Denny's is Denny's but you're on the road, and you're going here whether you want to or not. The kids menu is fantastic. The cheeseburger was 100% beef and actually a whole burger, not a mini one. It comes with one side for kids. Great value. Why this Denny's is awesome is the service. It starts at the top so whoever the manager is, bravo! True and sincere customer service. This is our second time here. We had a short time frame as we were charging our car next door. We were seated immediately as there were only a few customers. My family and I were greeted warmly by Gabrial, he had such great energy and acknowledged and greeted my kids as well. He asked us our preference for a table or booth. Our food came out quickly after ordering. Everything came out right, looked and tasted great. Gabrial even brought out plenty of ranch without us even asking. Gabriel was very polite and courteous, great customer service which is hard to encounter these days. The place was spotless as there were workers cleaning the floor and wiping the tables. Another server greeted us when we were done eating and quickly brought us a container and check. She provided great service in such a short interaction. When I went to pay, another customer was waiting and asked for condiments as Gabrial approached. He acknowledged the other customer but also kindly asked if she could wait while he helped "this nice lady first." This was our first visit here at this location. The service was slow, but they were friendly. The bathroom was disgusting and scary. There was cardboard on the floor and no toilet paper in the stall. The water was so pungent with chlorine we could not drink it. I think it effected the flavor of my coffee. My bacon was burnt and my eggs were over cooked and rubbery. I requested new ones and got them quickly. The replacements were ok but had burnt parts. I suggest staying away from this location. read more

I have to admit, I kind of hate Denny's. But NOT THIS DENNY'S!!! Wow - totally unexpectedly impressed with this location. Service was SUPER quick, cooks were right on top of it, and my family of four was in and out in 45 minutes, which is exactly what you want when you're traversing CA! I was here few hours ago traveling from Southern to Bay area sow e decided to stopped by to charge our car. It Would have been good service because of the welcoming gesture, took 35 mins to recieve 3 plates of orders. I took a break from munching my food then here comes this LATINA server who was rushing to hand over the bill and asking if we want some of our plates to be taken away. This kind of gesture is so annoying considering that you wanna take your time eating and resting from long hours of drive. After driving for 9 hours today, we landed in Kettlemen City. Since we are traveling, we first tried 2 other local restaurants, thinking we'd eat somewhere local and new to us. Neither place we stopped were very welcoming and were more like a fast food place rather than a restaurant. So we went to Dennys - and what a fantastic decision! We were welcomed by 2 people as soon as we walked in, a gentleman seated us, welcomed us to "the BEST Dennys," and promptly got us beverages and answered questions. His name is Gabriel. I asked him what his favorite burger there was, and he said the bourbon bacon burger. So we ordered that - he brought them, and guaranteed they would be good. Boy, was he right! I wish I'd taken a picture. Gabriel and his wife are both here working at Dennys.... its clean, they are both so kind and welcoming - made me wish we lived closer because we would be regulars. read more

Welcome to "Best Dennys in the World"! Is how we were greeted by Gabriel after traveling a LONG way through California. Our tired, weary, faces turned into a smiles, relaxed, and ready to have a meal. Gabriel ended up being our server for dinner, and was amazing making sure we had what we needed, and not skipping a beat through dinner service. We had the most enjoyable experience while learning about the loacs who live in, and work in Kettleman City. It's a small town of 1,500!! In comparison to other franchise locations, this one is especially clean, and it's a nice place to take a break from bolting down the I-5 up to SF or down to LA. Stopping in for lunch, we were seated right away and perused the relatively large menu. To eat, I got a custom burger with a crispy veggie patty on a whole wheat bun with onions, jalapenos, and mushrooms, along with a side salad. Nothing was particularly outstanding, though I did really like the flavor and kick of the pickled jalapenos. We also had the veggie skillet, which came with grilled tomatoes, peppers, and mushrooms, along with steamed broccoli, egg whites, and extremely creamy home fries! We also got tortillas on the side, which were the perfect wrapper to make little fajitas. Go to the jack in the box across the street, at least you'll know what you're getting. The food was nowhere near what it should have been. My sisters French toast didn't come till almost 10 min after we started eating, my daughter's hash browns and the toast were burned, my over medium eggs were hard, and the bacon was also burned, but it tasted like someone sprinkled extra salt on them. We came here for breakfast. It was like early in the morning. We were driving 4 hours and have to drive for another 5 hours. We were greeted by a server with no smile. No enthusiasm. We were seated but took so long to ask us for our order. We have to approach her. Server needs to learn how to smile. Eggs were undercooked ..i can still see the slimy white thing of the eggs. The drinking glass are dirty and still has thick stains from soap. People comes to Denny's for breakfast from long drive. Staff learn how to be more energetic and put a smile on their faces.
