I wasn't a huge fan of the chimichurri sauce, but the steak didn't even need it. The plate came with two sides plus a few blooming onion pieces, which felt like a lot of food for the price. I chose a baked potato and a Caesar salad with ranch and everything was solid. For under $40, it felt like a great value, especially considering how filling it was. The service was phenomenal. Our server got hit with about five tables at once, but I never felt neglected and everything came out in a timely way. The real star of the meal was the bread. Ordered a filet mignon, and my girlfriend ordered, king pasta. Both items were incredibly bland. I'm pretty sure there was absolutely zero seasoning on it. Had no flavor. Also when I first got the steak, there were parts of it that looked completely raw. I ordered it medium rare, and had it sent back to be cooked a little longer. Girlfriend said her pasta was gross, it lacked flavor as well. She said she hated everything about it. For the price we paid, we could have just went to Flemings. Came here for my birthday months ago. I come every year that has turned into a tradition of 30 years now. I just had a burger this time as I worked a long day and couldn't have a full entre meal. The server was swamped with a lot of tables but still did a good job and was attentive about as much as you can be being swamped. Burger came out nice and hot. Food has definitely degraded. My sister had a gnat in her wine, which they replaced and comp'd. We didn't get drink refills until the end of the meal when we got boxes. Went for their $14.99 3 course meal! Yum did not disappoint. Start you off with warm brown bread that you spread with soften butter. I enjoy coming here. When busy we typically can find a booth in the bar section without any problem. Service has always been great. Food is usually good with just a few issues but when brought to their attention they have always remade whatever the issue was. On our last visit my ladies lobster tails were overcooked but they handled it quickly and she received remade tails that were great. This location has it together. Servers are nice and check in at the right times. Sometimes there's a wait for a table but if there's an opening in the bar section it's all yours and this includes the tables not just the bar top. Stopped in for a late dinner as I was craving steak. We started with the bloomin' onion. It was a bit greasy and the seasoning were a little too spicy for my liking but was presented fresh. I ordered the Filet Mignon and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster was sweet and not rubbery so it tasted pretty good. The loaded potato was yummy was well. Everything we ordered was yummy except the blooming onion. It was entirely too salty. Didn't really dip it into the sauce otherwise it would be even saltier. Was disappointed because we hadn't been here in years and was looking forward to the appetizer outback is known for. I had to take a big gulp of water after every bite. We were craving for their Bloomin' Onion and Outback Steakhouse is the home of the famous delicious Bloomin' Onion! It's been a while since we've dined at this restaurant and our first time to this location at the Lakes. Restaurant was nice and clean it was steady and we were greeted within minutes and we sat in the Bar area. Chloe and Frank were our servers and they both did good serving us during dinner. Currently on the menu is their special going on The Aussie Aussie Aussie 3-Course Meal. I say it's a pretty good deal starting at $14.99 available for dine in only. Course 1: Soup or Salad. Course 2: Choice of entrée served with one steakhouse side. Course 3: Individual slice of New York-Style Cheesecake. Choice of Raspberry Melba or Chocolate Sauce. We ordered: The Outback Steakhouse Baked Bread with Butter. Course 1: we both got their Baked Potato Soup. Course 2: we both got the 6 oz Center-Cut Sirloin. One side with Cheese Aussie Fries-Bacon and cheese and the second side was the Seasoned Rice. Added the new Chimichurri Sauce for an up charge for my steak. Course 3: New York Style Cheesecake one with Chocolate Sauce and another with Raspberry Melba Sauce. Everything we ordered was delicious! The bread was served warm and the butter was nicely melted. So, yea. I went into this place late on Veterans Day and I somehow forgot about this place and how everything I ordered here was on point and for whatever reason better than expected. The place had a an obvious steakhouse appeal with dark tones and warm hospitable smiles abounding. The tables were clean, comfortable and inviting with good lighting. And these poor wait staff had spent the past two days helping my fellow veterans to the promotion of a free three course meal for veterans (this is rare as a simple 10-20%discount is more common) over that period. So I wanna shout this place out. I was offered a seat and told about the special, they said they ran out of the 6 .oz sirloin(which i was looking forward to, but I don't doubt their claim as we were only seated 30 minutes before the kitchen closed) and was swiftly relieved of my dismay upon seeing the coconut shrimp on the menu, and then proceeded to add to it with the seasoned vegetables and the loaded baked potato. I can honestly say, everything was perfect. I don't often think of chain restaurants in this fashion, but this place at the final hours of a long promotion had helpful and wonderful staff, who delivered excellent freshly made coconut shrimp, perfectly assembled and loaded baked potato, and every bite of the vegetables was better than the last. In addition I got my daughter the Mac n cheese, and we had to stop her from eating it, and if anyone else has a 3 year old, that is no small feat for them to want to eat like that. So the main thing was the main thing, the food was on every level better than expected and nearly perfect to what I hoped it could be, and the people and place made me feel welcome the moment I arrived. So with this level of excellence at this late hour, I am fully recommending each and every one of you who love great food and warm and comfortable environments to give this place another visit, or check it out for the first time. High marks. They got a customer in me from here on out when I want a delicious meal 1) for the fact that they do the Veterans Day meal correct, and 2) the level of service they provide while doing it and all their other meals. The food was amazing and super seasoned (minus the prime rib), but unfortunately, the service was a total mess. Our server, Mike, was the opposite of attentive; at one point, we just needed horseradish sauce and another server had to call his name 20 times before he finally responded. I believe the store was by the South Premium Outlet mall. As a Door Dasher, I go to many locations and this one stood out because Ricky (Ricardo) was helping me in the Take Away area and gave me great customer service. He was very friendly and got my order to me right away. He also gave me his purple quoala squishy toy, that was a promotional item, because I noticed it and asked about it. His new steak came out and she didn't ask about it until 15 minutes later when i was walking past her to go to the bathroom. she came to our table a total of three times. I've been there 2x in the last month. Every time I've came there has been a homeless senior citizen black male sitting at the front door. I know its not an upscale restaurant but when I bring my wife or family I shouldn't have to walk past a homeless person with their suitcase greeting me at the front door. We visited on Saturday for lunch with a party of four adults and one child and it was a nice experience. We were seated right away and the waitress took drink orders. The place was basically empty. We started with a Blooming Onion and the Steak Dip as appetizers. Both were well made, with the chips for the Steak Dip standing out. From there we went with a NY Strip & Lobster, a Sirloin & Lobster, a Ribeye, and a kids Grilled Cheese. All were cooked to specification and tasty. The lobster tails are pretty small though. After my initial experience at Outback Steakhouse, the restaurant actually reached out and sent me a gift card as a way to make things right. I never really got around to trying them again, but I do appreciate that they at least made the effort--it shows they do care about customer service to some extent. That said, my original experience still stands. Service was slow, the steak was overcooked, and for the price, there are just better options out there. But, to be fair, they're still open, so they must be doing something right for a lot of people. I'm bumping my review up to 3 stars since they did follow up, and I'll give them credit for that.
