The problem with this Denny's location is that it's makes all other locations I've ever been to look bad. Like "this is now the only Denny's I go to," bad. There can be a wait at normal busy times, like weekend mornings and brunch times, so be prepared. Otherwise the food is always on point, the staff is ridiculously friendly, helpful, nice, caring, and understanding, and the place is always clean. This is my go to restaurant for diner food. It has been for 12 years. read more

I was hoping to have some awesome pancakes, what my family and what I got were more like frisbees we could throw and break windows with. The bacon was under cooked and the ham on my Lumberjack slam was drier than a desert. What saved them from a 1 star was the eggs were cooked OK, they did try to change out the pancakes, but the new ones were not much better and we did have good service. My experience here was better than any other Denny's I have been to. The service was fast and friendly, the food was very good (for Denny's). There are many choices on the menu so everyone can find something they like. I ordered the chicken and avocado Caesar salad. It was a very large salad with plenty of chicken and half of a large avocado, bacon bits, croutons, and a small bowl of Caesar dressing on the side. Way better than I expected at Denny's. Not sure if it is just this location or if all Denny's have undergone a change for the better, but we will be back (at 3:00 a.m. and we need a big meal). read more

They have menu from $2-8 & a good variety of different items if you're not into breakfast. Orange juice was good, of course not fresh, but wasn't too bitter or watered down. It took my daughter today for an early dinner and we had the worst experience ever. The place was empty only us, the order was taken wrong, a lady from the kitchen kept coming back and forth to us to take the correct order and save the day. We had our main course before the appetizer, some missing ingredients from our dishes. The grilled chicken and meatballs seems to be coming from frozen grocery bags and not made from scratch. I've never had Denny's before, and I believe i'll never have it again. I had the pick 2 appetizers plate, and to sum up in a couple words... gross and frozen. The tenders I ordered didn't even taste like real chicken. They broke apart so odd, and the chicken pulled away from the batter. The only good thing I had was the French Toast, that was edible. We've been coming to this Denny's for years. The lines seem long when we arrive but the staff do a great job of getting people seated. All the waitstaff are courteous and attentive. The food is always good, hot, and delivered to order. The coffee is delicious! It's bold and flavorful, but not bitter. read more

I love me some Denny's from time to time. This Denny's can get pretty busy on the weekends so I would try to avoid going from 8-10am. Either go super early or go after 11 to ensure you don't have to wait for a very long time. Parking can be a bit of a pain as well since it's limited due to all the other tenants in that shopping strip. Other than that, I've always had a good experience here. Last time we were here with friends and our kids, our waitress was very nice. She even brought out the kids' food out first so that they wouldn't go crazy hungry. Denny's offers coupons as well so it makes it a cheap and great breakfast for the family! :) read more

Service at this location was great. Like all other Denny's, we were greeted and seated immediately when we walked in. But this is the 1st location I will review because the service was great. Our server was named Francisco - very friendly and courteous. He made sure we had what we needed and even offered kid snack for my daughter. The place is clean compared to other locations we've been to. During our visit, the manager was checking with each table to make sure everything was good. That's a nice gesture because you rarely see managers walking around to greet customers, etc. While eating our meal, I overhead Francisco servicing other tables and he was just as courteous and friendly to all his tables. If I have a craving for those pumpkin pecan pancakes again, I'd come back to this location. read more

We visited on a Saturday night, our server Katie was a sweetheart and her customer service was great. However, our food took well 40min. to come out and when it did, all of our dishes were incorrect or missing something. You could clearly hear employees arguing and yelling at each other in the back, creating a not so friendly environment for the customers. The manager came by to check on us and let us know they had some new employees working and that's understandable but to the gentleman who was consistently yelling at his peers I just wish he would understand that it was unprofessional and uncalled for. He was impacting the customer experience in a negative way and more than likely creating a negative image for the new team members. read more

We were nicely seated by the host, which was good, but then after sitting for a solid 10 minutes without seeing our waiter for even a drink order, my mom had to get up to kindly but firmly demand a waiter... So he finally shows up, and of course we already know what we want since we had so much time lol and not too long after that he brought out our drinks... We ate here with our family of 5 plus 2 relatives visiting from out of town. Let me first off say, we've eaten here before and had a pleasant experience thus the reason for coming back. Our waitress was not the nicest person and also had long, manicured nails which she stuck in our food as she handed us our plates. After eating as we left the restaurant, the manager follows us outside and asks us if we paid our bill. Wth? He failed to go to our table and see the cash we left with the receipt there. I'm a high schooler at Cinco and we have a theater tradition to go here after our cast parties. The staff is always so patient after crowds of teens come in to eat and chat and they always get us our food in a pretty short amount of time. Considering we're usually there from 11 until early in the morning, the staff are very patient with us and never fail to shock me with how amazing they are at serving so many high schoolers!Atmosphere is great and very clean. This is the tiniest Denny's we've been to. Friendly staff. Dirty tables, seating. Floors--- so imagine the kitchen? Well, we didn't have to. Honestly, we were sick with stomaches about a half hour after our meal. We both had a burger and a bite of pancakes from our kids. Pancakes were soooo good! However, the burgers seemed ok. The water tasted really funny, so we didn't drink anything. I think the illness was definitely from the hamburgers, because only we were affected. My family and I were very disappointed. My sons cup was covered with food particles. When it was replaced they brought him the wrong drink. The table was stickey from pancake syrup. Do not eat at the Denny's on South Fry Road in Katy TX. The person at the front desk is extremely rude. We were a group of about five small families going to have a late dinner together. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, the receptionist gave us an attitude and twice said something like "so why didn't y'all call and make a reservation ahead of time???" We were looking forward to have a good time at a restaurant that we all go to frequently. We were also excited about the "kids eat free" promo that we were going to avail of. Not only did end up eating somewhere else, but it drained the life out of our evening.
