Denny's is Denny's, is Denny's. We came to this Denny's on the way back from a day in San Diego. The location was right of the freeway, so it was easy to find. The service was good, a little slow, but still good none the less. The food was.....well...Denny's, so what can I say. What stuck out in my head was that the restaurant was extremely BRIGHT!!! like 100 watt bulbs in EVERY light fixture. Weird....We were all a little tired, so that my be partially the reason, but my son had to cover his eyes most of the time. I would say if in the area, by all means go to this Denny's, but bring your sunglasses!! read more

Service was slow. I ordered breakfast and it was good - the cheesy brekfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. My husband ordered a hamburger that ended up very well done. We think it took 30 minutes to get our food and so we mentioned it to the manager. Our iced teas were comped. The food is good, but for some reason service was awful that day! read more

I have eaten in Denny's all over the US . They all rate about the same. Once in a blue moon you might find one with a "management issue", but all in all they are pretty good. I have lived in Lake Elsinore for three years now. We have been up to this Denny's I don't know how many times. I have never received a bad meal or bad service. The staff is always attentive and real. I say real, because I dislike perky servers. I prefer "real" which is a nice demeanor, a positive attitude, attentive, well groomed and stays away while we are eating. the food is always up to Denny's standards and laid out nice on the platter. I am mostly a breakfast guy. we go here most often after midnight and gorge on eggs , pancakes and sausage. While the food is always good, I will say that the breakfast links are terrible. They need to change brands. Farmer John is what we serve at the VFW Post . Very tasty and big. I did order a steak there recently. it was thin and grizzly. Pass on it. My Daughter loves the Moons over My Hammy. It is good. And the kids menu is pretty good too. We were in last night at midnight. The first thing I noticed was the new tables and chairs. very nice, comfortable, deep brown vinyl. and new carpets too. Lake Elsinore has a limited selection of breakfast cafes. but Denny's is to be trusted. Also the VFW Post 1508 on Waite street in Wildomar does a great breakfast most Sundays 9 to 12 for $6.00. read more

Horrible service!! This is the second visit here and the AC has been off or set to 80 degrees. No wonder the place is slow, but my first visit was quick food even though the environment was muggy and hot. Manager working on aug 6 at 2:30pm. I had a to go order here, it took about 10 minutes longer than they said it would, I had blueberry pancake meal which was tasty. Meal was about $7.00 with military discount which was nice. Not a bad spot for something to eat but the meal times for to go should be slightly quicker. read more

This is the worst Denny's I've ever been to. It's not the food. The food is actually good but the service is horrible. No matter how many times I give it another try I am always disappointed. Went in two days ago and once again no one came to even get my drink order. Time before that the guy left and forgot about me. Time before that they forgot our food and never came back to the table. Do your stomach a favor and stay away! Dirty and greasy are the two words I can think to describe both the food and the environment! Not worth the upset stomach that you get later, it the bad attitude you have to deal with when being ignored by the wait staff. Trust me when I say go elsewhere! Gave this a one star because it won't let me out zero. Waitstaff is terrible, our particular server didn't get our order right, left no silverware at the table, had no real knowledge of the menu, when our 5 year old spilled his drink across the table I had to go seek out something to wipe it up with , the waiter returned with a wad of paper towels to basically spread the stickiness around, there was a big spot of spilled syrup on the floor next to my seat from the previous customers which he did the same paper towel cleanup with, no offer to bring my child another drink, my food came incorrectly and I was told they had to make a substitution, fine but they should have told me before serving. The waiter was nowhere throughout the meal. The food was mediocre, and we overheard another couple leaving say that they would never come back...our sentiments exactly! read more

I have yet to have a good experience here. Food is alway blah. Not surprising since it is a Denny's. Service is slow considering I never go at a busy time. And every time I pay with cash, the person at the register cannot do math and give me the correct change. Seriously annoying. read more

I love denny's! but this one here, omg! If your in no hurry to eat, this is the place for you.. It takes forever just to order drinks.. I ordered water w/ a lemon slice, I got my water 10 min after ordering & my lemon 40 min later with my food. I thought when you ordered appetizers, that they came before your food? Badly needs a refurb. Upholstery on the chairs and booths are old. Most Denny's are anyway. Needs a splash of vibrancy or something. The service and food are hit or miss. So there are some good days. Still like their breakfast slams though. I've noticed Denny's have increased their prices in the past few years which puts them in the same price point as some of the newer franchises that are lot more modern and cleaner. Some minor tweaks will probably go a long way to revive it. read more

Have gone on three occasion. First time my family waited almost 45 min for food. Second time, I only had a moments to settle down and get my daughter seated when they asked If I was ready to order. Never got refills. Last time, I waiting for my change. The waitress was friendly so I gave her a tip and the manager said "that's not how we do things here!" WTH!!! read more

I walked in this morning at 5:45 am before boarding a flight to get a quick breakfast. [Before I start I should clarify that many years ago when young married woman, I was a secret shopper at Denny's. It's been a while, but I walked into a cold restaurant with a couple of patrons and was seated by a server named Savannah. I asked for the meal that was advertised on the board which was some form of Slam I asked her if that were 6,99 she agreed it was and I said I'd like that. When asked what I like to drink I asked for grapefruit juice. She returned to tell me they were they had no grapefruit juice, just a berry blend. I asked for orange juice she came back to say they had no orange juice until 6. I then asked for hot chocolate. A very watery brown liquid was brought me with a little whipped cream on top. The eggs were tasteless and the English muffin was burnt. There was no butter on the pancakes and they also had no flavor. When she came back to ask how my food was I told her the chocolate tasted like water ...she took it away with apology and brought me water at my request. When the bill came I was charged for the hot chocolate and for a grand slam breakfast. Since I've eaten only half of it in the first place and it was not mentioned on the board I asked her why I was being charged an extra $4. She removed the charge for the chocolate since she had taken it away and charged me for a grand slam breakfast. I objected as I had asked for the 6.99 special on the board. She gave me a blank stare and charged me for the Grand Slam breakfast. The restroom was dirty. I will not be back. read more

Kids eat free on tuesdays from 4-10pm. Breakfast is great, even for dinner. Pot roast sucks, don't get it. Waitress Theresa was super sweet.

Ordered a ceasar salad & my daughter ordered a side salad. Was later told "we are out of lettuce." How does a restaurant run out of lettuce??? Poor management, that's how! Later, my daughter ordered dessert, and then we were told " we are out of vanilla & chocolate ice cream." The only saving grace was our waitress Iris. She was pretty attentive. read more

Just got take out from there. Ordered 2 oreo shakes with our meal to go. I asked the waitress to make our shakes last so they are not watery & she asked if we wanted whip cream I said yes. We got our order and one shake is completely watery, & both of them had barely any whip cream on them. They didn't even fill up the to go cup! Those shakes are way too expensive to be jipped like that! I should have got our shakes at Jack n the box! They were understaffed as well. Won't be ordering food from there anytime soon. read more

This has to be one of the worst Dennys I have ever visited. The waiter didn't bring one thing I ordered correctly with the exception of the water. As soon as we walked in we asked if they were open, no customers and very dim lighting. If we could of seen better we would of probadly left. Horrible experience from the waiter, cook and the Manager Angel. The wait for our food was about 30 minutes. Kids spaghetti was cold and noodles were hard, the meatballs had hard chucks of who knows what. Kids pizza looked microwaved and was rubbery. The grapes that came with it had a couple rotten ones. The moons over my hammy had one thin slice of ham; it was more like an egg sandwich. Professionalism was lacking the way the waiter reached from behind between my son and I; streching across the table to give a warmer plate of spaghetti to my daughter. Also the Manager initiated a conversation with the severs about a previous customer in an unprofessional maner, loud enough for present customers to hear. The Manager was informed of the listed issues and responded with "mmm." This Denny's has definitely gone downhill. read more

Food was ok service was horrible finished meal waitress didn't even an offer a refill. We asked for the check it was $35 and we left $40 on the table even though she didn't deserve a tip, we start the car and the waitress,cook and manager run outside and start writing down our license plate I ask what the problem is and they accuse us of not paying I turn off car and insist they check the table again, they come out apologizing with cash in hand. I'm pretty sure the cook hand something in his hand what looked to be a knife when he first came out. The restaurant was not even busy they could have checked the table the first time. this place tasted like ass. even for a denny's. took about 15 monotypes to even get acknowledged to be able to be seated. the guy who sat us seemed extremely high on pot. eventually we made out order brought out the wrong pancakes and said "oh yeah let me go talk to them" after another 15 minutes he showed back up with the other ones which ended up being nasty anyways. how you can mess up pancakes? no clue but they managed to do it. the chicken strips i got were SO DAMN salty. tasted like i was sucking on a salt packet. the ranch was nasty. like this whole experience was just nasty. my oreo shake was decent though. as well as my water. also, the dead flies on the lights and shades really adds character. i get that it's denny's and it's a quick cheap bite to eat but DAMN i'm not impressed at all. read more

So, I sent a message by an associate from this particular Denny's stating they are sorry for the experience I had and to give them another try. They also said if I did the check was on them. And low and behold I went back. I didn't say anything about the email I received until after my meal. And to my surprise I got awesome service the food was amazing (well as amazing as Denny's cooks it) and service was awesome! Oh did I say that already. Anyway, after my meal and was given my check I asked the waitress to have a seat and we talked about the service. She was very pleasant and had no problem taking care of the check for me, you see she was the one that sent me the reply on Yelp. Thank you for your service and I hope to visit again soon. read more

Ordered eggs basted, got 2 very cold hard eggs. I sent them back and had to explain what eggs basted was...there server claimed the chef told her "eggs basted ment the eggs were steamed" yeah that's the total opposite of eggs basted. For the future, eggs basted is over easy eggs, with extra butter or bacon grease. Other dennys places never screwed that up before. Also my steak...1/3 was raw, 1/3 was well done and 1/3 was medium rare. I actually cut my steak with the butter knife because it was sharper than the thing they gave me. We ordered an appetizer, of course didn't get it till we were half way done eating our dinner. Toast wasn't even toasted, it was raw. Apparently it takes 4 waitresses to make 1 milkshake, while the oldest lady is trying to handle all the tables, cash out customer's, clean up, and serve the food. Sickening how lazy the workers are. This Denny's has much improved. Service is much better, and their air conditioning (which was probably the cause of the mildew smell) has been fixed. The best part is... they never close! read more

I don't know what's up with all the bad reviews. Came here on a Thursday around 11:30am and the service was fast and friendly. We got our food within 15 mins (which is the fastest I've been served ever at a dennys) and the food was hot and fresh. No complaints what so ever. Would def return. read more
