I hate the dennys in antioch so decided to try the new location in brentwood. definitely a lot nicer and clean. One thing i didn't like is that we stood there for like over 10 min and still no one came to help us to seat us until i just called on a worker and even then she was a lil rude and mind you there was a line of people behind me waiting'. It's great to have a Denny's in Brentwood. I tried this place on 4/2/24 which, I think was their second day open. The food was tasty and came out to the table in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is different from other Denny's as they have outside seating and a grassy area with lawn games to play. I haven't seen that at any other Denny's I have been to. I don't want to critique too much as they are brand new and the bugs still need to be worked out, but their service was bad. We were seated quickly, but it took about 30 minutes for our order to be taken. It appeared that the wait staff didn't know that people had been sat at their tables. Food was also being sent out to wrong tables. Every time food was brought to the area we were seated in, it was given to the wrong table. Again, all these issues are something that can get worked out with time. The one thing that I didn't like was that there were multiple manager present, but none of them seemed to be very hands on. I understand that they are all there to supervise the staff and make sure that things are running smoothly, but when you have tables waiting for 30 plus minutes it would be great for management to step in and take some orders. I counted at least 4 employees that were management. Again, I am basing it off of their attire as they were dressed more businesslike than the waitstaff etc. Overall, I think improvements will be made with time and this Denny's will be running smoothly. This review is for a DoorDash order but with that said I had ordered the same thing for dine in a few weeks back and it was the same issue. I thought it was just a fluke the first time. I wasn't charged for my meal but I didn't have time to order something else. I didn't leave a review back then because I did have the salad and we really like Dennys. BUT I felt like a fish dinner again. Yes that is what I had ordered before and I didn't even think twice that it could be bad again. But it was. It was soooo bad. And we ordered 2 fish dinners! If you see the pic on the menu it is golden fried fish...that is not what we received. It was so burnt that the inside..the fish...was crispy! All the pieces were toasty. Grossly inedible. I'm sure it just frozen fish put in a deep fryer how can these be cooked so badly. One side was mashed potatoes. They were liquidy. The onion rings were just the opposite of the fish. They weren't fried enough. They were rubbery. Not even the salad was good as the salad dressing was watery just like the potatoes. And we didn't even get tartar sauce. I don't understand how something this bad could be sent out the door. I could see the fish through the container and I already knew it was going to be bad. We really like Dennys and we will be going back...but definitely not for the fish. read more

Came in for a late lunch. We got seated within 2 min of walking in. I ordered the Chorizo Benedict & my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, I also ordered a side of pancakes. I have never had pancakes that I had to use a knife to cut. The pancakes weren't even hot, like warm at best & tasted horrible. My Benedict was really good & my boyfriend liked his Chicken Fried Steak. It took awhile to get drink refills & the server never came back to see how we were doing, I got her attention since we needed drink refills. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This was the worst experience I've ever had at Denny's. We ordered a steak and eggs and country fried steak meals. We waited for over 2 HOURS for our food. By the time that we had received then the steak was so over done that it was burnt. And the gravy on the country fried steak had developed a skin over it. The toast was cold. My eggs were ice cold to the touch. NEVER will I ever come back to this Denny's again. Get your priorities straight. It's crazy how important the environment can be. Three times now the same thing. I had a long day and everything else is closing so the wife and I head to Dennys to eat and sit and relax a bit. The waitress was nice and the food was ok. The club sandwich is half the size it used to be but that is good because I wanted to leave. I wanted to tear my ears off though. Every time I end up there I remember why I haven't gone in a while. 80s music will be on the ceiling speakers. Ok, that's nice. Problem is the kitchen workers are blasting other music over it and it makes it this maniacal sound and you can't relax at all. You just want to walk out but you're hungry and it's late. If you are considering going here, first blast some music on your phone and then blast a different kind of music over it on the car stereo. If this sounds maddening don't go to dennys. The floor staff are yelling over it to hear the kitchen staff and they are all young and immature and are not considerate of the patrons. Horrible. read more

12/30/25...Three of us walked into Dennys. There were about 8 tables occupied. We were seated right away. Then we waited for about 10 minutes and no one approached our table. No coffee, no water..nothing. My cousin walked up to waitress and she said SORRY, THERE IS ONLY ONE WAITRESS. Wait, what?? So another five minutes go by and I said WE ARE OUT OF HERE. So as we walked out, we let the manager know that there was no one to serve us and we were going elsewhere. By the way this has happened to us before. At around 6pm today, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 my happy family came to enjoy dinner at the new Denny's. We ordered our drinks and hungrily browsed through the menu. I wanted the chicken fried steak! And my son... wanted pancake for dinner. My wife was contemplating either lasagna or a burger. The waiter came back and... ... spilled a whole glass of raspberry ice tea on to our table and on our clothes! Our pants were all wet and sticky. My son's shirt got wet with raspberry ice tea! The waiter, nervous and scared, reacted with a giggle and said sorry.. and left us with not even a napkin or paper towel to help us dry. Poor waiter. It's probably his first job ever. We were able to easily customize our omelettes to include veggies and use only egg whites, no cheese etc. Our server was extremely sweet and although it was really busy, the food came out pretty quickly. Prices are good, coffee is great and overall had a good experience here! Only con is sometimes over the weekend it gets busy. We had to wait 30 mins before being seated. read more

Bay Area Burgermeister here. Checked out the new dennys in the neighborhood with my family last night and naturally, ordered their double cheeseburger (I wouldn't be the burgermeister if I didn't). Patties were of the "smashed" variety, were juicy, had a nice crispy char and a heavy seasoning, maybe a bit too seasoned for my liking. The bun was nice, cheese melted delightfully but there was no sauce that came with it (I added my own ranch). Overall I give it 3.5/5 burgermeister bites. For $15 it was filling and tasty, bigger that in n out or 5 guys but I think I still prefer the taste profile of both of those establishments. Restaurant review: My wife and kids ordered pancakes, eggs and bacon. They all liked their food. The staff was nice and the food came very quick. Overall a nice experience. I'm happy to have a 24 hour establishment down the street that I can order pretty much anything. read more
