We stopped here for an early dinner last night after an appointment. It's a typical Denny's that caters to people of my age--gray hairs. I had the Super Bird, a turkey sandwich with cheese and bacon. It's been a long time since I had one and it tasted very good. My wife had an omelet and she was quite pleased with it. For dessert I splurged and got their new Red Velvet Pancake Puppies Sundae. Red Velvet dougnut holes with cream cheese frosting and vanilla ice cream. Super! Probably 1,000 calories in dessert alone. :-) Our server, Travis, was excellent. He was polite and very much on the ball with answering questions, taking the order, and refilling drinks. I am a fan of this location! read more

I visit Denny's and in the past had visited for their amazing crepes. Only to find they were taken of the menu. My husband loves the spaghetti they serve. Once again it was taken off the menu too I couldn't wait to get my milkshake at the end of my meal. Couldn't get that either the machine was broke. Hmmm joke? We arrived at 2pm and only got served after 3pm mind you there's only 3 tables busy with a couple customers on each. Waitress forgot to put the order. I've been going to various Denny's restaurants around the country for a VERY long time - a this morning was BY FAR THE MOST APPALLING experience I've ever had. Medioctrity at Denny's is frequent and expected - TERRIBLE, INDIGESTIBLE, RUDE, SMUG DAYLIGHT HIGHWAY ROBBERY IS NOT. These people have ZERO right to be in business. One star is FAR TOO HIGH A RATING FOR THEM, AND I CERTAINLY HOPE (AND EXPECT THAT) THEY ARE OUT OF BUSINESS BEFORE I EVER DRIVE BY THE LOCATION AGAIN. First - the waitress took our order for two coffees - so far so good, apart from the fact that it is Denny's coffee and barely worth the nickel they used to charge for it, much less the $ 3.50 which it now sells (to utter fools) for. But less than a sip into it the waitress was back offering to refill cups that had barely been touched (we're talking less than 60 seconds from when she poured it) - then - not unexpectedly - utter neglect until the food was delivered. Which brings me to - if that food was cooked to order I'm the deceased Queen of England. We were there about 9AM today - and the restaurant was virtually empty (not surprising) when we came in. But when our food came, about 30 minutes after we ordered it, it was not even TEPID - IT WAS COLD. AND UNCOOKED. At least the breakfast sausages were uncooked, and the bacon had been sitting so long the fat had congealed on it. The pancakes which were part of my wife's order were so cold that the minuscule butter substitute on top never even melted, though she could only stomach chewing about 1/4 of them and left the rest untouched. And don't get me started on the eggs (scrambled at about 6AM) with the mystery sauce (my wife thought it might be some sort of cheese substitute - I think it was orange tofu) which were inedible (and COLD). The hash browns were also uncooked (parts were still almost frozen) and the toast so untoasted that the butter substitute on the slices also didn't melt. The waitress, however, God bless her, DID finally ask, when delivering the food if we would like more coffee - to which we reluctantly assented since we weren't going to be offered water and we didn't want to beg for it - but then she ignored our "yes" and did not bring it for such a long time, that my wife actually got up, went to the check out counter and complained to her while the manager overheard. That didn't work - he, the manager went and checked on the coffee pot, and about five minutes later, pausing at the two other occupied tables in the 30 table restaurant to chatter happily away, our waitress finally decided to get the coffee refills, which she did with great surliness. THIS WAS A TOTAL RIPOFF. HAD IT BEEN FREE I WOULD HAVE BEEN A FOOL TO TAKE IT. As it was I took the uncooked sausage and the congealed grease bacon home, where I COOKED IT and gave it to the dogs. I'm sure the dogs (and probably my wife and I too) will get food poisoning from this - but I'm also quite sure the fine print protects this TERRIBLE, AWFUL, HORRIBLE DENNY'S. Did I mention, the manager gave us the "Friends and Family" discount which wasn't quite enough to offset the cost of the cup and a quarter of the worst coffee in the world, but did reduce the tab - but then of course he had the nerve to look at me smugly and then frown grievously when I touched the NO TIP button. My wife and I will NEVER DARKEN THE DOOR OF THIS OR ANY DENNY'S AGAIN UNTIL TOP MANAGEMENT OF THE CHAIN INFORMS US BY CERTIFIED MAIL THAT THE MANAGER, THE COOK, AND THE WAITRESS HAVE ALL BEEN FIRED AND THEIR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE CLAIMS CONTESTED, AND THAT THE RESTAURANT ITSELF HAS BEEN BURNED TO THE GROUND AND THE ASHES SCATTERED IN OUTER SPACE BEYOND THE GRAVITATIONAL PULL OF THE EARTH. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS OR ANY OTHER DENNY'S! PS: I know that ultimately my credit card will uphold this daylight highway robbery, but I'm going to protest the charge anyway - the ONLY part of the tacit agreement which Denny's upheld was to deli ver matter that might have been food had it been handled correctly, and liquid that might have been coffee, but certainly with the worst attitude in a bad attitude world. read more

So it's unfortunate I have to right this review because the service at this location is usually stellar! I just left the Sahara/Buffalo location and didn't even get served after I was seated. I watched as a group that arrived after I did get seated and order taken right away. I'm assume today they must have been short staff, but you should always be prepared no matter what the situation. read more

Came here for a late dinner and had a great experience. They were not busy and the service was excellent. We were seated right away and our server was quick and friendly. Worst DENNYS EVER !!!Disaster,1st time and last time ordering with them because these dummy's won't have what you are looking for nor will they have the decency in calling before you arrive to even save you the trouble of driving in. I literally asked for the simplest thing on the menu apple pie crisp to end my Mother's Day I spoke with Jorge and when my husband got there they looked at him like he had an extra 6 legs and was like " sorry we don't have apple pie, but we have cheesecake" are you dumb?! Worst food I've eaten at a Denny's, ever. The only reason this gets one star is Kevin was a polite server whom unfortunately was having to do register and waiting by himself with multiple tables. The hamburger was so greasy and no taste but bland beef that tasted near rotten. 4 onion rings. For my partner, the chicken fried steak was greasy and somehow worse then the burger. Don't even think the fries were decent, you'd be wrong, they were horrible. Bland and greasy. What a disappointment and waste of money. The Denny's at 8000 W Sahara is one of the best I've visited! I live in Pahrump and when in Vegas I try to visit this location. Victor and Anna are amazing servers. Love the old music. It was pretty darn bad okay. Right when we walked in there were no employees to greet us so we just sat down. Then we got served by a woman that seemed to be intoxicated. This is my first time going to Denny's in Las Vegas. I just moved from Los Angeles a couple months ago, the food was really good. The reason I am giving 5 stars is the customer service I received from our server Ana T. , she was excellent. She makes you feel like family more than just a customer. She was really attentive to our needs, as I was putting ketchup on my gas browns it started to run out, she was at a different table and noticed and without asking she brought me another bottle. The food was great but her service made my day and my experience at Denny's amazing! I will definitely come back again and would even wait to sit in her section! Denny's please take note and give this lady a raise. She deserves it!!! read more
