My hubby and I got "creative" with our ordering (I don't eat meat or eggs) and the waitress (Elizabeth?) was very helpful with easily figuring out how to make the order easier and cheaper. The cook even separated out the various items so that we had our own dishes! Above that, Elizabeth knew the menu and even recipe changes that had been made over the years. We only stopped here as it was near the Tesla super charging station. My husband likes breakfast so he was ok but I ordered the bacon avocado cheeseburger. It was gross. The meat was a grease bomb but they gave you plenty. The melted cheese looked like plastic. All I could eat was the avocado lettuce and tomato. Fortunately the server removed charge of my meal. We stopped for a driving break and a snack around 10:30 pm on a Thursday evening. Nicole our server was great, friendly and warm. She was at the end of her shift but made sure we were served on time and had everything we needed. The service was great. The food on the otherhand was a disaster. The Moonoverhammy was just weird. Egg and ham sandwitch with way too much leftover ham. I ordered Eggs and Sausage. The sausage was very old and looks like it had been in the warmer for many hours. Service was bad, wasn't even busy since it is in a small town. Bathrooms were filthy, toilets GROSS, no seat covers. I hope employees do not have to use the same bathrooms. Blinds and window seals were dusty. Order was wrong and there wasn't a sorry or an offer to get me anything else. Staff seemed more annoyed when asked for items. Manager sat in a booth on her phone, I thought she was a customer but she wasn't since employees were coming out from back to talk to her. This is a clean one, friendly wait staff and the food is decent and on time, this is a busy location and let's face it it's a Dennys not some French Cafe. Good parking basic seating booths and tables the coffees hot and the food is cooked. The silverware is clean the cups are not stained. Restaurant was busy but not yet slammed... Staff was appropriate to the business on a midday Saturday... Restaurant was sparkling clean and setup for the day - parking area, grounds, waiting space, dining area, bathrooms, what we could see of the kitchen access... Every person - hostess, server (Rosario L), busser, even someone cleaning another table - was friendly beyond words... Sorry, I did not catch the other names... Service was prompt - no more than six or seven minutes from the time we placed our order until it was delivered... Great food - apple, cranberry, grilled chicken salads with balsamic vinaigrette dressing, new to us and wonderfully fresh with great presentation... Very obviously, the management of this restaurant makes a serious effort to properly train and motivate the staff... Slow times surely are spent cleaning every nook and cranny as well as making sure the visual impact for an arriving customer is inviting and warm... Someone has taken the time to properly train the staff in the art - and it is an art - of gracious customer service... Every single person made eye contact and had a welcome word for us... At least three of the staff thanked us for our visit as we left and invited us to return... If every Denny's appeared as this one in Kettleman City and treated customers the way we were treated, there would be a waiting line out the door and down the street beyond their ability to handle... read more

in this day and age of coronavirus i understand the need for restaurants to have us eat outside and services we had are no longer available but i do not understand why companies like dennies cheapen there food and menu the menu doesn't have many dinners mostly only chicken and there pancakes which use to be buttery light vanilly are not like bisquick pancakes. but this one i can't complain about my burger it was very good it was the service of the gal waiting on us. she came out side with a disgruntle attitude like we were annoying her just by being there and causing her unnecessary work, she came out with our burgers and giving us two of the dinky containers not full one for each of us. my burger was large this gal had no incentive no way guess to think ahead and know that was not enough for the burgers and fries. took her so many trips for one thing of another if she would have brought two of those containers filled and the side of mayo i told her i would like when we ordered, and salt and pepper all at once she would have satified customers but it like pulling an arm and leg to get her to bring anything her attituted was horrible she accted like we were an annoyance and when it came to pay , we did have the check she was no where to be found we hollard inside the door but nothing so we went inside after waiting 20 minutes for her to show herself and take our money read more

This is my first time time at this Denny's, and probably my last. The service was not bad he was very polite, but they need a lot more experience on waitering our server never came once to check if we needed something else and would forget the things we asked him for. Plus I asked for a glass with ice and the glass had red lipstick on it, it was grows. I immediately asked for another one and he didn't even apologize. Only place to stop for breakfast on interstate 5 heading south to LosAngeles. Easy off easy on full service mile long area to gas up, restaurants. It's in the middle of no where south a few hours from Sacramento. The restaurant is fairly new and opens about 6am. The wait staff friendly and Juliana is the early shift and she always is pleasant so early in the morning. Nothing like a good breakfast to make you roll into LA! I mean Denny's is a place where you don't expect much but actually it was an overall good experience. And most of that was due to the outstanding service. The food quality was really good, probably one of the best meals I've had at a Denny's.
