We came here on a Sunday night on our way back from San Diego. We have never had great service at Denny's until tonight when Mr. Humberto took great care of us. He is efficient, friendly, and kept us happy. The food is standard Denny's, but the exceptional service is what made the meal memorable. We don't frequent Denny's too often, but with their new vegan and vegetarian options, we will definitely keep this as a dine out option from now on. read more

Poor service, spacey server, and poor management. Multiple incorrect orders were brought out. We ordered nachos without sour cream and we watched our server put our food on someone else's table notice it was not for them then noticed the sour cream took it to the back and scooped off the large mush of cream to then bring it to us. Next I ordered a sandwich without a bun due to an allergy; the sandwich was brought out with a bun and sent back due to that. Not even 3 minutes later the sandwich was brought back out lettuce wrapped; clearly the bun was removed even though it was brought up that wheat/gluten was an allergy. There was the excuse that the kitchen was busy but when we walked in there were maybe 4 other tables with people in various stages of eating/ordering. Management was not supporting their staff and was acting like they could only deal with to go orders and the register even though we waited over 5 minutes for her to appear to check out the long line at the register. I believe our server was newer and at one point during our wait she got a table of over 12 people and the other servers and staff did nothing to help her or her tables that she already had. As we were waiting to check out the family in front of us joked there teen son should check us out and the father said they would probably hire his son and maybe someone could get an order right so my assumption was they also had a similar experience to us. I came here by myself this morning and I had a great experience, I didn't think it would be busy because people normally are at work and school on Friday mornings but it was pretty busy. I got sat right away and it took a little while to get my coffee but maybe I was just grumpy because I needed my morning coffee (we all know that feeling). I had a great server named Claudia who looked awfully busy but she still managed to make my experience nice by checking on me a few times although she was running laps making sure everyone had everything. Overall it was a good experience! One recommendation would be to get better fruit for the fruit bowls! Placed an order on Grubhub... driver never picked up the order (totally Grubhubs fault)... BUT... when I spoke to Rudy the manager, he was beyond rude, disrespectful and spoke over me! All I asked is why he couldn't call me go let me know my order had been sitting for over an hour? After all, he did call me to let me know they were out of chocolate shake, so why not call me to let us know the order was just sitting there? Or even call Grubhub!? On top of it all when I asked if they could remake our order (as it would now be cold as it has been sitting for over an hour) he told me "no because it's not my problem"... I WAS SHOCKED!!! Can't even believe this guy is a manager!! He could of listened, sympathized with what had happened and at least of tried to make a bad situation better with at the very least, a good attitude! I am the Sabrina that has good and bad reviews here for the Murrieta location! Stood majority of my customers were amazing and honestly the customers are a part of good customer service believe it or not! Negative attracts negative and positive.... You know! My bad reviews seem to be at the beginning of my employment there but yea we get pretty busy and working at any Denny's can be hectic.... It's the customers though that made me a good server! Your positive attitudes and smiles make it easy to remain calm and give good service!!! I have had nights where I was packed but every single table there were MY regulars... That's such a great feeling! In conclusion, I thank you guys for being amazing customers... My husband and I ordered delivery through Grubhub. Got a burger, fries, milkshake, a Large app and a chicken dinner meal. Came out to about $45. When it arrived the burger didn't have fries, the app was suppose to come with three sauces and it didn't and we didn't get our milkshake either. We usually suck it up, but paying almost $50 I called the restaurant. I spoke to a waitress who answered who argued about what was in the order, then she handed it over to a manager who basically told us to call grubhub Bc it wasn't there problem. SO, I call grubhub and THEY call the restaurant just to get the same waitress to put them on hold for 10 mins (probably in hopes they would hang up) finally talked to a manager who still wouldn't refund. In the end grubhub ending up refunding us for the missing items. But that's just sad, food was alright but that's the worse customer service I have ever experienced!!!!! read more

I've been to this location about 5-6 times and I always had to wait for someone to seat us even though there were plenty of tables available. The biggest problem is the lack of servers. The remodel looks AWESOME and the staff is very friendly but the food takes long every time we come here. It's not that the chef's are slow, it's the waiter's not constantly checking to see if the order is up. So it sits... Therefore, the coffee and food are servered cold. My family and I went to Denny's for a late night snack during Black Friday, as we were all hungry from our insane escapades. I split the nachos with my cousin. It came with ground beef, pico de gallo, sour cream, and of course, cheese. I was very disappointed in how it tasted. You could completely tell that they just got cheese out of some can and heated it up. I could barely eat it because it was not appealing at all. I will never order the nachos here again. read more

I wish there was a way for me to leave 0 stars. My family and I went to Denny's last night to celebrate my sons Christmas performance everything was fine until we left. Later that night I was woken up because I was up sick in the bathroom. After being up every 20-30 minutes with illness in the bathroom I realize that I had food poisoning. I contacted the manager the next morning and she basically told me I was wrong. I cant even fathom the horrible "managerial" service we received tonight. Never in my life have I or my family been treated so horrible in my life. We decided to eat here as we usually do after Friday Night football games. We got here around 11 and waited a little bit because it was a bit busy. A large table of high school students and MAYBE 6 other tables. A couple waitresses, a buser, A COOK, and a manager (i use this title loosely). There was 6 of us. Took about 10 mins to be seated. Took about 10-15 mins for the waitress to come over and let us she would be back to take our drink orders. Thats was fine they were moderately busy. Maybe about 10 mins after our drinks she took our food order. Not until 1220 did we get our food. Grant you we could of got up and left but we were waiting watching food come into the window thinking that has to be ours but it would always go to another table. Another waitress came to our table because during this time of course we grew impatient looking around for a "manager" to tell us they are trying to get us our food. We ate our food because THE FOOD WAS NOT THE ISSUE THE SLOW SERVICE WAS!!! We go to pay and ask for the manager who comes over and tells us he can give us 9.00 off our 80+ dollar bill. We explained to him why we felt a larger discount was deserved and he refused said if we didnt pay he would call the police. Not one time did we try to leave without paying because yes we ate the food but seriously over an hour to receive pancakes, bacon and grilled cheese. Tables that arrived way after us got their food, ate their food, got their bills and paid and left before us. Not one table multiple tables. When I asked the manager how would he feel if it were his family he kinda smirked and said I dont know how to answer you. When asked why people were served before us he always answered with a smirk and attitude and told me that didnt happen. When I asked him his name He responded with "Anthony" i politely asked him his last name and he laughed and said you dont need that. Okay cool whatever. This SAME manager was witness by my kids outside YELLING at an employee. The employee responded to "Anthony" with I cant work like this. He told employee "Good" How is that anyway to run ANY business. Our waitress was awesome with our refills and getting us what we needed except our food. The manager told us "I was in the kitchen cooking too" Okay then our food should of been out sooner shouldnt it? Watch out parents! Kids eat free says 2 kids per adult entry got there said was only one kid per adult.they said it was fine and would take care of it.At the end of our under staffed dinner they Would not give the advertised kids eat free deal. We had 6 adults eating 2 separate bills me wife 4 kids.thought they would just add kids to other bill sense they said they would take care of it.nope had to sit there and argue with the manager helias witch was so rude tolled me i could take my Business somewhere else.so I will! Denny's is a place known to many as a comfort food and comforting atmosphere, a place where you can feel at home no matter what time it is. The night shift at this Denny's is by far the best wait staff I have ever met, they are all extremely attentive and meet all needs including food allergies and odd requests. I've only been to this Denny's twice however my second time going was by far my favorite, the first time was rather average and right after my homecoming but the second time around I noticed that the waitress was absolutely charming. She was very nice and checked up on us often to make sure we were eating well or had enough drinks. We were seated right away and the food came out rather quickly as well. On request, she even gave us the booth seat with the outlet so my boyfriend could charge his phone. I'd go to Denny's over iHop anyday. read more
