There are always several Dennys no matter where you go and what city you visit. Every experience to date has been perfect. Today was the worst service I have ever had....not only did a piece of metal fall out of the syrup on top of a pancake. But when Bree came to see how we were and we explained it to her in a calm manner she took offense and got very unprofessional and snippy. My water glass was dirty, never got refills on our water. I went to the Casa Grande, Az Denny's today for breakfast. I realize that its Mother's day and that it would be busy and as expected the restaurant was very busy and very crowded. Upon entering I was forced a to wait 5 min to be acknowledged while the hostess and 3 other staff carried on a conversation about available seating. I was alone and after giving my name and requesting seating for one, I was seated within 5 minutes at 10:35 am and the waitress brought me coffee and took my order at 10:40 am. I was forced to wait 45 minutes for my order to be served at 11:20 am and when it was served it was incorrect. I informed the waitress that she had served me a Denver Omelet when what I had ordered was a Ham & Cheese Omelet. The waitress then informed me that the menu had changed and that I could NOT order a ham & cheese omelet even though the menu clearly had a Build your own omelet option and Ham & Cheese were available as choices. when I questioned this explanation I was told that the Denver omelet was my only option. I canceled my order and left. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Even though it was very busy I do not think I should have been forced to wait 45 min for my order and when I Informed the waitress that my order was incorrect the staff should have apologized and brought me the correct order instead of offering lame excuses and Lies. I now realize why Denny's has such a poor reputation and why so few people recommend going there as an option for a meal. I will never go to this Denny's ever again. read more

I can't comment on the food because out of the 2 times I've gone to this particular Denny's no one ever helped me! The service was horrible! The first time I went was at night and I stood there 10-15 minutes and no one ever addressed me verbally while making eye contact. A couple days ago the young lady at the front door told me that I could choose a seat when everyone else that walked in the door was seated, then the 2 people that was working the area that I was in both made eye contact with me, never addressed me, served everyone around me, the guy even went to the both 2 booths down from me to check on that guest and kept walking after she said" yes she was ok". I'll never go to that Denny's, I even had my veterans hat on so no acknowledgement of any kind if you're the wrong color. We are frequent customers at this Denny's and up until recently our experience has been fine. We went with a friend and her 2 children, so their was 3 adults and 4 kids all together. First thing they were struggling to accommodate the prom kids that came in shortly after us so we came up a solution that worked well for the servers. So we switched tables and did all that jazz. We all ordered our food and it took FOREVER to get everyone's food. Half of the food came out and it was like 20 mins before the other half came out. My poor friend repeatedly asked for her wings and ranch and the server kept "forgetting". Finally we were able to settle our bill. Ended up receiving a percentage off our bill as well as 2 25% coupons to use next time. So we went back a few days later. The girl told us we could sit at the one booth and my husband and I said no because it was dirty and sat in the booth we walked by that was cleaned. The same girl came and gave us our menus and we informed her why we weren't at the original booth. We sat in the booth, our kids colored their menus, and we waited. We had several servers walk past us but no one stopped to take our drink order. I looked at the table next to us and the server was giving the lady a back rub. I was beyond livid because my children were getting upset. Finally after 20mins I told my husband we were leaving. We walked out and my husband informed the girl that no one even took our drink order and she looked at us as if we did something wrong. It was really nice for them to give us coupons to use and we cannot because they cannot provide basic services. Train your staff better and get organized. read more

Yes I am giving a chain restaurant a 4. On our way to a Thanksgiving dinner in Vail we had made plans to stop for breakfast in Casa Grande. I voted for Cracker Barrel, one vote for IHOP and 3 votes for Denny's so that is where we went. We stopped in with a party of 6 and were seated immediately. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. Our drink orders were taken and filled right away. The 4 year old in our group got his breakfast first. All the food came out quickly. There were no problems with improperly cooked/cold/burnt/screwed up ordrers. The few additional requests (I asked for butter for my grits) we made were handled quickly and with a smile. This is definitely one of the better Denny's I have been in and would not hesitate to make this a road stop again. read more

Being that Casa Grande is an elderly mecca you would think there would be more mom and pop breakfast places... this is not the case. So we have to settle for chains. Having woke up with a craving for pancakes... we decided to travel over to Denny's for breakfast. Being that it was Saturday morning, we went right in and were seated right away. It was busy in the restaurant and we waited for about 5 min before our waitress came to get our drink order. We gave her our drink order and also our food order. I ordered the all you can eat pancakes for only $4! And my wife ordered the french toast breakfast. The food came fast and was brought to us by the manager. The food was hot and for a Denny's it was good. The waitress kept our drinks full and anticipated my next order of pancakes and put the order in. There is a reason that this place is empty in the afternoon and evenings and it's not the food. Other than a couple of servers, this is the most unfriendly place we have ever eaten. Prior to Covid we ate here 3-4 times a week and were welcomed with hugs and great service. Now it's the pits, to our regret today is the last time we will be eating here. The servers often outnumber the customers and still can't manage to give friendly service to the 3-4 customers they do have. There are exceptions of course, a Latina, a black lady and a gay guy when we are lucky enough to get them. We eat out 5-6 times a week and spend about $200 or more a week doing so in a town that has very limited dinning for a healthy meal. My wife is tired of cooking at 78 and we enjoy dinning out but we will not spend hard earned money being treated like crap and tipping 20% for the privilege. One might think with Covid still going strong in Arizona that a restaurant would try to keep regular customers happy! read more

Denny's is Denny's. I'll keep this short. This is probably a somewhat unfair review because I seem to have uncovered a misleading chain policy at this location. But... If you check the value menu, you'll see endless soup and salad for $6. If you add $0.99, you can get chili instead of soup. What the menu fails to tell you is that the chili isn't endless. You get one bowl. The salad is still endless, sure, but that's not what's promised by the menu. Very misleading. I'd leave it at one star, but the waitress, upon seeing my crestfallen face, was kind enough to check with the manager without my asking. And she was fairly attentive for our entire stay. I come to this diner so often I have made friends with the waitresses over the years however within the last year I am disappointed more and more often. 1st the cooks never make the eggs or pancakes correctly. I order the super slam with over medium eggs and the whites are almost always runny or overcooked and the pancakes undercooked. 2nd they are always out of something, whether it be ranch, burgers, or coca super annoying when they are one of the only places open 24 hours and I'm a night owl. 3rd the servers are normally good especially Bree, Paula, Barbra and Tanya to name a few however there are two might time waitresses who's customer service has caused me to discover IHOP. Andrea is one and I will NEVER go when she is there, she is rude and doesn't listen. Rhianna is the second she has excellent customer service however it's disturbing to listen to her talk to her co-workers including the use of foul language to where customers can easily overhear. I'm in town visiting my family for Christmas for the first time in 9 years. We stopped at this Denny's location for late breakfast, around 11am, because we were starving. It was the absolute worst experience at a sit down restaurant I've ever had. I actually prefer Walmart McDonalds or Waffle House at 3am. All of our food was cold, while at the same te looking like it was burnt and dehydrated fit for a space trip. We are a family of very reasonable and understanding people, we get it that it was the day after Christmas and also understaffed, but nobody apologized for the poor quality of food and the manager heard the complaint and did absolutely nothing about it. When we ordered our food, our waitress said they were out of hashbrowns. 30 minutes later when we got our breakfast food, one of our plates had really old hashbrowns on it. I suspect they were reusing old plates of food for new guests to eat to be honest. read more

ALERT - Caution, their food tastes contaminated by kitchen cleansers. Just returned from breakfast, my husband and I eating different foods. Everything we tried to eat had a soapy taste. The hash browns, especially, tasted really "funky". . We both had a very bad metal after-taste in our mouths. The service was good - that's why the one star. I hesitantly give this Denny's Location 3 stars. It's a good deal smaller than most locations and feels very cramped. It took a while to get our entire order as it came in 3 separate trips (table of 4). After we had our meals we had to ask a couple of times for silverware. The server was very polite, but really had her hands full and I don't fault her at all. I thought she was very courteous and was really trying. The food was good aside from the French toast we got that was, well....just toast. (No eggs and was pretty crispy.) We didn't want to make a big deal if it because of how long we had already been there and also how cramped it was. I've never been to this location before but I'll be hesitant to return.
