Rock and Brews exceeded each category and came in clutch with some bonuses! First, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! I had tacos, which were discounted for Taco Tuesday and allowed for a mix-and-match of chicken, beef, or pork. My wife had the Mediterranean salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a pretzel that was mega yummy. Second, beer! Lots of great choices, and if you prefer a mixed spirit, well, you're in luck, because they have plenty of those too. Third, vibes! Vibes like Cal Tjader came back to life. The place is decked out like your coolest friend won the lottery and created the perfect spot for all of his Rock & Roll lovin' homies to hang and chill. It is hard to pull off this level of focus without being a complete visual disaster or downright tawdry. Luckily for them, the designer understood the assignment. Well done, designer. You deserve a raise. Now, obviously, I'm a fan. One visit. That's all it took. But even after all of that goodness, there is one thing I must share, because it made a good experience a great one, and that thing is not even a thing; it was Matthew! The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. He was taking orders, bringing drinks and food, running payments, and even delivering room service. The poor guy was working like he owed the hotel money. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

After we had been seated and waiting for about 10 minutes the waitress finally came and asked some of us what we wanted to drink. We ordered waters and about 15 minutes later she returned with some of our waters, ignored the rest of our group and didn't ask them what they wanted to drink then left again. After about 20 minutes she returned to take our orders which we had to ask her to take the rest of our drink orders as well as the food. While ordering we had to repeat and make clear what we wanted to eat multiple times because she kept getting it wrong and just not understanding what we were trying to order. I had tried to order mashed potatoes which on the menu it said they were available from 11 am to 11 pm. We asked around 10 pm. Our waitress said they stopped serving them at 9 to which I pointed out the times on the menu. She then said that she served the last of the mashed potatoes to another group and they only make fresh orders within a certain time frame. After 40 minutes she returned with the drinks and some food items. Some of the food items were incorrect and had to be sent back and changed to the correct food. After 20 minutes she came back with the rest. I asked for a Sprite and got just carbonated water. When we told the waitress it was just carbonated water she smelled it like she didn't believe us. Then took it back and didn't ask if we wanted something else. She didn't come back with another drink. I had to hunt her down and ask for a Coke instead. She came back with carbonated water again trying to give me Sprite like she didn't believe us the first time. I had to take it up the the counter and hunt someone down again since no one was to be found, to get a Coke instead. The food came cold, undercooked, and just disappointing honestly. We had to send back our food because our chicken fried steak and eggs had cold gravy. The eggs were undercooked. We got a side of biscuits and gravy that was also cold. I took the food up to the counter to send it back since I knew it would take a while to find someone which it did take a while for our waitress to finally come out from the back so I could send the food back and ask for a manager. After having a manager come to our table and seem not genuinely apologetic and just sarcastic asking if we wanted it cooked again we just said no after the bad and disappointing service and food. We just wanted to leave. After waiting for so long and it wasn't even busy inside I kind of expected the food to be hot and fresh since I assumed that's why it took so long. Our service was bad and we were just tired after a long day. When painfully ordering the food for a while in the beginning the waitress had asked if we wanted the check split which we had said yes. She asked what everyone had ordered so she could separate it and that was a difficult process too that she struggled with. After asking for a manager and returning some of the food. She brought us the full check not split almost like a petty way of making the process to pay our bill difficult because she was upset. The manager had the food we sent back removed. The waitress forgot some items. We had her remove them. Paid the rest and left. I really wouldn't recommend coming here. Just go somewhere else if you're hungry. Seriously. read more

Terrible service. There was a hair in one of the food, the waitress took it off the bill. It was extremely gross and many of us lost our appetite. After letting the waitress, Matilde (a red haired older woman that goes by Matty) know privately, she decided to address it to the cooks, we were sitting near the kitchen. We overheard them mocking us saying they have short hair and they don't have a beard and mockingly said unless it fell out of my eyebrows. The hair found on the food was short. We could see that none of the cooks had a hairnet on. We decided we couldn't eat anymore and wanted to leave. Matty gave us the receipt, and one of us asked for a box. She took a long time to bring the box, Denny's was almost empty at the time. Had to ask again because she had "forgotten". We asked for a manager, they never showed up within a timely manner because Matty said they were on the phone, we waited additional time but after waiting a while, We ended up leaving. Complaint Regarding Uncooked Egg and Unsanitary Conditions at Denny's Orangethorpe Buena Park I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent visit to one of your locations with my son for breakfast. First, I ordered a sunny-side-up egg, but when it was served, the egg white was noticeably undercooked and runny, which is not only unappetizing but also a potential food safety issue. Worse, while we were eating, I noticed a cockroach crawling out from underneath my seat. This was extremely disturbing and unacceptable in any dining establishment. I immediately called an employee, and while they did remove the insect and later called a manager, the experience had already completely ruined our meal. I expect a much higher standard of cleanliness and food quality from a restaurant like Denny's. I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed promptly to prevent future incidents for other customers. After going to the source with my kids to a place called play pie. They all wanted breakfast and which other place to go to that has breakfast at night time and thats close to where I was that is Denny's. We went to Denny's for something I called late night breakfast. We went August 1st. I took my family and most importantly my kids. Their the ones who came up with the idea of breakfast at night. Once we walked in we felt welcomed. The smell they have in the restaurant is very clean. The hostess very friendly. Food was amazing and service too. The manager on duty silvia is aware of the business. She knows when people are coming and leaving. She told us welcome and walked over to our table to let us know if we need anything. On Saturday I went with family to eat and I had the worst service and cold food ever . I usually come in the morning to this location because the service is good but at night is really bad . Our server Wendy has no attitude or she does not have patience at all . I'm telling this to the owner because I work for the restaurant business. I was driving on the 91 and decided to get of to get some quick food. I was going to go to any drive thru but I saw dennys and I decided to try it out since it has been a long time I've had dennys. Back then dennys from my experience didnt have good service but when I went on Wednesday August 18 it was a whole different experience. The manager is on sight and her name is Silvia. First thing I notice is how clean this place is. They follow the protocol from health inspections. I went in July 31 on a saturnday night went to eat after the park with my kids. The manager I believe her name is silvia greeted us with a friendly smile and she gave us recommendations. My baby boy asked for a drink and she brought it for him right away. The drink was nice and cold! Perfect for the weather! When the food came out it came out how its suppose to be warm and tasty. My family & I decided to stop by this Denny's location on Sunday February 21, 2021 before heading to Bakersfield and let me tell you it was great service! Our server was very attentive and knows very well how to treat the customers. We all ordered coffee and Silvia the manager was going around filling the coffee mugs! HERMAN AMAZING JOB! I recently visited Herman's and was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and attentive. This was a terrible experience. I went to dennys on a Thursday at 2 pm, they were not busy at all. Terrible service, took 15 mins to take our order, after tables before us ordered first. Finally the food came about 30 mins later, and they forgot my sons hash browns as well utensils to eat with! They never checked up on us and never refilled drinks. It is currently 8:55as I'm writing this review and they are still open technically till 9 PM and they shut off the lights lock the door. I stood there tried to gently knock on the door and ring the doorbell and these two employees continue to walk by me and ignore me. In the food and beverage industry for over a decade and I have never locked my doors early because I wanted to go home if they lock their doors before closing time then they shouldn't say they're open until 9 PM. I had plenty of time to order one sandwich for myself before they closed and the least they could've done is just told me they closed early for the night instead of ignoring me and continuing to walk past me as I stand there, I will never come to this location again they will never get a good review for me again and I will deter everyone from getting the pregnancy sandwich here way to piss off of pregnant woman. I could literally cry right now. I'm so devastated that I drove all the way here for the sandwich. Whoever owns this location just know that they shut down early because even when I pulled up and parked, they already had their doors closed and locked so I'm assuming 15 to 20 minutes early they close the doors. Went across the street to Jersey Mike's, where I only had a few minutes to spare before 9 PM when they closed and Ryan opened the door and made me a sandwich thank God.

After some waiting, they start calling out orders and somehow the couple behind me got to the front and took the bag. I thought I had heard the employee say #62, but in all that chaos and loudness, I couldnt confidently say or hear it. Eventually, order #63 came up, but was never claimed for a good 20 minutes. I asked the cashier if they can check on my order #62, and they checked the kitchen. Turns out my hunch was correct, and that the couple behind me took my bag. I didnt make a big deal out of it, and the employee said they will remake my order. After waiting for probably 30 minutes total, they were all they way up to calling orders in the 80s. When they gave me my order #62, the employee gave me 2 free gift cards for the waiting and hassle. Im very glad and appreciative of them for handling it very professionally. Just understanding that both parties make mistakes makes all the difference. It also probably helps when you dont be that one angry Karen customer when mistakes happen. Thank you! This was my first time at this particular In-N-Out, but I've been to about twenty others and loved every one of them. The Buena Park location was as good as the rest. There was a long line at the drive-thru, but parking was easy and the actual restaurant wasn't that busy. We ordered and had our food within fifteen minutes, probably less time than it would've taken us to get through the drive-thru line. (I have found this to be true at almost every location.) Service was great, as always. In fact, my three-year-old dropped his cheeseburger on the floor after a few bites, and we got it replaced on the house, just like that. The kids also got little In-N-Out sticker activity books to play with, which kept them entertained for minutes at a time. I got my usual order, a double double with grilled onions and a heaping side of whole yellow peppers from the condiment stand. Pure deliciousness. My boys got a grilled cheese and a plain cheeseburger, and they both ate well. We got some fries, too, and while I'm not a particular fan of In-N-Out fries, I ate my fair share of them. We hit the bathrooms on our way out, as we had a long drive ahead of us, and I noticed the bathroom situation was less ample than the typical In-N-Out, maybe because this one wasn't right off the freeway (I do think the restaurant was smaller overall, but this was the only way that mattered for us). Just a couple of single bathrooms instead of the usual stalls, and we did have to wait to use them. In any case, this was an excellent, easy dinner, the perfect way to end a long day in Buena Park. I look forward to my next In-N-Out meal, wherever it might be.

Very Disappointing Service…read more Today, 8/19/2026, I ordered food from this location, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the service. One of the employees who helped me had a very bad attitude. I received two packets of sweet sauce and two packets of spicy sauce. I returned the two sweet sauces and asked if they could be exchanged for spicy sauce. Instead, she told me I would have to pay $0.30 per sauce. I didn't have change, so I paid with my card, but I was not going to pay another $0.60 for two additional sauces. When I told her I was returning the two sweet sauces and asked if she could at least give me one spicy sauce, she became upset and threw the bag of sauce toward me. Honestly, this was very unprofessional and disrespectful. After this experience, this will be the last time I come back to this location. Very poor customer service.
