pasta. It was super flavorful! I'd definitely order that. They have vegetarian options, someone in our party got the veggie pie and she said it was delicious. I brought a bottle of wine, they were happy to open it for us. It was my sister's bday and they brought out baklava and we sang. The kids were given complimentary ice cream. Overall it was a very nice time and we appreciated the service! I had dinner here with my fiancé on a Saturday night. I was looking for more of a mellow kind of evening but it turned out to be quite the opposite. I had no idea that there was a club right next door so throughout the time we spent in the restaurant all I hear and feel is "boom boom, pow pow". As far as the food I ordered the Greek salad and my fiancé ordered the Mediterranean burger. The complimentary bread with dip was delicious! We enjoyed our meals, it was okay. I can't say it was one of a kind amazing, but not bad. Our waiter was on top of things and got our food out quickly, refilled our drinks without having to ask, brought our checks knowing we were done. I wish I could give this review more stars. Although I did get my to go order under 20 minutes, upon arrival I was not greeted and two families went ahead of me while I was standing there in front of the waiter. After about roughly 8 or so minutes the waiter asked me if I wanted to be seated or if I want to take out. I let him know that I would like takeout and he guided me to the other waitress that was going to take my order. While the waitress was asking me what I wanted she was in a full conversation with another waitress and got my order wrong. She said it Would be about a 15 minute wait or so and that it would be placed on the table once it was done. After waiting 20 or so minutes my food was ready and it was cold and the fries were very stale. It looked like they reheated an order that was forgotten. Needless to say, customer service here is not that well. They were not even very busy yet stated they were very busy. There was less than 30 people in the restaurant. Next time please be kinder to your customers and make sure your food is cooked properly and heated well before handing it out. I don't think I will be eating here again. read more
