If I could leave a zero star review, that would still be an understand for the profiling and mistreatment me and a group of friends experienced on June 29 around 1:00am by a white female waitress. It started by her trying to scare me and my friend a by saying police was on the way after we did nothing. So we stayed knowing our heart and rights. After she told us this she continued to not give us our food for up to 45-50 mins, and durning that time for 30 minutes of it she was talking to another table the whole time. While waiting we also noticed ants and other bugs on the table. So, as one would do, ask for to-go boxes and for the waitress to get the check, since we already were getting horrible treatment. She said yes but then came up a little while after and told us (and I quote), "you gotta pay before you can get ur box, it policy" and shrugged and rushed off. Of course that made some of my friends hurt and upset. So I got my card and looked for her while my two other friends were getting their payment together. Once i finally found her I asked her to take my payment so we can pack up and leave (still being respectful and understanding but also disgusted by the energy and environment) . She through whatever she had in her hand down and stormed off to the front to take my payment. At this point my friends come over to pay and one of them tell her that her policy is stupid. After this point she started getting very disrespectful and started saying how my friend needs to shut his mouth and wait out for his box OUTSIDE? Never heard of a policy of making a costumer wait outside for a box but. So I told the lady that if he doesn't say anything disrespectful he can wait for his box inside and get his food. which then she levelled out talking to me. At this point i've came to the realization that this women is a complete and utter racist and has been profiling us since the moment we all walked in. After the fact we started packing our food to leave. After my hispanic friend packs his food she yells from across the restaurant that he "packed his food and he needs to leave". as we're are all still packing up and getting our stuff together she started cussing at him to get out. I told her we're packing up and she told me that "we have ALL been disrespectful from the moment we walked in and we need to leave. Mind you, it's a table of 5 dining at 1 in the morning all of us are tired and ending one of our friends birthday night with eating out. We came in on positive energy and FULL pocket ready to pay. So I turn around and tell her that i'm a paying costumer and i'm getting the food that I payed for and then i'm leaving and that I also have been nothing but calm and respectful to her. and the other two who didn't come up to pay didn't say a word up until this point. but after that comment she had all of us messed up. we all told her how wrong and unprofessional she is and she didn't seem to have a care in the world. The audacity that this women had to give us the treatment of an enemy from the moment we walked in was unacceptable and completely unbelievable. I never got her name but she worked night shift on June 29, 2024 and she was a young white women with brownish hair. We left knowing we will NEVER go to denny ever again and knowing that i had to make first ever yelp review to let people know how disrespectful and disappointing denny's really is. read more

Let me begin saying our waitress Ana was interesting. Her service was exceptional, until the check arrived. The food was just what I expected and wanted, regular good diner food. We had our AARP card, which entitles us to a 15% discount on our bill. My sister ordered the Junior breakfast, an egg, 2 bacon, and hashbrowns at 5.49. I ordered the 55+ starter, an egg, one bacon, hashbrowns and toast for 7.49. Plus, two coffees. The check came. My sister's meal had been charged out at la a carte pricing. Plus, we were charged for something extra that we could not account for. four separate items for the Junior menu, when she only ordered three. My order appeared to be correct. When we questioned the charges, the waitress told us she was trying to be nice, since they don't allow the junior menu to be purchased by anyone but children. she was trying to make us happy. She should have told us. She did not until we questioned it. Then we wanted to use the AARP card. She said we already had a discounted meal, because she wasn't supposed to sell the junior meal. Again, she never told us. We asked to see the manager. The manager, Kristalla (I might have her name spelled incorrectly - she did not wear a name tag) essentially told us they would NOT honor AARP for the Junior meal. She said the waitress was in the wrong, and we should have never been allowed to order it. Not our fault. We were never told. In fact, my sister worked for Denney's for more than 40 years, and as an area manager, retiring less than 2 years ago! She never would have told a customer they could not order something on the menu. My sister advised the manager of her previous history. The manager told us times were tight, and operating expenses were tight, therefore they had to make some rules and this was one of them. She offered no help, nothing. The waitress was embarrassed at the dressing down she got in front of us. We will not be back here. read more

We were then told 10 min wait after I blocked the 3rd party from paying at the register.
