Purchased a new 2018 DYNAMAX 4 by Forrest River and this thing has so many flaws. The worst is that the slide is tweaked and sticks out at the bottom while the top is snug. This RV is one of the worse RV's I have ever owned. Keep driving if your looking for an RV. read more

Sales dept is average. Service dept is the WORST I have ever dealt with. My brand new RV purchased in June has spent more days in service than it has in use. The majority of this time in service has been due to complete incompetence and inept service people. If you wonder how it takes so long to get a service appt, it's because it takes them 2 and half hours to do a job that even an amateur could do in 15 min. If my RV wasn't under warranty and i was paying labor by the hour, I would NEVER use these clowns. From forgetting to order parts, ordering incorrect parts, installing things incorrectly and general lack of knowledge regarding simple things, it's amazing to me that anyone ever has a "good" experience here. Would not refer or recommend DDRV in Boise, ID to anyone I liked. Bought a brand-new trailer in 2021. Arrived in June. Left it there because of the backsplash being defective, accordion style, and was waiting for the parts to come in. Dealt with Mitch in service. After waiting until Feb. 2022, the parts finally showed up and Mitch called me and said it was repaired and I could pick it up. Went the day before to check it out and Bulls****, the new backsplash was unglued flapping in the breeze. Even the porter that took me to view it said, "that's not good". Well, they fixed it and when I went to pick it up I checked it, looked fine so hauled it home. The next day I went out, opened up the trailer in the daylight and there were huge scratches in the countertop and shavings from the backsplash all over in the sink. Sent Mitch pictures and the story on a Sunday, never heard back from him so I called on Tuesday and he said "oh I didn't see your email", even though he told me the fastest way to get ahold of him was via email or text and he would get right back to me. He gave the pictures to his manager, Susan. Then called me and said that they would give me a free detailing, inside and out worth $3000. Told him it has never been used and he said I didn't have to use it right then. I also asked him if he could find out what size A/C I have, there were no spec sheets with it and the owners manual says to find out from the dealer what size it is. He said he would have a tech call me back. No call. Ended up taking it in a couple days later, got the run around about the A/C. He told me I need to call Winnebago or crawl up on the top of it to see what sized it is. Went in a talked to Susan about how unhappy I was with their service. She got one of the techs to go up on my trailer and look. So I left it there waiting for the countertop and Mitch called me on 3/29, said it was finished and they just need to do a walk through (duh) to make sure everything was done right and he would call me back. He asked me about the detailing and I said I do not want it now. Waited until 4/6 and no call. Sent him a text, no response, on 4/7 I called his number, voicemail box was full, tried the "Award winning" service number, it rang over and over, N/A. Finally I pushed the button for the manager and left her a message. She called me back, was very rude. Told me she had someone coming to look at the countertop to fix it. Told her I want a New one! This is a brand new trailer, not a used one. She said she would call me back. Oh and by the way, we did do the detailing but it rained so it doesn't look so good. DO THESE PEOPLE GET ANYTHING RIGHT. Told her I told Mitch I did not want it detailed at that time. Ended up calling the Manager the next day. Same attitude!! Just whatever anyone does DO NOT BUY FROM DDRV IN BOISE!!!!! Buyer Beware! We purchased a new RV 5/9/20. After a technician reviewed that all equipment was in working order, it was released to us with the understanding that all the equipment was tested and working! On our first trip (early June 12-14, 2020) we discovered that the Norcold refrigerator did not keep our food cold and it spoiled. The RV was returned to dealer for evaluation and repair the 3rd week in June. It has been difficult during this entire process to get timely updates from the Dennis Dillon RV Service Department. Calls to the Service Department almost uniformly go to Voice Mail with a promise to call back by the end of that business day. Calls have been returned 26.6% of the time. -Dennis Dillon RV has had our RV that we purchased on 5/9/2020 in their possession for over 8 weeks and have been unable to repair or replace the refrigerator making the RV unusable for camping. Again, it was released to us, with the understanding that all the equipment was tested and in working order. -During this period, the customer service and communication with Dennis Dillon RV Service Department has been extremely difficult in the context of having calls returned timely and obtaining updates on the status of returning our RV. I spoke with Michael in the Service Department (week of July 13th) that a email from Norcold stated that the replacement refrigerator was in transit and would be received shortly. The week of 8/3/2020, I was informed that the replacement refrigerator has NOT been shipped and it is unknown when it will be shipped. I ordered a spare tire rack and a fuel pump ring for my rzr. I was told they would have them in a week. I went back a week later, they ordered the wrong part for the fuel pump and said they didn't know when the spare tire carrier would be in. They canceled the rack, reordered the fuel pump ring. A week later, I go in to see if the fp ring is in. It is not, they don't know when it will be here. Total failure on their part. read more

First, I contacted the dealership about a boat 2x, which no one called me back. I called them and had to speak with the receptionist, because no one was available. Again, no one contacted me. Later, we went to look at the boat and it was sitting outside near the construction, covered in dirt/ dust....a new $80,000 boat, unacceptable. The salesman seemed determined to have us look at a more expensive boat, so we did. Then, we go inside and it figures that the first boat we looked at was "just bought with a credit card".... well maybe if they would have contacted us in the first place, that wouldn't have happened to us. This was over the span of 1 week. Then, on a NADA price of $16,000 for our RV trade and also for a boat that we own, NADA $9,000, they'd give us only $19,500....I asked about Military Incentive (Retired Army) and the salesman said "I'll go to bat for you"... well obviously he didn't, because after completing the application for the larger boat, 2 days later.... no one called us back. Our credit is excellent and we were willing to even pay 10% down. I called and said "don't run the app, I'm going with someone else, because no one there can seem to call us back...". We just purchased a used travel trailer at DDRV and it was an easy and comfortable process. JR. was the salesman and he was awesome! He is friendly, easy-going and just an all around nice guy. He was really patient with us, as my husband had lots of questions. We never felt any pressure. We decided not to buy the newer model and didn't buy the one we ended up with until our second visit. These guys had a decent deal on a new trailer, but that's where their service ends They lied and held onto our trailer for weeks while "waiting for parts", but that was all bull. All they needed was a tube of caulking. After all of that, it still leaked. Camping World fixed it in about an hour. Now I find out that the "amazing extended warranty" they sold me is completely worthless. They must get some kind of kickback for selling a product that gets a 1 star rating and thousands of online complaints for not covering "anything". Where is your "award winning" service? Horrible...after reading the reviews on Google and the internet I am beside myself and cannot believe that they did to me, what they did to everyone else! One person complained that they had their Trailer they picked out Sold out from under them. That EXACT thing happened to me, I put a $1000 Deposit, filled out paperwork, and drove straight through from DENVER COLORADO (12 hours) to find out the SOLD my Trailer! The Excuse they gave was that because I wrote on the paperwork I faxed with deposit that "Deposit Refundable is SUBJECT TO INSPECTION, and trailer is in working order". I told the Salesman I was going to write it, and said "No Problem, write what you want"! I asked them why they sold it and the Salesman told me it was a "Business Decision, the customers were there and you were not." I told them it was a SHITTY Decision and Unethical! Nevertheless, they talked me into buy a more expensive unit, and gave me a FREE HITCH to make up the difference of $5000 and would not lower the price. I also read a review about a person who realize they did not have the keys to the entrance door and had to get a locksmith to come. The same EXACT thing happened to me but thankfully I was still in town, and when I called them they told me that there Service Guy Brett was Amazing and they know him for years and believe him over me! The service Department proceeded to tell me that Brett doesn't make mistakes, and in the PDI he actually had to change the lock because it did not work, and that one of the service guys put them in the envelope. (I thought to my self if Brett was so damn perfect how come on the walk through I noticed there were no Fire Detectors installed) . I was sick of being treated like it was my fault so I called a Sales Manger name Brian that showed Empathy for my situation, he told me to bring it in so they could fix it. However, Brian was not going to be there when I got there so he told me to ask for the other Manager Shane when I got there. So thankfully I called ahead and spoke with Shane because he had no clue what I was talking about and he was not informed on anything. I also told him it was ridiculous I had to drive to the dealership with the Trailer when they should be sending someone out with keys or a new lock, he then said he would call me back in a few minutes. . An hour later I called and asked him why he did not call me back, and I got the same story how amazing Brett was, and that the keys are in the trailer. I was sick of being blamed for something I did not do. So I proceed to tell Shane what happen again, just to clarify, and I explained my situation in detail and he responded, I heard the story, your keys are in the trailer you just do not know where they are! He then said "I am going to send someone out to you with the keys, so why are you stilling BITCHING"! I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EARS , I asked him if that is how he speaks to all of his customers, and he replied I am going to send someone isn't that enough. I told him it was NOT ENOUGH I wanted them ALL to hear what happened INCLUDING him, and stop being accused of losing the keys when II never got them. So I made him listen to me and told him I left my UNIT while they were still doing PDI, and came back to transfer the stuff from my unit to the other, and they were parked right next to each other with all the doors open. Then once I was done transferring the stuff, I asked my Sales Guy Rob where they were and he said I have them, I said no I don't, then I remembered a box with all of the papers sitting in the trailer, and I saw an envelope that had the keys and paperwork, so I told Rob they were in the new trailer, just to realize the keys were to the outside storage compartments. Then when I was done telling the story, he still made a comment that he saw all my stuff I was doing, and they are in my trailer somewhere! Then he said he was sending someone with Keys, so I said to him, REALLY?? are these the ones that I was supposed to have?? He said NO and they might work, I asked him to be PROACTIVE, if they were going to bring a new lock just in case, he said to me "why are you thinking NEGATIVE" I told him I was thinking PROACTIVE and BACK UP Plan. So sure enough they sent the lot guy Robby with Keys and THEY DID NOT WORK! So of course he had to go all the way back to the RV Dealership to get a new lock and had to come back to swap it out. I must say out of EVERYONE I dealt with at the DEALERSHIP, the only person that showed any bit of EMPATHY and Professionalism was there Lot Guy Robby. As far as I am concerned he showed more skills on customer service than all of the employees I dealt with at Dennis Dillon RV in Boise! I really wish I read all of the reviews about this dealership before making my purchase, regardless, what done is done.... I recently took my 2016 Fleetwood Flair into DD RV to have the wardrobe slide and awning rehoned. Also I requested several maintenance items to be serviced. Kevin set up my appointment, reviewed the items I needed to have done, called me with an update 4 days later, and my motorhome was done 7 days later. When I picked it up, Kevin walked me through all items that were repaired or serviced, and then spent time providing me information and answering my questions about my motorhome. After my first trip with my new RV I returned my unit to DDRV for service. My dashboard unit for GPS, Radio, etc was not working. A few other minor items also needed work. It took them seven weeks to complete the work. One of the repairs was a water leak with the hot water system. We just returned from another trip (within just a couple weeks after picking up our repaired RV) and the hot water system is still leaking, so now I have to return to them again for service. My main complete with their service is that they never answer their phones. My phone keeps track of how many times I call a number. I have called them 39 times in the last two months about repairs and have only gotten to speak with someone five times. My suggestion is go somewhere else. read more

We had service work done here in October, 2012 . Needed hookup for our Lance pickup camper on our new 2013 Chev truck. Never again!! They didn't do the job right the first time so we had to return and was charged full price a second time and it still wasn't done right. They didn't know what they were doing and we had to go elsewhere to repair their botched job. The Dennis Dillon service manager was very arrogant when we complained. Worst experience in shopping for trailers. The pre qualification I understand as I have been in retail sales for a long time. When they understood the vehicle we had he was interested. When I got us more qualified as to what We were looking for he brought us back and said he got a call to the office and left us out there while he got a different sales call. It was so abrupt and disturbing the way it was handled and transpired we had to leave. I don't care how much experience you have in sales what will make you successful is treating the customer in front of you as a priority. Needed service on my RV - Had driven in from out of state and my refrigerator was not working. I thought I had killed my RV. Although they did not have any service appointments open, they did have a person who could come out on site and help us out. The technician was able to fit us in within a couple of days. We needed a fuse replaced. Not only did he replace the fuse, he also told us the conditions that it had probably blown so that we would be prepared in the future. I expected a BIG bill, since it was on short notice and the tech came to us. Less than $200. Made my day and vacation!! Thanks to DDRV, we have a working refrigerator and had a wonderful vacation. read more

A year ago we visited DDRV, looking for a 2108 DS Winnebago. Their website indicated that they were on its way. Sales rep said it could be 6 months. We purchased our unit online and were told that we could have it serviced at any Winnebago dealership and DDRV would be our closest. When we picked up our unit there were a couple of noted issues such as the front decal peeling. They stated that one had already been ordered and they would mail it to me when it came in, which they did. We then set up an appointment for having the decal put on at DDRV and a couple of other minor repairs and brought our unit in on 10/19/21. I actually thought that I could wait for the repairs to be completed as they were that minor. Good thing I didn't as it was just short of 4 months before they were. I had hoped to have the trailer back to store under cover instead of in their lot for the winter. Every two weeks I would call and would then be told it would be ready in two weeks. I picked up my unit 2/16/22 and was told that I was being charged for the work done to the door striker plate ($61.57) as it had been altered and Winnebago would not cover for those repairs. I explained that the only thing altered was to fix it enough so that the door would close and stay closed and certainly should be covered by the warranty. The Rep said well, you did not buy the unit from us. I responded "We tried." It was either pay the $61 or leave my unit there. Winnebago Care was contacted and stated that I needed to send in the receipt which I did. They questioned the amount as I only sent the receipt of payment so the break down was subsequently sent. ($4.25 for the striker plate, $50.70 labor and $6.00 Environmental Waste Disposal = $61.67) Seriously? This is pretty close to fraud. Winnebago indicated that I would be reimbursed so that is taken care of, however, I thought others should be made aware should they be dealing with DDRV. It was not a good experience! read more

I wish zero stars were an option. We are in the market for an Outdoors RV and wanted to look at them. I completely realize the scarcity of models during Covid. However, Dennis Dillon website advertised as having 81 units on site. No matter what filters you used on their website they said they were located in Boise and onsite. In retrospect, we should have called and confirmed before traveling 7 hours but nobody else miss-represents their inventory like they do. Sumner, Thompsons, Lassen all say, "pre-order" or "on order". When the salesman arrived he greeted us with the news only to mention it happens "all the time". He tells management etc. We then tried to salvage the visit by looking at what they did have on the lot and the salesman said 80% of the units were unlocked. We tried 15 units and found one unit unlocked. The salesman did not bother to follow us to the yard. I will never visit this dealership again and I recommend you consider Bish's down the road and talk to Charles who was great but he just didn't have what we were looking for. If the company has to lie to get you on site by completely miss-representing their inventory, do you really think they will help you during a warranty repair? read more

Dennis Dillon sold me an RV with numerous problems that they had to have known about but did not divulge at the time of sale. I was told that if I had a problem and gave them a week notice they would take care of any issues. One month after my purchase of this RV I called the service department to try and schedule an appointment only to be told that they were extremely busy and could not fit me in for at least two weeks. The service adviser told me he would see what he could do and that I should call "his" personal number in an hour. I called "his" personal number as requested twice and left messages on a female's answer machine. I then called the service department directly and left a message on their answer machine to have anyone call me back. It has now been three weeks since my calls and I have not heard from anyone from this dealership. I can only conclude that this dealership only cares about the sale, not after sale service. Just purchased a new tent trailer form Dennis Dillon. Was told that the brake box would be included in the agreed upon buying price. The sales person quickly ran through the details, writing down lots of numbers and then hurrying us to talk to the finance person. After getting home and looking more closely over the documents we were charged over $800 more than what we agreed on. Yes we should have looked over it more closely while we were there, but their sales practices are far from honest and up front. Do not buy from this company!! We have a camper that is a year and a half old that we bought last February 2017. Forest River Sandstorm. We've taken it to Dennis Dillon RV service because five of the LED lights quit working all in one weekend and the side of the camper is bulging out because air is getting underneath the siding when you drive down the freeway. Dennis Dillon will do nothing for this because we are passed our one year warranty. This is not usual wear and tear this is absolute crappy workmanship that should be covered by a company that would like to have their name known for good service. In addition to having our camper for two months we never once got one phone call from the service department. We've had to call them each time and each time they said they were working on it. Now that we need to pick up our camper They said that they can do nothing because it is not covered. Dennis Dillon will never get my patronage again! I was looking at a Winnebago RV online at DDRV in Southern California and couldn't pull up the window sticker to see what options this particular RV had on it. I also clicked on the E-price button and was then asked to fill out my name and email information and someone would get back with me. There was also a box that I filled out asking about options since it didn't list them. No one has emailed me back in two days. In light of this I went to Yelp to check out the reviews on their customer service and it's full of one star reviews, which after my online experience I can understand. Driving through ID, we encountered a belt squeak that was really loud in our Astro van. The service center said it was probably the tensioners BUT then upon examination said the AC compressor was leaking oil onto the belt. We left Boise after spending $1000 and the squeak returned 2 weeks later. Our mechanic in Los Angeles said that we didn't need that AC compressor. So, we would warn you that this company is not above selling you something you don't need. When I emailed the service manager about this she said the belt was under warranty and didn't mention my complaint about selling something we didn't need. And, the local GMC dealer here said DD put on an after market belt and it wouldn't be covered by warranty. Be careful! They are extremely nice people which makes you want to trust them. read more

But he is a total douche who will shotgun your info out to 18 (not an exaggeration) different banks, even after he promises you that he would never do that because he "has strong relationships with many of the local banks." He will try to sell you a much bigger unit than you can actually afford or even want so that once you go to a respectful dealership and find a coach that you can afford and actually want, you will discover that you will have an incredible time finding a bank that hasn't already turned you down through Dennis Dillon. If you value your sanity and prefer buying from a dealership that listens to your wants and needs, skip this one. If you like being strung along for days and lied to, Shain is your guy. read more

I agree with some other reviewers that it is unfortunate we cannot give a ZERO to businesses because this one certainly earned it. Here are a few reasons I would NEVER recommend Dennis Dillon RV: 1. We chose the travel trailer we wanted. The trailer is awesome, we have no complaints there. There were some items that needed to be repaired and the unit was very dirty (brand new trailer). We were told there was no problem with doing the repairs because Outdoors RV has such a great warranty on their products (true) and that their detail crew would have it so clean we could "eat off the floors" they were just "so great." We went in to finalize the sale and were told by Jeremy, the sales manager, the repair to the floor would not be done and that WE would have to contact the factory. We called the factory and had a wait an hour for a call back because it was lunchtime there. After finally reaching the service department, we were told it was "no problem, but why wasn't the dealership taking care of it for us?" We wondered that as well, and when we told Scott, our salesman, that the factory wasn't very happy, suddenly Jeremy agreed to do the repair. We had a list of 4 items that needed to be taken care of, they agreed, and we arranged to pick up the trailer the next week giving them time to install our accessories (which are marked up exorbitantly). 2. We arrived a week later to pick up the trailer. After spending 6 HOURS with our salesman, just the week prior, he did not remember us, at all. Nice work! During our walk through, we discovered NONE of the repairs were done. They put some putty-like material over the spot on the floor and didn't even bother with the other repairs. Fortunately, our serviceman, Cody, was awesome (the only person I recommend there) and took care of the repairs for us, but we had to wait an hour for them to be completed. The "amazing" detail crew SUCKS. The trailer was not cleaned, at all, and when we brought it home I spend about an hour cleaning it. 3. We were promised both our propane tanks would be filled as well as the water tanks. We drained the water because we had a 2.5-hour drive home and didn't need the extra weight, but took their word for it that our propane tanks were full. We just discovered, after one weekend of using the trailer, they not only did not fill both tanks but instead only partially filled one. 4. We were promised a Yeti cooler as part of a promotion. When we picked up the trailer, we were told that it was ordered. We received a call this week confirming that the cooler was what we wanted and told they, in fact, had not ordered it. Our experience was one lie after another. There is no way I would EVER recommend anyone purchase anything from these shysters. To be clear, Outdoors RV products are great, their warranty is what they say and we have NO complaints with them. This dealership; however, is another story. read more

After having 2 terrible experiences with camping World, we took our RV to Dennis Dillon to be serviced. They were great! They fixed everything properly and quickly. They were professional and courteous. Camping World didn't fix anything they were supposed to, and the things they did touch, they either broke or lost. Dennis Dillon fixed the mistakes Camping World made, and fixed everything Camping World didn't. Give Dennis Dillon a chance!
