We came to collect my free birthday breakfast. They were not too busy when we got here. But now, it's busy. Our waitress was Shanteir W, she was awesome!! Very good attitude. Our food was good ( mine especially because it was free!) The restaurant was clean and not too noisy.

My wife and I enjoy going to Denny's. We discovered this one in Bellflower. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and quiet. Our server this afternoon was very pleasant. she greeted us with a smile, seated us, and was very attentive. She gave us time to view the menu and answered questions. My wife, salmon plate came with wild rice and sweet corn as her two side orders. The corn was sweet, the wild rice was tender, and the salmon was grilled just right not too moist not too dry. I tried their new seasonal dinner plate. Fish and a choice of french fries or roasted potatoes, salad, or vegetables. I enjoyed the fish because it was fresh cod and was deep-fried just right. The salad, well it's a salad, but it was fresh. The roasted potatoes, however, we're not what I was expecting. They were a bit on the mushy side. Next time I would just go with french fries. The reason I gave this Denny's four stars was because our server was very pleasant.

Had a meeting here. Went with the T-bone steak and eggs. Can't miss right? Customer service was good. Banquet room was worth it. Separate and quiet enough to take care of our meeting. Food was just ok. T-bone was kind of tough. Flavor was great. Just a little too tough for me. I honestly cook better steaks at home. Overall not bad.

FYI!!! I was shocked to see little contents in a big container (no I didn't eat it yet, lol). The server still served it to us and didn't tell us anything about it before we left the restaurant and when we placed the order. The server even said it herself that she wouldn't have served it. And ALSO! Continued to explain to us when she saw us come back through the entrance doors, she KNEW what we were coming back for. Crazy! and she knew people would order this off the menu and come back to the restaurant for an explanation or a refund.The server that gave us this further explained to us that this is the exact amount of apple pie crisp that they give you if you were to be served in the restaurant. I tried to explain to them that disclosing the sizes would be different if in a take out box as opposed to dining in (since they are aware of it) but they wait for you to physically come back in to tell you that. The manager made it clear she was the MOD (manager on duty) thank GOODNESS! For that, but did not offer any resolution. But I did, I'd LOVE one refund to go, please. The server was constantly reminding us about serving portions and how they would look different, which we heard her the first time. There was no drama, no yelling, but advice being given. PLEASE TELL CUSTOMERS THAT TAKE OUT PORTIONS WILL LOOK DIFFERENT FROM DINE-IN( especially for desserts like this) OR change the container size to fit the portions not in a big container like the one in the picture. But will they take this advice? I sincerely would hope so.

Hubby had steak and eggs, and I had the super slam. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Hubby enjoyed his food as well, he said the steak was cooked perfectly. We had coffee and it was perfect, but most of all the super service and hospitality from our hostess Dolores was wonderful. She even ran out as I was pulling off to bring my reading glasses to me as we left Left them on the table. We will go back.

It's Denny's folks, not a 5 star Michelin restaurant...but it's a great Denny's. We were greeted and seated immediately. Everything looked clean. Our server Manuel was efficient, friendly and attentive. The food came out fairly fast, everything was hot. First time asking for eggs over medium and actually getting them over medium. The decor is simple but nice. Free WiFi. Happy to have this new place in our community. read more

My family and I choose this Dennys location for breakfast because we always receive great service from the usual waitress that works on the weekends. I believe her name is Dolores (per our receipt). I called in a order and the waitress (Shanteine I believe) was rude and very impatient when I asked her a question . Then the manager overcharged me and when I asked for an explanation he would only say that's our policy. So good luck if you get food from here, and make sure u check that your bill is accurate. read more

I am in awe of of how fast our service was, from start to finish. We had just placed our breakfast order and 10 minutes later voila. Fresh food on top of the table. On top of that our waitress Dolores was a sweetheart and kept asking if we needed anything over and over. (Loved that!) The manager also asked and made sure we had everything we needed. This was definitely the most pleasant Denny's experience of my life. We will definitely be back. read more

Horrible service. We order quickly and waited then waited even more. It took over an hour to get any coffee refills. When the manager came over, he apologized but it still took way too long. We ended up leaving after an hour and 20 mins without any food and only two cups of coffee. Overall it was a very disappointing experience at the new Denny's. read more

I had not been to Dennys in a few years, but I decided to try this new location. I just have to say, the service was not good at all. Our waitress was very visibly bothered the entire time we were there. I have been in customer service for a very long time, and I can honestly say that when it comes to customers, I am polite and friendly, not a difficult customer, yet I felt like I was making our waitress miserable. I would have given this place 4 stars if not for a serious issue with communication and attention to detail from the staff. Our waitress was great, but I ordered a soy latte due to lactose intolerance. When the drinks arrived, mine had whipped cream, so I asked for a second one with soy milk and no whipped cream, my fiance kept the first drink. I overheard the waitress clearly repeat the order, but the bartender said they were out of soy milk--and admitted the original drink had been made with whole milk. This was extremely concerning. I was served dairy without being informed, which can make me sick. The waitress was apologetic, but this kind of mistake should never happen. Staff should never substitute ingredients--especially allergens--without communicating with the customer first. If I had a dairy allergy rather than intolerance, this could have been a much more serious situation. This felt careless, irresponsible, and unprofessional. Clear communication about ingredients and substitutions is essential in food service.

The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Unfortunately, my refund was not honored because the manager, Aimee, was not present. Karely, the lead on duty, seemed unsure of how to handle the situation and attempted to explain that the sour taste was simply the lemon in the ricotta. That explanation was disappointing because there is a clear difference between the intended lemon flavor and the taste of spoiled dairy. What upset me most was the lack of concern, apology, or effort to make the situation right. As a customer, I expected the issue to be taken seriously, especially when food safety is involved. If a manager is unavailable, staff should be properly trained and empowered to handle customer concerns appropriately. I am currently four months pregnant, which made this experience even more concerning. I wasted my time, gas, and energy driving back to the restaurant, only to leave without a refund or any resolution. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in Downey, and unfortunately, I will not be returning.

The same value here would get me about 30-50% more or so somewhere else, even Cerritos or Long Beach.

This Denny's is great! You're greeted and welcomed with smiling faces! My waitress Lizzie was awesome as she led me thru the restaurant she cordially asked me where I would like to sit. She handed me a menu and asked me what I'd like to drink and brought my coffee and water very quickly! I ordered the cheeseburger special which was very tasty I might add!
