Honestly best Danny's I've ever been too!!! They had one of the best customer services ever. Although my niece was acting a bit bratty and threw water all over the place they immediately helped to clean up the mess. We had breakfast at Denny's on July 17, 2021 and it was by far the best service I've ever had at any restaurant! Best experience completely due to the service that was amazing!! Not only was the server attentive, it seemed that the entire team worked together and we constantly had team members getting us whatever we needed and with a very upbeat attitude! This is by far the best experience we have ever had at a Denny's. The fact that restaurants are only able to operate outdoors gave this little Denny's more of a community feel. Meeting up with a family member and friend in Long Beach and decision is to pick this Dennys. I remember this Dennys from when I resided in the area many years ago. I was kind of glad that they are still open and especially now with the pandemic. We found Dennys had put up several blue popup shades and when I asked, we could seat ourselves on any table. 4 of us, so we took a table by the shade as the sun was still up and it was warm. Our server must have been Daniel R. She was friendly and worked alone. Lucky for her there was only one other patron and he was ready to leave. We are her only customers. We ordered a big appetizer of Nachos, then pancakes, hash browns, and raspberry teas. For me, it was breakfast rather than dinner. I ordered off the menu as she informs me. But they will make me the Vegetable loaded Omelette which comes with crispy hash browns and my choice is the sourdough toast. She was able to bring all the food out and helped us with the condiments. Unfortunately and perhaps I was not clear enough, I did so want a couple more of that grape jelly for my sourdough toast. We were set and another refill of iced tea made me happy. Thanks Dennys and the very efficient staff to get us the food and safe surrounding before the sun was totally down. I notice that the young lady also had to put the chairs and tables back inside. So, allow me to vent-- I come in with my lovely fiancé to enjoy a nice brunch at a Denny's--a restaurant we often enjoy. It was relatively empty since it was in the middle of a school day. Efren, our very esteemed, and detailed waiter waited us. We ordered from the value menu with no butter on the French Toast and a side of Sourdough that supposedly comes with one of our orders. It took nearly 25 minutes for our order to come out, it was cold, there was butter on the french toast and it took another 15 minutes for the sourdough only after I had complained that it hadn't arrived... but it wasn't sourdough, it ended up being white toast. The worst part was that I got charged for an extra side of toast when my item was supposed to come with toast! I wouldn't have been sore over it if we didn't have such a lousy and inattentive server--Efren. Needless to say, if I were to ever go back, I wouldn't have the same server. read more
